Good communication in a relationship is similar to a solid foundation in a house. If a house is built with a strong foundation, it will withstand the stress caused by such natural disasters as hurricanes or tornadoes. Even if the rest of the house is damaged or destroyed, if the foundation is solid the house can be rebuilt ... Those of you who feel that the foundation of your relationship is shaky at best, or who have existed together for a long period of time without this kind of communication, may find themselves concerned about the future of your relationship. This is the ULTIMATE TRUTH.

Reading Shared Intimacies by Lonnie Barbach and Linda Levine Madori where women share their sexual experiences is enlightening; you get to know stuff about women you didn't imagine, stuff that opens your mind to understanding women's sexuality better. The authors are practical, logical, and educating; never pontificating, especially in relationships.

The book touches on different issues, from qualities of good sex to what to do when you run into challenges that couples/partners face in relationships to what I call 'The Tao of Pregnant Sex' and being sexual as a parent to bringing up children to be responsible sexual beings.

It is a great book, and every woman, or any woman who wants to have a happier relationship, should read this book.

I liked how women have shared their personal experiences through which we are able to dive in to the psychology of women that is not discussed generally.
