I have to tell you that the cover is what drew me into this story and then I found the blurb to be very intriguing. I am so glad that I gave it a chance as it was a great read. It was short, sexy, and captivating.

We meet Lucy, a single woman who is ready to settle down. However, she has had a crush on Heath, a family friend, for years. The two have a past; they grew up together, and there is a lot of hatred between the two. Or at least that’s how it seems...

“There’s a thin line between love and hate.”

Underneath it all is a sizzling chemistry.

“Fuck! I want you to fuck me.”

After years of horrible dates, Lucy decides to do something crazy. She decides to marry a complete stranger through an experiment. But what happens if her match isn’t a stranger?

Trust definitely left me wanting more and I can’t wait for the next installment to find out if Lucy will say “I do.” ~ Tiffany, 4 stars

~~~
I saw the covers, I read the blurb, and I. Was. Sold. Then, I read the book. And now? I'm excited for more.
A marriage experiment. A set of brothers that, frankly, make her crazy. An idea to get her happily ever after in a slightly-less-than-conventional way. Yep, Lucy is going to take the plunge with a total stranger...or is she?
I enjoyed this super-fast read. Trust is a very good introduction to the Blind Vows serial, and it definitely has me salivating for more. I'll admit that I found the writing a little stilted at times, and that it took me a little time to get immersed in the story, but once I got into, I was very into it. In fact, while Trust didn't knock my socks off completely, it certainly had them drooping at my ankles, because there were some great elements to this story.
Lucy and Heath had excellent chemistry -- it was easy to fall into the idea of them being together, which made this experiment all the more bewitching... Who would be waiting at the end of the aisle for Lucy? The brothers make an intriguing (and quite hot) sounding group, all of whom I wouldn't be adverse to reading more about.
And the idea itself? Well, the idea is a solid one, with a boatload of potential. We're left with questions and no resolution, and I can't wait for the next book to see if it reaches said potential. After this fun but frustrating cliffhanger, I sure hope it does! ~ Beth, 3.5 stars
Hook line and sinker...this story had me going from the start all the way through till the last page.
The witty banter, the characters' mannerisms and the humor within the dialogue was all amazing.
Sometimes we find ourselves stepping outside of the box and doing something we never thought we would. It's not a bad thing to try new things...right?!? Well when an opportunity presents itself, why not reel in the catch.
Lucy has had just about enough, being single is no longer and option. She wants her happily ever after, even if her mind and heart are fighting what's right in front of her.
Taking a chance, she trusts that everything happens for a reason. But what will she do when she comes face to face with the one person that has hurt and destroyed her in the past. Can she trust that fate has taken its course, or will she give up once and for all?
ABSOFRIGGENLUTELY LOVED LUCY AND HEATHCLIFF
I was truly lucky and received an ARC for an honest review!!
Holy hotness!! It's easier to pretend to hate someone than to admit there's something there, or so Lucy thought..... Heathcliff F#¢¡ng Kerrigan made a mistake ten years ago and has been trying to fix that mistake with no luck, so what's left to do but move on???
There is an undeniable chemistry there but way too much history to move forward. Lucy decides that she's tired of waiting to find "the one" so she puts her fate in the hands of professionals to find her the perfect husband. I couldn't put this book down and was seriously having a withdrawal when I couldn't turn to anymore pages!!! Can't wait to see what happens next!!! JM Witt makes you laugh,cry, and curse your kindle!! Makes me want to find my own Heathbar!!
I was given the honor of beta reading this OUTSTANDING book and I can't say enough about it!!!! This serial is going to be one of the best I have ever read, I can already tell!!!
Lucy is tired of dating and can't seem to find a guy that makes her "wet". Well, there is one guy, but he isn't someone she wants to talk about..he ruined that 10 years So when she signs up for this new dating program where they will match you with the perfect guy and then marry you, Lucy thinks, why not!
Heath likes Lucy but he knows that he messed up 10 years ago and she won't forgive him. After a "hot tryst" between the two of them, Heath is sure that he has Lucy where he wants her..NOT!
This book was not only HAWT but had some hilarious scenes in it that had me rolling with laughter!! I can't wait to see what happens next!
Can two people be destined for each other despite their constant battle? Can the love of your life be the one person you hate above everyone else? Is it possible to mend the mistakes of the past?
Lucy and Heath have known each other forever… yet their relationship has been anything but pleasant. When Lucy finds herself infatuated with Will, Heath’s twin, a case of mistaken identity triggers events that will follow them for years. The drift between them seems too far to overcome, and while Lucy fights tooth and nail to keep it that way, Heath is determined to close it.
Failed date after failed date causes Lucy to question the way her life is going. Tired of being alone, she enters into an experiment guaranteed to find her the other half of her soul. Excitement and apprehension settle unto her, but she’s sure this will finally change her life for the better.
Quirky humor, sexual tension galore, and hilarious banter kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. The characters both drove me up the wall at the same time they caused me to swoon. Heath F#@$ing Kerrigan is one heck of a man. ***I’ve already called DIBS!*** His arrogance, yet sweet demeanor, when dealing with Lucy is sure to cause a whole lot of fanning to take place while reading.
I can’t wait to see where Heath and Lucy take us and what’s in store for the rest of the cast.
I don't know why but, I loved Heath from the beginning for some reason. Wish I knew
What makes him to loveable. If I was Lucy, I probably wouldn't trust him either. Now that I have read book 1, I can't wait for the rest of the series.
5+++ STAR REVIEW
Trust is the most important thing in any relationship.
When it comes to the Kerrigan brothers, especially Will and Heath, Lucy has a hard time trusting them. Ever since that summer eleven years ago, when Lucy thought she was kissing her crush Will and in fact she was kissing his twin brother Heath, Lucy has vowed to stay away from them. She had been doing a good job considering they live in the same city and their families are close.
All seems to be going well until Heath makes it a point to become a constant in Lucy’s life again. These two have their back and forth and fight like brother and sister, but you can tell that there is something more there. There are a few times when we are teased with Lucy and Heath finally giving in to their desires for one another, but they are only to be left hanging whether it be because of drunkenness or an intruding brother.
Lucy thinks that there might be a chance with Heath, maybe she’s been wrong about him. She decides to just give in and go for it. That is until he utters those words that no girl ever wants to hear, “you’re like a sister to me.”
Those words were the nail in the coffin that would be Heath and Lucy’s
relationship. Lucy decided that she is no longer going to bark up the Kerrigan tree. She enrolls in an experiment that finds your perfect match after a series of surveys and interviews. Once your match is found, you are set to marry them. Lucy figures she isn’t getting any younger and decides to take the plunge. But will she like who she meets at the altar?
For me this book had a great flow and the characters were real. Whenever the main characters have a history, that always adds so much more to the story for me. I laughed out loud at times and found myself adjusting my AC because it was getting hot up in here.
By now, you probably all know that I simply adore JM Witt and of course when I got the chance to read Blind Vows, I jumped for it. And I can definitely say that I wasn't disappointed :) It is definitely different by anything I have read by JM but it is still intriguing and entertaining. The characters are so much fun. I loved getting to know them and being introduced to their problems and feelings. The idea of the story is also quite interesting and I can honestly say that I haven't read anything similar.
Lucy and Heath are such fun characters. I loved getting to know them and their sexual attraction and verbal sparring is just hilarious. Every single time they touch the chemistry between them is simply off the charts. But I rather enjoyed the way Lucy fights it at every corner. Even though she's probably been in love with Heath since she was a teenager, she heatedly refuses to recognize it and thinks of him as the devil. And let me tell you, that resultd is some rather fun situations. That's also the reason she decides to give the marriage experiment a go. And does that bring even more hilatious moments :D I am going to stop here and let you read the story for yourself because I can guarantee that you will enjoy it :)
So in a few words, I can say that I quite enjoyed this first part of the Blind Vows series :) I loved Lucy and Heath is simply pantie melting delicious. So yes, he definitely deserves your time. I would say that this story was the perfect read for a lazy and relaxing night at home. The only negative thing is that I have to wait until the next part comes out to find out what will happen next :D
Hilariously HOT and oh so Heath!
Heath Kerrigan and Lucy have had more than their fill of one another. She's the girl whose feathers he loves to ruffle and he's the bane of her existence. Two people who can't be in the same room let alone hold a conversation where insults aren't being flung. One night of passion causes their world's to come crashing in to one another again. But, Lucy vowed years ago that she was done with the likes of anyone with the last name Kerrigan. So, when a marriage experiment falls in her lap she has to trust that she's made the right decision....anything to get away from the one man who broke her heart.
This is one of those books that is laugh out loud funny. The kind of book where I'm pretty sure my best friend hates me because I HAD to send quotes almost every page to share how hilarious this book is. This is the kind of book you read when you're in a slump and you need something hot, heavy, and Heath to get you back on track. If you're a fan of RomComs or thought the Tangled series was hilarious this is the book for you.
Some advice: remember how short this book is. I started off thinking the plot could have been slower but after getting in to a nice rhythm I realized it was perfectly executed.
I use to NEVER read novellas or serials unless they were tied to a huge series that I was in love with. But, the novella's and serials of late are making me change my tune, case in point Trust: Blind Vows by J.M. Witt.
This is an amazing beginning to this novella series, not once did I feel like the information was rushed or missing big chunks to keep within a word count.
This series is about a woman who signs up to participate in a program wherein she is matched with her "perfect husband" and before ever meeting the couple who has been matched agrees to marry and they literally meet each other at the alter. ITS AWESOME, no its not traditional, its kind of out there but in a hysterical, fun, witty way that will have you laughing and fist pumping Lucy who is an amazing character.
Don't pass this one up, get it now, stop what you are doing and read it immediately, you will not be disappointed.
#WannaTasteMyHeathBar
Lucy has a lifelong connection with Heath. They've had their ups and downs (mostly downs), but she can't deny her attraction to him. She grew up around him and his brothers, but one day he does the unthinkable. She throws caution to the wind and takes part in a new dating experiment... except it involved someone else picking out her date... who she'll marry, sight unseen.
Heath was.... ok, seriously. JM Witt has a knack for creating these leading men that you can't help but drool over. I mean... come on!! It almost isn't fair to men in real life, lol. Him and Lucy have this bond, yet they they keep denying it. When they get together, it's just hotness on a whole new level.
What happens when Lucy decides to take part in this new social experiment? Will Heath fight to be in Lucy's life or will she end up marrying a complete stranger?
this book hooked me from the start. I could not put it down. I will definitely be reading more books by J.M. Witt!!
Lucy is done with the dating scene all her past dates have been major let downs after seeing an ad about a project to find your match she throws caution to the wind and signs up. there is no guarantee they will find her complete match but she had hope.
Heathcliff has been in love with Lucy for as long as he can tell but a prank pulled 10 years prior had her running from him. she wanted his twin Will and in turn she got Heath but didn't know it was him. she swore she would never make that mistake again.
Lucy gets a call one day saying they found her match and 3 weeks later she is to be married to this man she has no idea who he is.
Wil lthe man she marries be the one for her own will it be a complete waste of time?
Oh my goodness!! I absolutely LOVED this book! Yes, it is short but it is so absolutely worth it! Lucy and Heath grew up together since their families were good friends. She had a crush on his brother Will and HATED Heath. Can love grow from hate? If it can happen for anyone, it would happen for them. Or will it?
I loved the storyline in this one. It is very original... at least I haven't read any other books like it. As with all of the author's books I have read so far, there are plenty of twists and turns and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait to read the next book in this serial!
I really enjoyed this fast read by J.M. Witt. I got a kick out of the story line. Lucy signs up for a "marriage" service to find a husband. She wouldn't know who the husband is until the day she gets married if they find a sutiable match for her. I got a kick out of who the 'perfect' match was for Lucy. I can't wait for book 2 to come out to see if this perfect match will work. Sometimes when you think someone isn't for you they might actually be. What a great read and start to a series I really can't wait to see how the rest of it gets played out.
Absolutely loved this Trust, Blind Vows BK1 by Author JM Witt!
Lucy and Heathcliff (Heath) have had a long time "Friendship". But their friendship has been filled with angst, love, hatred and undeniable sexual chemistry. Lucy is afraid to show Heath her true feelings because he had hurt her when they were younger and she just can't forget that. However she is tired of being single and wants to find her happily every after. So she decides to do what some would say is the unthinkable. Will Lucy get her HEA?
I can't wait for the next book in this series I just need more of Heath***sigh***
I have to admit I just swallowed this story. I'm a fool for the I hate you but I love you! And it has just the right amount of squirm in your seat hotness. I wanted more!! I was so focused on it that couldn't stand people around me trying to talk to me and at some point i see I'm on 87% and I'm like WHAT, NOOoooo!!
It has the right amount of saz just like each of the characters, and not just the main ones, so I can only imagine what comes next. Plus it's a cool idea to put them in that situation, makes you think if you would go through it yourself.
Trust is the first part of a serial and the first book I have read from this author. This was a great quick read.
I loved the love/hate relationship between Lucy and Heath. This seemed to be a theme for most of their lives and had me wondering if they would ever work things out. I really liked Lucy, she seemed like someone I could be friends with. Heath was a little too cocky. He had my mouth gaping in awe of the things he said.
This was a great start to the serial and luckily the next part is out so I didn't have to wait to read on.
Well this woman sure knows how to bring out the emotions in a story especially for Lucy and Heathcliff. For Lucy, she says she hates him but deep down she really doesn't and for Heath, he has loved her since he was 18. Will these two ever be together? Or will circumstances bring them together? In order to find out you will need to buy the book. But from my point of view it is well worth the money...
