The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.

I liked this box set but some of the stories where really boring. It was the same old love story, and same old romance which gets boring really quickly.

A free box set on ibooks. This is a compilation of urban fantasy/paranormal romance. Some hits and misses. I didn't read them all. I looked on here for blurbs and some sound ridiculous so I didn't bother.

There are some books that were 5 stars and others like Chrissy Pebbles that were two stars at best.
If you like feeling like you are reading really bad fanfics of Twilight you will probably like most of the books.
However, the ones that I loved were different like Vampire in Denial by Dale Mayer. Those kinds of books had me looking at the chapter and going “Wait when did we get to chapter 20?” I never wanted them to end.
If you love paranormal then this is a great sampler for you to discover the authors you like. And it’s free on Kindle, so you cannot lose.

I downloaded this thinking it would be a bunch of cute fantasy stories but I was honestly bored out of my mind.
For some reason my kindle paperwhite only displayed the contents of the first book so it was annoying to have to manually check where the next book started.
I personally was not impressed!

The Enchanted was Amazing! (the first of the 11 books) Nail biting suspenseful thriller with humor, magic, and romance. Couldn't stop reading. When it was over, I immediately started the second book in the series.

1. Eternal Vows by Chrissy Peebles ***3 Stars (PR)
Sarah finds herself in a different world, literally when she is searching for her missing sister. She runs into an incredibly handsome and charming king that seems like he is a jerk but they have some steamy chemistry. I was really enjoying this and then Sarah inexplicable became too stupid to live...but thankfully the book ended with a cliffhanger at that point.
2. Crush by Chrissy Peebles *1 Star (PR)
Taylor moves to California and runs into the supernatural. Like literally, everywhere. Unbelievable situations, unreasonable reactions...This just didn't have a good story, or good characters, or good dialogue.
3. Seventh Mark by W.J. May ***3 Stars (PR)
So this wasn't great, Rouge befriends Grace and Michael and it quickly becomes blatantly clear that strange things are going on. You get little tidbits but no real information. This was a quick read and didn't really have a cliff hanger so much as this is literally the first part of the story. I think I may continue this series.

Rae goes to some crazy boarding school where you get tattoos and powers from them. There are people that hate her because of things that her father did. It was an ok idea for a story but I just hated the characters and everything they did. They all seemed to have odd priorities and morals. And a lot of the dialogue was just awkward.
5. Captured by Erica Stevens ***3 Stars (PR)
I have some mixed feelings here...I read this book very quickly because I was really into it and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I liked that it was written from both POV's, I thought it added to the tension between Braith and Aria. I thought 99% of it was awesome and pretty original considering the mass amount of vampire stories I read. But the end kinda threw me for a loop...I felt that their actual feelings took some time to develop and though they were wary of one another there was a certain amount of trust. But when they finally accept their feelings and supposedly become closer than ever their feelings are swayed drastically at the drop of a hat and I guess I just didn't buy it.
6. Decieved by L.A. Starkey **2 Stars
a great idea but things just took forever to develop...to the point not much really happened in this installment. It also seemed like everyone was a main character...Sam, Marcus, Nick, their uncles, Zeus, Prometheus, Ken, Julie. So much going on that I couldn't really get into any of it.
7. Blur by Kristen Middleton **2 Stars (PR)
Ok this was like a cross between twilight and the lost boys....which in theory sounds pretty good, but this was just so rushed. Characters were hardly developed, there was so much insta-love my head was spinning and a lot of the dialogue was pretty juvenile considering all of the adult situations.
8. Enchanted Secrets by Kristen Middleton *1 Star (PR)
Fairly fascinating plot but choppy writing, rushed scenes, and extremely uninteresting characters.
9. Vampire in Denial by Dale Mayer ***3 Stars (PR)
I liked Tessa's character overall, as a teenager who is kind of an outcast (especially in her own mind) she is pretty relatable. My biggest issue was with the second half of the book. I thought that things moved a little too quickly and it was kind of hard to follow where everyone was, who was with who. And I wish there was a more discernible bad guy. But I did enjoy it and will probably read the next in the series.
10. Tuesday's Child by Dale Mayer ***3 Stars (PR)
Samantha is a psychic has visions of murders...but she is inside the body and mind of those being murdered...She wakes up with physical injuries that are similar to the victims. Brandt is tracking a serial killer and isn't opposed to unconventional ways of getting information, but Sam's abilities are disturbing even to him. As they get closer to finding the killer he also starts to figure out how the police are getting their evidence which puts Sam in danger. I liked the story, I liked the characters, the writing style was ok....but it just kinda dragged in the middle.

I quit this a few chapters in. Just a little too much forced quirkiness.

I didn't finish this one but I gave it one star because I did enjoy the very beginning right as the outbreak was happening. But then it lost me.

By the 3rd chapter every character who had been introduced was a complete stereotype and had no real personality to make them stand out. I don't even want to bother with this one.

Fantastic mix series!!!
I was fascinated, amazed, intreged, and hooked by every single book. I want to read every single series to every book in the collection! I couldn't put it down. I have lost so much sleep because I was so excited about every single story.

Young teenage romance stories
Each story has a paranormal aspect; vampires, zombies, psychics, witches etc but pretty much all of them are primarily teenage romances.
This is a good collection for young readers but a couple of the stories are entertaining for adults too.
Most these books have minor spelling / editing errors but not terrible.

This was a free collection of paranormal books, and yes, you get what you pay for. Also, granted, the description does warn "Some questions won't be answered without purchasing the next book." Seriously, though? That's not an excuse. You can have a cliffhanger ending that makes readers want to buy the next book yet still have a complete story. Out of the eleven stories here, exactly one author made me want to read more: Dale Mayer, who had two stories in this collection--one about a vampire, the other about a psychic. Unsurprisingly, both of those were complete stories, not just the first dozen or so chapters of a book.
Maybe that's a good marketing ploy--all I can say is that it didn't work on me. Maybe that's because the books were bad to begin with: thin plots, unbelievable characters, poor editing.... I suppose if somebody tore, say, a Jim Butcher paperback in half and handed it to me, I'd be compelled to buy the second half, but even then I'd be pretty darn annoyed.

When Taylor sparks moves with her family to California her meeting with the locals doesn't go as expected. Her new crush Jesse is hiding something from her.
Really? One stupid mistake after another for the characters. tThe characters don't have much of an attention span, they jump from one thing to another. Taylor just acts dumb and has no common sense whatsoever. The characters were flat, there was no substance to them at all. I thought the writing was sloppy and the story did not have as much action as I thought it would.

A solid 4 stars
I love reading collections like this. I get to try out random authors and discover some true gems. This collection was no different. Some really strong stories and some not so good ones. I have reviewed each story within my comments and individually. Overall, this collection is definitely worth a read.

I got this because I thought it was a complete series. I actually really liked the first story - "Eternal Vows" -- until I read the dreaded words..,to be continued! Ugh. Hate that! Almost every book in this set starts a separate series? Ain't nobody got time for that.
