This was a well-written and engaging story with characters and situations that feel real and relatable in that we all struggle with different backgrounds and understanding of each other. Maya does a great job capturing these challenges and emotions, making it easy to connect with the story. If you enjoy books that blend storytelling with real-life experiences, this is definitely worth the short read.

A wholesome coming of age story with well-written and emotionally deep characters. The main character often handles disappointment and grief but also experiences joy and genuine connection, making this story feel true to life in many ways. I look forward to Maya's next work.

This was such a great book! Definitely had me on my toes throughout the book. Great storytelling as you went through different times of the life of the main character.
