Realizing that being able to remain at home and help his father is not really an option, our MC sticks around at his liege lord's place instead both to train and to help those around them. Things go fine at first, but things take a turn for the worse when odd events at a nearby dormant volcano draw the attention of those around. Late game events might be happening a lot earlier than the MC expected. His actions clearly have changed things significantly.
While a fairly typical isekai series, especially in regards to world building, it is set apart by decent characters and a MC who struggles with the challenges on his path. World also feels a bit more complex than is typical for the genre. The story is a bit slow paced with lots of slice-of-life elements, but personally I tend to like such as long as the characters are interesting enough.
There are signs of a harem forming, but considering any romance at this point is rather innocent (which considering the age of the people involved is a good thing) and hands-off, I don't know how it will go. Mind you, while I am not a big fan of harems, I don't mind too much as long as it avoids the harem-conflict and dense protagonist tropes.
All in all, I quiet like this series and this volume is a solid addition to it.
