Firstly, thank you to Nicola and Chloe at The Berry Agency for the opportunity to arc read this book.
The twists and turns in this book had me hooked! Reminds me of a Freida McFadden book where you think you may have guessed what’s happening only to be blindsided again 😂 100% recommend this book if you love a psychological thriller!!

I was lucky enough to get this book as an eARC, and although I’m only just getting into this genre, I thought I’d give it a go.

At the beginning, I was like, “Woah, hold up. That marriage was quick!” 😂 Then I thought, she wants something. Of course.

The whole time I was thinking, where the hell is this going? I had no clue. But it completely sucked me in, and I ended up devouring this book!

It’s twisty and keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next right until the very end.

I enjoyed this book so much that I read it in just three days. As a slooooow reader, that’s a big deal! 😆

I’ll definitely be reading more from this new-to-me author!

The House Of Lies is a novel that will keep you reading until the final sentence.
I’m going to be brief in a synopsis update, there’s no spoilers here.
Teen Tillie escapes her rotten father leaving behind a brother and sister.
On the run she meets Sharna, who has secrets of her own, soon they make bad decisions.
Years later, their collided past catches up to them.
Tillie now lives with her foster mother and has friends, all their worlds are about to change forever…….
This book has a great build up to the reveal.
It gives off clever and engaging vibes that make you keep reading as you wonder what is going to happen.
Told from three different points of view, it will keep you on your toes.
An engaging plot, sneaky characters, a smart confession and that shock ending, all the essentials for a compelling narrative.
All round it’s an entertaining read.

The House of Liars follows three protagonists: Caleb, Tillie, and Lauren, each with their own secrets tied to Ghost Gum House. Caleb returns from the city to care for his grandmother, Esme who is considering selling Ghost Gum house, while Tillie’s troubled childhood and time at the house hide a darker past. Lauren, meanwhile, is determined to keep her own secrets buried at any cost. The story alternates between their perspectives, with flashbacks, primarily in Tillie’s chapters, gradually revealing what really happened. I really enjoyed this narrative style, as it kept the story engaging and made me eager to return to certain characters viewpoints. Tillie’s storyline was especially compelling and the one I found myself most invested in. The pacing is fast and consistently engaging, with no dull moments. While I suspected one of the twists early on, there were still several surprises that genuinely caught me off guard, some were truly jaw dropping. Overall, this was an intense, gripping read that kept me hooked from beginning to end.

🫐ARC REVIEW BY THE BERRY AGENCY🫐

When Tillie, a teenage girl, flees from her abusive household, she befriends Sharna, another teenager with secrets of her own. They two quickly become friends, only to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Years later, the truth is still hidden, but these women are about to learn, that not all secrets can stay buried... Or can they?

NICOLA MARSH THE QUEEN YOU ARE! This book had me gripped from the minute I got it, and I could not put it down. I started and finished this book within 24hrs, and I already want more. This book gives us 3 POVs, and 2 timelines, to which we follow these characters through their 'Then' and 'Now' perspectives. The characters were so interesting, the chapters were gripping, the plot was great and the plot twists were jaw dropping! I had an absolute blast reading this book and am honoured to have received an ARC.

First of all, thank you so much Nicola and Chloe at @theberryagency for an ARC copy of The House of Liars

This was my first book from this author and oh my god!! I was HOOKED! It was super fast paced which I love.

I really thought I had it figured out at one point but I was proven wrong! I loved all the twists and turns during the book. I think it’s a great one to read to get yourself out of a reading slump!

I loved the multiple POV’s and the then/now timeline. I really enjoyed being in the past and slowly finding everything out and equally enjoyed the present chapters as well.

I think I’ll have to check out some more of Nicola’s books and I highly recommend reading this one!

Wowee! This book was such a good read.
At 234 pages it is a super quick read as well. And in case you were wondering, the tension is still here.

🗨There is so much to like about it.
💙It has quick chapters, which you read from 3 different characters, which always adds to the story and keeps you guessing.
🗨Characters to like and dislike, and most importantly, the twists!
🗨I didn't pick one of the twists until it revealed itself, and even then it was something I had to reread just to be sure.
🗨And the build up to that ending is very good.

Overall, it was a quick and engaging read that has me wanting to read more from this author.

I was hooked on this one pretty quickly, and the pacing made it such a quick read that I flew through it. Plenty of twists and turns, and surprises just when I thought I knew what was going on!
I struggled a little with the changes between different perspectives and timelines, but that has never really been a style I enjoy, so others would likely not be bothered.
All in all, I would definitely recommend! Fans of the Freida McFadden twists will definitely love this one!

Nicola Marsh- what can I say... she is rapidly climbing the ladder as one of my favourite authors.

To have a US author base a story in Australia which isn't over the top or unbelievable..? ☆chefs kiss☆

Smooth storyline, well developed characters and a twist at the end. A great read which is hard to put down.

😍 the backstory of Sharna and Tillie is heartbreaking and the lengths they had to go to for survival is very tragic. Following along with the past and present was easily done and I really enjoyed the world building and characters.
I absolutely loved this. Definitely a light read, it does cover some heavy content but I feel it's suitable for a variety of ages!

Tillie and Sharna quickly become friends but they have a secret that is dangerous. I was immersed in the suspense of this page turning thriller. I kept guessing only to be proven wrong at the next turn. It's a solid storyline that kept me up until 3 am eagerly reading. The characters are portrayed with depth and the plot is like no other.

The House of Liars by Nicole Marsh kept me hooked from the very first chapter. The story is packed with family secrets and shifting perspectives that had me second-guessing everyone involved.

What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere of suspicion that lingered throughout the novel. Just when I thought I had figured out what was happening, another revelation sent me in a different direction. The pacing was quick, making it an easy book to fly through.

While some of the twists required a little suspension of disbelief, the overall mystery was entertaining enough that I didn’t mind. If you enjoy domestic thrillers filled with deception, secrets, and unreliable characters, this is definitely worth picking up.

A tense, addictive read that kept me turning the pages until the very end.

Thank you to the author and the Berry Agency for allowing me to read an advanced copy.
