مذكرات مديرة ثقافية منهكة

مذكرات هبة الشيخ لا تُقرأ بوصفها سيرة فردية فحسب، بل كوصفة حيّة عن منظومة تراكم الإرهاق، والتي تعيد إنتاجه، ثم تطلب من أصحابها الاستمرار. في هذه المذكرات، تتجاوز هبة الشيخ شكل أو قالب «المذكرات» في الكتابة، على خلاف كتابة البورتريهات التقليدية، لا يعتمد الكتاب على التسلسل الزمني لاستدعاء الماضي، بل يتحرك ما بين مفاهيم ومشاعر وخبرات تتشكل في مسارات موازية للأحداث امتدت على أكثر من عقد من مشوارها المهني. هذا الاختيار كان مقصوداً: لم ترد هبة أن تكتب سيرة تجريبها، بل أرادت أن تبوح بها من موقع زمني مختلف، وأن تعيد التفكير فيها، وأن تعيد وضع ذاتها وهي تنظر الآن، بعد سنوات. يساهم الكتاب في كشف ما يمكن تسميته ببنية العمل الثقافي؛ تسلط الضوء على الفعل العاطفي غير المرئي الذي تحمله الكثير من العاملات والعاملين في الحقل الثقافي، وبشكل خاص النساء.

أخذتنا هبة في تسلسل عاطفي واضح: يبدأ بالطموح، بالفضول، والفرص والصدف التي فتحت لها أبواب العمل في الإدارة الثقافية والفنون الجميلة وفن الشارع. ثم دخلت عالماً حققت فيه، ثم عبرت تناقضات بين طموحها وإحباطاتها، وإصرارها العنيد على الاستمرار في عمل تؤمن به بصدق، رغم العوائق البنيوية والاقتصادية والسياسية التي واجهتها.

Heba elCheikh is an outdoor art producer, cultural manager, Thai masseuse and travel and life experience writer.

She studied French, translation, and journalism and in 2012 she had her Masters in Arts Management, in focus on community arts and evaluation at Utrecht School of the Arts, the Netherlands. In 2015, she published her thesis: Community Arts Evaluation Practices in Egypt, Lap Lambert Academic Publishing.

Having traveled to Morocco, France, Spain, Kenya, Italy, England, Belgium, Germany, Syria, Indonesia, Thailand and the USA, ElCheikh published her first travel book in 2018, entitled "The Road ends at the Tip of my shoes" in Arabig. Her background in journalism enabled her to write fieldwork-based articles in French and Arabic weeklies and magazines and covers arts and traveling, and tackles local community lifestyle, culture, and legacy.

In 2011, She co-founded Mahatat for contemporary art. Believing in the democratization of the arts, the cultural leader aims at decentralizing the arts making it available to everyone, through arts in public spaces and community arts projects. Her working experiences range from culture management and facilitation, curating and producing art in public spaces, interpreting and journalism (radio and print media) to website editing. In 2009, she co-founded The “Journey cultural Group” in Alexandria, aiming to promote youth creativity and critical thinking through culture and arts.
