He’s had enough…

Stoic ex-Marine, Taylor Armstrong, survived his arrogant father, USMC General Michael Armstrong, and one too many deployments in Afghanistan. Battered and disillusioned with life, he’s built a wall to keep the world at bay. His rule is simple: a man can’t lose a friend he’s never made. It works—until an arrow rips into his chest and changes everything he knew about his father. His mother. Himself….

She’s never given up hope…
Gracie Fox has loved Taylor since the fateful day he was ripped from her life as a four-year old. But he has no memory of her or his mother’s rich Native American heritage. Neither is he aware of the loving family that was forced to give him up. It seems he’ll never know—until an ancient rite of revenge, the blood hunt, collides with his carefully structured life. Gracie seizes the chance. She’ll do anything to help him remember....

Even tie him to her bed.

Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd
tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'

I've been looking out the window ever since . . .

In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing.
In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything
rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl.
And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love
and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.

Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy.
Look out the window and see something!

Taylor
In the Company of Snipers, Book 7
By: Irish Winters
Narrated by: Troy Duran

Each book in this series by Irish Winters has gripped me, but there is something about Taylor that has left an imprint on my heart. Taylor is an ex-marine and has been through so much. With an abusive father, he has hidden his heart and has an emotional wall built around him no one can penetrate. Until he meets Gracie. Gracie has known Taylor forever and has had connection with Taylor he never knew existed. Now finding out the truth of his past and melding it with his present and future, Taylor's mission is clear. Winters has a winner with Taylor. So many emotions for this stoic man, and we get to experience them all. Indian heritage stories always intrigue me and the way Taylor's legacy is ingrained in his being is well told, it is realistic and emotional. Gracie, Peter and Luke all add so much to the story, and we also get visits from our favorite snipers like Alex and Mark. I enjoyed Taylor's story immensely and can't wait to see what Winters has in store for us next.

Troy Duran truly connects with these characters in this series. Each one is so different, and he finds their personality and gives them the voices with the nuances and inflections that are original to themselves. I love that each voice for the Snipers is consist from book to book and he adds just the right amount of emotion and suspense. This is a fantastic narration and is really entertaining.

This is the 7th book in the series.

The heroine has always loved our hero, even though she hasn’t seen him since he was a small child. They had a connection then and knows she must keep him safe now. He was taken away from her and their families, but he doesn’t remember it or her.

Our hero hasn’t had the best of the upbringing. He hates his father, his step mother he puts up with, but his mother is dead and he misses her. Because of the way his father’s treated him, he puts up a huge wall around himself emotionally. If he doesn’t let anyone inside, then he can’t be hurt…or can he? He’s done being in the military and his last tour had finished him and the military.

The plot is a good one showing how two different cultures. Native American and American, can be brought together and taken apart. Also, I like how the author portrays the father/son relationship as I could really identify with it from my experiences as father/daughter. When the hero is taken, to protect him, the hero’s buddies go looking for him and help him, along with helping his family, and end up finding someone who needs to be brought down.

This is the 7th from this series, the whole series keeps you guessing on what the next book brings.

Where to start with Taylor! This story began with such a huge impact and never let up right until the end. My heart went out to Taylor and I just wanted to reach in and take him into my arms and cradle him like a baby. Not only for what he was going through as an adult but what he went through all through his life at the hands of his father. I also wanted to hug Peter, Gracie and Luke and shake them at the same time and tell them that I understood but that there was a better way. Irish Winters certainly knows how to leave you emotionally drained but completely satisfied at the same time. This was another marvelous book in this amazing series.

This is the seventh book in the amazing Series In The Company of Snipers, a Romantic Suspense. Taylor and Gracie story is emotional, intriguing, suspenseful, and captivating. This is another great addition to the Series. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. The back and forth, past to present, is well done and easy to follow. I loved to see again some characters from the previous books. Troy Duran did an amazing job with the narration, as always! I love this Series, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

An enjoyable romantic suspense novel from Irish Winters, Taylor is a good addition to the series. Unlike some romantic suspenses, where the hero and heroine have sex at completely inappropriate times (because they're running from the bad guys), this book is much more realistic and the sex is not foremost in the book. Given how much I like a bit more realism in my books, I quite enjoyed this one.

Gracie and Taylor's story

Irish Winters has a way of drawing you in and holding you. Her characters are so vivid you'll have no problem recognizing them the next time you meet.
Often in books I visit countries and cities that I would love to visit. This time I was drawn into a house with a slide and a library that brought laughter and tears. Healing and understanding.

Just imagine you survive your tour of duty only to be bought down my an arrow. A primitve.weapon for the likes of your tribe unbeknownst to you.

Taylor father was a hard ass and took him away from the only family he knew and now he is stuck like glue.

***ARC provided in exchange for honest review***

What a wonderful tale and I'm looking forward to diving into more writings by this fantastic author. Taylor is book 7 in a series but can be read as a standalone. Taylor had a rough beginning growing up with a father who was a General and believed in military training in and out of the war. Gracie has loved Taylor from the time that they were toddlers and didn't know what love actually was,she has watched out for him along with her mother as a promise to his mother. Taylor had demons from growing up with the General and Gracie had information that she was holding back from him hoping that he would remember her. When these two finally start reconnecting is intense and moving because we see Taylor realizing that not everything he learned about his family is quite true. He meets members of his family that he didn't even know about. What I loved most about this book besides the characters, and intriguing storyline is the true heart of the matter. That even though their soldiers and have fought to protect everyone, that they also have a story of hope and perseverance that will touch your soul.

I love this series, and with Taylor, Ms. Winter has another winner! There are plenty of secrets surrounding Taylor, lots of emotional moments and great action scenes. It has an interesting story line that kept me glued to my Kindle for hours. Each of the stories are unique and do not have to be read in order. Although I'm sure you'll love the writing so much you will want to read them all! I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series!

I loved this book as I did all her others........but ONE thing stuck in my head when I finished. She KILLED off Alex!!!!!! I swear it's like my mind erased the whole story I read and I can only focus on losing Alex. Sorry. I know this isn't a review but I needed to get that out.
