Unfortunately, this story was not for me. It was almost as if we were dropped off in the middle of something & even at the close of the story it felt incomplete. To credit the author’s disclaimer, there is “VERY little plot” (close to none) & she did put her work out there. It just wasn’t fun like I anticipated. Even with the spice! 🫠 The art of Odessa, the trope list & one-liners all seemed so promising. But— 🙂‍↔️

The bottom line that survivors are not broken is an important message, of course. The execution of this story was just not fulfilling for me. At all.

I randomly found this book on Threads and the art + the tropes instantly made want to read it! Tied in Pink is a Omegaverse contemporary romance ft. a bratty rich heiress and her grumpy Alpha bodyguard.

It's Mimi Simone's first book I believe so I'm definitely keeping that in mind! The story was very cute and I loved Odessa and Asher together and individually. As soon as you start reading the book, you know they're HOT AND HOT FOR EACH OTHER TOO lmao. I love hot person x hot person ships, I'm sorry, and Odessa and Asher are *chef kiss* together - the vibes, the aesthetic, oooof.

She wears pink, he wears black. She is so chaotic and he's calm and collected. She wants him and he wants her bad too, but he's her bodyguard, so it's kinda tricky. Overall, the dynamic between them was nice. It's definitely a more smut, less of a plot type of book. Throughout the story, you pretty much just follow these two along while they come to terms with their desire to each other and how they develop it. As for a problem or big issue happening around them as a plot, there's no much plot and it's more about their relationship to be honest. If you love the sound of that, definitely give it a go!

I feel like my young Wattpad-loving heart has finally been fulfilled. Although this is way better than Wattpad! I knew then I wanted heats, knots, and breeding. To see the FMC get put in a mattress. Well, in this case, her nest. I got all that in this.😩😮‍💨

I’m with Odessa and I wholeheartedly understood why she wanted that man. All big, bad and broody goodness. Possessive and protective. He also can sweet and dirty talk???? She was gone before she even knew it.

Asher thought he was safe from Odessa, but little did he knew that once she had her eye on something, she always gets what she wants. He didn’t stand a chance from that first moment he saw her.

I’m craving more, and I can’t wait to what Mimi will come up with next. There’s so much I want to express, but I can’t find the right words to describe how incredible this book was. It’s a must-read! 10/10

THIS WAS SUCH A FUN SPICY READ !! I absolutely loved Odessa and Asher so fricking much.

I absolutely adore omegaverse stories so this was right up my alley and I absolutely devoured this in one sitting !

Even if there was little plot, the sex scenes were so well written and had me yearning for a man like Asher. I high recommend it for anyone who enjoys:

I had the pleasure of alpha reading this and oh my GOD, this is truly an amazing book, from start to finish. The spice, the plot, the sweet moments? 🥹 Mimi did a beautiful job with how the MFC, Odessa, had PTSD and how she handled it, and the way Asher (the MMC and Dessa's bodyguard) had his moments of anxiety and did meticulous background checks even if his actions werent fully necessary at times was so 🥹😭

That man cares for Dessa and when I tell yall I cried? I CRIED. The character arcs, the care, the aftercare, the spice, the love, Daddy Ashbourne 😮‍💨🫦🫦 TIP is by far in my top 5 books for 2026 and I fully believe everyone should read this!

This was the perfect filthy little OV erotica. The dirty talk was absolute perfection and Asher is so dang swoon worthy I’m putting him on the book boyfriend second team! Dessa was all omega instinct and spoiled princess energy and I loved her!! This is erotica in the true sense with soft squishy moments that made me melt.

There are so issues with repetitive and circular scenes and at one point I did wish the story went somewhere before the ending but overall it’s exactly what it says it is. Catnip for OV smut lovers (I’m paraphrasing lol)

So I love that true and I love that he’s trying to fight every ounce of his being not to just grab her and pin against the wall, but then when it finally happens y’all, I was literally grabbing at my pearls, giggling and laughing. This Omegaverse novel follows bratty omega, Odessa, and her Alpha bodyguard, Asher. She pushes his limits to be expected but he loves it. His patience and love for Odessa is endearing. I enjoyed how he saw her for everything she was and he encouraged her to be herself in every way. The spice is spicy and would not be for a timid or reserved reader. I felt that the story slowed a bit in the middle and could have been condensed a lot to address the originating event much sooner.

This was a fun and filthy male female omegaverse. Odessa is a over the top girly princess who is determined to get her man at any cost. Asher it's just trying to maintain his professional demeanor but eventually he just gives in and puts a girl through the mattress repeatedly. But there is some plot, a little bit in here and the ending of this book will make you want to throw your tablet up against the wall, because you will feel betrayed by one of the characters and the author yeah how you like them apples.

This was a very cute story. Sit reminded me of The Bodyguard so much but in a dark omega-verse way! We have the strong broody MMC and delicate fluffy and sometimes bratty FMC. Things heat up quickly, but they need to hide their situation until the FMCs very important father gives them the okay. Meanwhile the one man left that did harm to Odessa last year is still out there and it’s not safe.
That twist at the end though… keep your friends close and enemies closer gives a whole new meaning!!

I went into this book not expecting very much but instead it blew me away. It was such a good book so entertaining and a super fast read. I really enjoyed the plot and loved the characters personality and banter. Chapter 9 made me laugh so hard, a similar situation may or may not have happened to me😂😂. I was annoyed by the ending because although its listed as a standalone it ended on a cliffhanger. I need to know what happens and I need more of this delightful couple.
There was about 6 spice scenes encompassing about 35 pages. QOTB: "There were few things I was truly, humbly grateful for in life. But right now? The god-given blessing of not having a gag reflex."

Please make sure to read the disclaimer before diving into this book. After reading that I fully understood what to expect going into it. I will say though I do wish there was more to the story because what we did get made me enjoy the character and wish we had more of them. Also it ended on a major cliffhanger so I was left with so many questions. But again I read the disclaimer so I knew what I was getting myself into and I knew there would not be a party two to this story. I just want more because the characters were interesting so I’m just a girl dreaming lol but I just enjoy what I read. Mostly spice with little plot, what little plot was there was very good though! The author did answer some of my leftover questions though and i appreciated that. If you want to read about an alpha and an omega smashing for 90% of the book go ahead and pick this one up! Sometimes all we need is spice!

Loved to see the teasing between those two! They way they softened between the quiet moments.

The book does end on a cliffhanger. We don't get answers and it is stated as a standalone, but the author says we will see these 2 in a different book.

However I don't feel like this is a story for me. It feels like we have way too many unanswered topics and this annoyed me too much to overlook. The spice to me felt incomplete, it was lacking something.

🎀Odessa🎀 is a bratty rich girl and I love a bratty FMC! She loves all things pink and kink but 🧊Asher🧊 is her no-nonsense, ex-military bodyguard who falls hard.
This forced proximity, forbidden romance is such a traditional grumpy/sunshine book but I had to remove a star only because (without spoilers) there’s questions unanswered and I *personally* don’t like cliffhangers. But other than that…

if you love bratty FMCs and the MMCs who take them you’re going to love this book! It just might leave you in heat 🥵
