Sic Semper Tyrannis (Future History of America Book 2)
from the "The Future History of America Series: The Collapse Collection"
from my monthly read list:
2017#58 (010) Marcus Richardson - The Future Histry of America Series: The Collapse Collection Book 2 (Kindle/$.99) - 5/28/2017
The tale continues, Chicago is destroyed and the rebels killed or escaped, the Russians invade Florida and New York City and in the west the Chinese send an army up through Mexico. The UN makes a deal with the head of FEMA and self proclaimed president. The carrier squadron continues to fight its way home from the Mediterranean and local forces in this country continue to fight the invaders. Much is happening on several fronts and the tide may be turning. If you are into this sort of doomsday fiction, this is a good series.

Great story

A real joy to read even if subject matter is dark and scary. Once again like the first book in series I couldn't put it down.

extremely disappointing follow up to a book which was a clever idea. Suffers from the usual Kindle defect of poor proof reading - missing words, incorrect words etc but this is a lazy follow up- volume 1 ends with US cities under the control of rioters, EU forces landing in US and China and Russia invading, also Israel cut in two and about to go nuclear. US forces are attempting to get home.

Volume 2 is 3 months later ( its stated that the heroes driver has been driving them for 3 months)-no mention of Israel, EU forces have disappeared, US troops still not home ( are they walking back?) and the takeover of the cities seems to have stalled. Then suddenly team USA triumphs implausibly- even John Wayne at his most gung ho wouldn't have appeared in the film of this tosh. Save your money

Fear For America

This is the second of three books I've read. It's very intense. The questions it makes one ask maybe should be asked by every American. As it stands, I fear for America this PC liberal America. Reading for me if the author is good, places me within the pages. I smell the smoke, blood sweat and see the destruction. I feel the fear these characters in the book feel as if it's happening now. I can't help but wonder what those who fought the British felt. Ordinary citizens with no military training yet they brought freedom to America. This book seems so real. Read it and experience what I believe will eventually come to these shores.

Less readable than book 1 but good enough to lead me on to book 3. Too many military completely underestimating their opponents and complete with major personality disorders. Some editing would be useful too.

Good book

I enjoyed these first two books but, the amount of typos was really, really bad. It took a lot away from the story for me. I will still buy the next book to see how all of this ends.

Goodness gracious! What more can these poor people go through? Not to mention the massive destruction of the country! Three armies on the loose, a renegade government, and the poor characters caught right in the middle of it all. Very suspenseful!!

I love the story, but the author is in DIRE need of an editor. The numerous grammatical and punctuation errors make this English teacher want to reach for my red pen! My rating: Story--5 stars. Editing: 2 stars. Keep writing, but PLEASE have someone edit your work!
