I have been waiting for Matlock’s story, and Ann Silver absolutely delivered!
This is book 10 in the Silver Shadows MC series by Ann Silver. As per usual with this series, I went into this blind. I have a general idea of who the characters are, but every book always brings so much more to the table. Matlock is a very loyal brother to his club. He has a very tough exterior. He seems to have it all together, but as Matlock starts his journey to self-discovery, you will realize just how very emotional and vulnerable this man is to the world around him.
This is an MM Romance, so Matlock’s struggles with being attracted to men are handled honestly and with great compassion. For so long, he had hidden the true Matlock from the world. Shame, fear of rejection, trying to live up to the way he thought others wanted him to be – all of these things had left him with deep emotional scars. But watching him slowly come to terms with himself and find the courage to finally be true to himself was amazing and, at times, heartbreaking.
This is more than just a book of MM romance. It is a story of self-acceptance. Of healing. Of learning that you deserve to be loved exactly as you are. And Matlock’s fear is palpable. His internal struggle real. And therefore every step forward he takes feels earned.
The romance between the two MC members is sweet, but it is Matlock’s journey of self-discovery that will keep you up at night reading for more. There were many times when I laughed out loud, cried, and even got frustrated with Matlock, but in the end, I was reading to find out more about him and how he found himself and accepted who he was.
I also loved how the Silver Shadows brothers are once again treated like family, and it was amazing to read about the club rallying around one of their own. The brotherhood, loyalty, and heart that Ann Silver brings to every book are evident in this one, and paired with Matlock’s emotional journey, make for a very memorable read.
And to end, I just want to say, as with all of Ann Silver’s books in the Silver Shadows MC series, Matlock is a must-read for all fans of the series. And for those who are new to MM romance and looking for an honest and passionate story about flawed but truly authentic characters, found family, and, most importantly, a hero who ultimately learns to be who he truly is, then Matlock is a book you cannot afford to miss.

I chose Matlock at the beginning of this series , covered him in my post it notes and declared him mine. I mean a lawyer, in a suit and a biker ? Pffft who wouldn’t want that delicious combo ?
Turns out I could have him as a bestie, his heart already belongs to Simon, remember him? Hairdresser with his sister Sadie? Right , soooo Anthony Matlock Gallagher has been keeping a biiiig secret from everyone. I get it , the abuse and aggression gay men and women had to go through in 80’s and 90’s was heartbreaking, friends who were simply enjoying life and dating just like everyone else were doing were treated appallingly. I have heard that bikers were amongst the biggest homophobics at that time buuuut im also disappointed that he didn’t trust King at least. He saw first hand how the club was with Sypher and Dante so he knew they would be cool .
My heart broke for Simon not only for the years he spent as Tony’s dirty little secret but for the people he’s known he’s whole life doubting him and he’s reason for killing Sadie’s boyfriend.
I understand why Sadie felt a need to cover up her abuse at the hands of Alan, it’s fear shame and self protection as well as those around her knowing the club and her brother would bury him, she feared they would go to prison for her…. Ironic ( once you read this you’ll get it) .

Ann is are simply Amazing!!! Matlock is an emotionally charged book that I couldn't put down.
Matlock (Tony) is the clubs lawyer and for any of you who have read the Silver Shadow Series he was a hard man to get a read on. Then there is Sweet sweet Simon the towns hair dresser and the biggest flirt out there.
Simon and Tony have had a thing going on for a long while and Simon wants more but Tony is stuck in his old ways and the fear that comes along with being a gay man who has never left the closet only in an environment where he felt safe to do so.
Simon has to call upon Tony to be his Lawyer and keep him free from a prison cell but Tony's past walks in and things take a turn no one saw coming. Tony will do anything he can to keep the one man he loves more then anything out of prison. This book has ups and downs and twist and turns It is so worth the read so come along foe the ride. You may need a tissue or 2 because this book definitely get your in the feels.
If you have not had a chance to read Ann Silver's Silver Shadows Series it is highly recommended you will not be disappointed. If I could give this book a higher rating I definitely would. Thank you for another amazing read.

Well, this book was a bit different than the usual clubhouse drama. We finally get a look into Matlock’s life. He has always been behind the scenes quietly waiting for his story to be told. He was portrayed as very stoic guy but there was a reason for it. Matlock/Tony was hiding himself from well, everyone. There was a secret that he couldn’t or wouldn’t share.
I loved Simon. Six years of the hot/cold treatment was just plain wrong, imo. He was so sweet,loving,caring and just wanted to be loved back. It took Goliath of all people to get Matlock to remove his head from his ass.
Although, Matlock wasn’t my favorite in the series it was still a very interesting story. Ann’s writing and attention to detail of the legal process was on point but don’t take my word for it….go grab the book and see for yourself.

A Powerful Story and definitely a must read
Wow.. This was a ride of emotions. It's a MM biker romance.
It's also a story of self-acceptance, healing and learning you deserve to be happy and loved as you are. Matlock has spent his life hiding his sexuality and Simon is out and proud. Having been in a relationship for Six years with Matlock behind closed doors Simon wants to be out in the open with their relationship and Tony wants to keep it in the dark afraid of what the club and everyone else will think. When Simon takes the place of his sister in order to protect her from what she did in self defense Tony is the one he calls to defend him.
I couldn't put this down as soon as I opened the book from the first page I was hooked! I HIGHLY recommend reading this! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Matlock is book 10 in the Silver Shadows MC series and is Matlock's journey. Matlock/Tony grated on my nerves in a big way! Biker and lawyer apparently meant he had to be an *^*! Simon, sweet, sweet Simon deserves better than the *^&%*$$#&*^^ that is Matlock.

Great read! We finally get Matlock's story, he is the Silver Shadows lawyer, carrying a big secret from the club. He's kept to the club in Denver only letting himself lose as he doesn't want the world to know he's way. With the pressures of being gay growing up he kept himself locked away. For 6 years he's met with Simon, you know the fun guy and hairdresser everyone knows hes a flirt, at the club in Denver. Simon is taking the fall for his sister Sadie when her abusive boyfriend is murdered. He doesn't even get her full story or reach out to the club before confessing to the police. Matlock/Tony is fighting to keep his secret and Simon out of jail. 10/10 recommend this one. Just hold tight to your Kindle cuz you are so gonna want to throw it when Matlock pisses you off!

Matlock is book 10 in the Silver Shadows, and what a great read. Simon and Matlock carry a big secret. Matlock has been hiding his true self for years due to the pressures of being gay. We met Simon in previous books, and so we know his sister is not in a good relationship. When something tragic happens, Simon takes the fall for his sister. Without getting what happened from Sadie, things explode. Matlock becomes his lawyer and fights to save the man he loves. We see Matlock’s inner struggle and how the situation is affecting him. As with any book from Ann, there is a couple of surprises. I loved Gunner’s stunt in this book to help his brother get his HEA of sorts. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

What can I say about this book that will make you love it as much as I did. I am not one for MM stories but this one held my interest all the way through the book.
Matlock, always believed that he had to hide who he was. Inside it was really hurting him to do this but he saw no way out of it. That is until he met Simon. The one man that made him want more. With the help of the club, Matlock was able to help Simon in this story.
Simon, would rather give up his own freedom then to have someone that he loved hurt. With a kind, gentle soul, he wore Matlock down. These two cared for each other the fist time that they met.
5 stars for this book. I can't wait to see more from the Silver Shadows MC, maybe Keys will be the next installment.

MATLOCK! Man I wanted to punch him in the face and kiss him at the same time. This man had so much to get over and get through his mind to find happiness.
I loved this book. The forbidden elements were flawless. The suspense and found family makes me fall so much more in love with the Silver Shadows. I just adore this whole series.
It brought out all the emotions. There were spicy fun moments, sad, devastating, broken moments.
Simon is the rock to hold the whole thing together. I want him as my ride or die. He protects who he loves even if he loses himself in the process. I adore that man.

What a ride ! Did it have intensity ? Can we say jaw dropping, emotional roller coaster, ? Simon a brother trying to keep his sister safe only to save too late . Can you see what I did there. Gave you some information without giving to much bet you don’t know what’s going to happen? Matlock what a lawyer, alpha male. Matlock had a lot to prove, but he had to prove it to himself. What a great court room view, man did you see the ending coming! Well two dang I just fell in love with Simon he has always been such a hoot , what will happen after court ? What will surprise you most about this story. Loved it !

Another fabulously scintillating read from Ann Silver. I felt teased wondering will he or won’t he, hoping and praying he would, they are so right for each other, so in love but Matlock is scared and nervous of the recriminations. I absolutely loved Matlock and Simon’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Matlock’s performance in a courtroom is masterful, he is a man in control and that only adds to his sex appeal. Just wow!
This book is totally different from the rest! It focuses on Simon and Matlock and not a lot on the side characters.
Doesn't involve the biker war or any war really but still kept me captivated.
I actually couldn't put this doen and finished it in one sitting. Ann Silver is a bloody genius. I had no idea how she was going write this to get a HEA but she bloody managed abd it was pretty epic.
The courtroom drama had me hooked completely and itching fir more storyline likes this now!
I love the internal battle that Matlock had and the way he overcame it? Complete and utter possessive, jelous alpha!
Im looking forward to the next book and hoping abd praying its Sadie's cuz that ine is gonna be a doozy.

Matlock
I normally don’t read MM but I must say this book was a great one. The pace was appropriate. The Characters Matlock (Tony) and Simon were awesome together. When Tony has to defend Simon who’s protecting his sister, Tony has to fight his feelings. I love the back and forth banter and the interaction with the Silver Shadows. Matlock being the Lawyer is smart and savvy and does everything he can to save Simon. Definitely a must read!

When Tony has to defend Simon who’s protecting his sister, Tony has to fight his feelings. I love the back and forth banter and the interaction with the Silver Shadows. Matlock being the Lawyer is smart and savvy and does everything he can to save Simon. Definitely a must read!

This is a MM, age gap, secret love kind of book. Not everyone grew up when and where different relationships were considered ok. That is how Matlock grew up
His lifestyle was something that was accepted and his father was very hateful of him. Then you have the other half that grew up in a different time with afamily who would do anything for each other. You would not want to miss this interesting book. I can't wait for more courtroom drama from Matlock.

This book dragged
The reason for that is it was repetitive over and over. Simon wanted to be out with Matlock, and Matlock wanted to keep their relationship hidden. I understood how he was scare but it was over and over.
Then every time they fought boom they had to have s€x (insert an eye roll).
I loved Beatrice the old lady that was 82. I also look forward to Keys book because who is the Daddy of sachets baby?

Matlock
I knew Simon had his eye on someone. Didn’t know who. I couldn’t figure it out until it happens here. This isn’t a trope I read so it’s hard to review it properly. I love the series. I like how this story unfolded. And Cletus ticked me off just like he did Matlock. Oh and I love love love what Gunner did to get Matlock to finally step up. It’s epic. Need more of this series!

powerful
I don’t seek MM stories, but when they are included in a series I love to read, I give them a chance. This one is a powerful story of how some people still struggle to be who they are out of fear of judgement, which still does exist today. And the next book is promising as well.

What to say about this book?!?! I normally do not read the MM troupe but I made an exception. This is not your typical biker book but you still have the biker vibes going on. Simon and Matlock have one heck of a dynamic and it is so worth the read.

This was such a good story! We finally get to learn about Matlock and who he really is. Simon was such a great character. And I really enjoyed the court room drama! Excited to see what comes next for the series!

Wow this one pulled at so many heartstrings. So many lives on the edge of destruction and heartbreak. But revealing the truth of all that has occurred brings a deep sadness but also love to the people who need it the most.
