Demon Bound is Zara Storm’s return novel to the dark fantasy romance genre. Once again, we see a world full of magic and danger, with relationships tangled in dangerous alliances. From the first pages, the story immerses readers in a dark world of mercurial demons and desperate humans making dangerous deals, and I love how immediately compelling this setup is.
One of this story's greatest strengths, in my opinion, is its atmosphere. From the very beginning, Zara Storm takes us into this dark, bloody setting that’s been filled with tension and fear. A world where trust doesn’t exist and every decision feels like it could have deadly consequences. This setting raises the stakes and adds layers of suspense, ensuring each chapter feels like a plunge into this fully fleshed, dangerous world. It has a magical pulse but is tinged with quiet menace that fans of atmospheric fantasy will enjoy.
As with every other Zara Storm book I’ve read, the characters Zara has created are yet another highlight of this novel. The FMC is such an icon: she’s determined, resilient, and she stands her ground against fate, helping to ground the story in grit and absolute strength. Her foe is a demon hero who balances terrifying danger with breathtaking charisma. Their chemistry crackles into something more complex and dimensional than physical attraction almost instantly. Particularly refreshing is how the romance comes to support, not eclipse, the main plot, rather than drowning it out with heartbreak and yearning.
The pacing is dynamically managed, and a deft mix of action, mystery, and romantic tension keeps the momentum moving. There are brief moments where the story could have used more time to breathe, allowing for deeper scenes or emotional beats. There are some minor pacing hiccups, but they do little to dull the book's effectiveness. The narrative has enough twists and turns—none of which feel contrived or artificial—to keep the suspense flowing and the reader engaged.
Overall, Demon Bound is a great first book in what I believe will be an addicting series. I loved the dark fantasy romance blend, proper stakes, and a juicy character batting for both sides with some heat, which I always appreciate. Those who appreciate morally ambiguous characters and stories with hefty consequences will likely enjoy this one.
There is greater room for growth in some scenes that might have improved the experience, but it is justified by the novel’s strengths and pacing. Demon Bound is certainly a journey worth taking for readers longing for dark, sexy urban fantasy with an emotional anchor. How will your heart choose when everything is at stake?

If you’re looking for a demon Lord/shadow daddy creeping into the mind of a fierce heroine while they go on a quest together, than this book is exactly for you!

Leah would do anything to protect her sister, that is why she’s been scavenging war spoils from the remnants of battles between demons and angels. But suddenly she finds herself on a table to be sacrificed to a demon by some masked figures. The demon they catch the attention of is none other than the Lord of Malice, dark ruler of one of the hellish realms. Lord Syrus is angry and stubborn and once he frees Leah, he bounds her to him in order to do his bidding. Malice is experiencing some alarming facts and Leah has to help Syrus investigate the human plane. But something that started as a bargain soon turns into so much more, until dark secrets start to unravel their fragile love.
This story got me hooked and I finished it in three days. I loved the worldbuilding, so easy to grasp, but also how protective, supportive and feral Syrus is, while Leah gradually discovers herself and her powers after caged years at home. I’ll admit that sometimes I would have wanted for Leah to trust Syrus more, but I’m trusting the process. I also fell for the secondary characters and animals (a three-headed panther pet!!) and I can’t wait to read more!

Leah farebbe di tutto pur di proteggere la sua sorellina, anche subire le angherie della matrigna, anche diventare una ladra di spoglie di guerra sui campi delle battaglie tra angeli e demoni. Ma una notte Leah si trova alla mercé di stregoni incappucciati che la offrono in sacrificio a una oscura entità. Il signore di Malice, Syrus, non può essere imprigionato e presto abbatte la sua furia su chi l’ha convocato, ma decide di prendere possesso del corpo di Leah e farsi aiutare ad investigare sul piano degli umani, al quale non può accedere. A Malice sono infatti in corso strani fenomeni e solo con l’aiuto di Leah Syrus può scoprire la verità. Una verità pericolosa che rischia di separarli per sempre.
Il primo libro di una trilogia romantasy ha un worldbuilding davvero bello e comprensibile e una rosa di personaggi secondari interessantissimi. Il rapporto di amore tra i protagonisti è graduale, fatto di una connessione profonda e molto difficile, soprattutto perché Leah non si fida di nessuno e tiene molto alla sua indipendenza (avrei voluto che si affidasse di più a Syrus). Dal canto suo, Syrus è un personaggio complesso e bellissimo, protettivo e leale. La storia finisce in cliffhanger e non vedo l’ora di scoprire cos’altro succederà.

Leah has been working as a scavenger for years to secure her younger sister's freedom in addition to her own. But when her stepmother plans on arranging her younger sister's marriage, Leah steps in and marries the suitor herself. Little did she know that it was all a guise to sacrifice her to a demon. The ceremony goes sideways and now Leah has Syrus, the Demon Lord of Malice in her head, able to control her body at any time. They make an uneasy truce, and Leah agrees to help him investigate a series of mysterious sabotages in exchange for her freedom.
Leah is a strong protagonist with a nice practical streak. She's slow to trust and does her best to not give the demons surrounding her more information than they need. Her main motivations are to stay alive and to help her sister. Thankfully, unlike other main characters motivated by saving a family member, she does not spend a huge amount of time bemoaning the fact that she's separated from her sister. Instead she plots and waits for an opportunity to arrive. But as she discovers the realities of Infernum and demons in general, she starts to appreciate them, and soon finds that she wants to truly help Syrus.
Syrus is surprisingly compelling as a love interest. He is loyal to his people and he truly finds Leah to be inspiring and worthwhile. As his interest slowly turns into love, he tries to minimize the power imbalance inherent in their relationship, which I found to be fairly commendable. However, the need to protect his people (and in some ways himself) unfortunately leads to him making a few very reasonable decisions that undermines the relationship entirely.
Demon Bound is a slow burn paranormal romance that takes place in a world with an unending war between demons and angels with humans stuck in the middle. The characterization was nuanced and fully developed, and the plot had enough twists to keep things interesting. A very good read, and I can't wait to see where this series goes.

If you love a fast-paced, high tension read, you're in the right wheelhouse. Leah, with her quirks, horrendous allergies (mood), and her stubborn need to protect those she loves in a world that has left her behind. Syrus, with his pain, his prophecy, and that moment of curiosity that surely changed the course of his future. What's more to like?
While this book started off a bit fast for my initial preference at the beginning, there quickly came a point that I couldn't put it down - and I'm so glad I didn't. I typically appreciate a deep backstory and memory building at the start of books. I want to live their experiences, feel their loss or pain or excitement as their lives are fleshed out before us. In this case, ultimately, the true story lies in the heart of Malice, and I understood that we had to get on with it to get to the really good stuff (and there is really good stuff *wink wink*).
What I truly appreciated was the very real moment where the reality of the situation that these two characters have stumbled into is truly seen for what it is. The moment that Syrus takes to re-evaluate how to move forward completely sold me, and massive props to Zara, who executed that fabulously without being completely unrealistic in the way that many books can be. That, alongside the tension, the will-they-won't-they, and how vividly the sensations of the possession and their presence together were described, sufficiently got me hooked. Call me a salmon, cuz I was eating hook, line and sinker.
I usually am able to see twists before they come and while I had some guesses about where the ending may go, I was pleasantly surprised about how wrong I was. It was the perfect segue into the sequel - which I definitely will be reading - and I can't wait for more.

Leah is a scavenger trying to earn enough money to free her sister and herself from a crappy Cinderella-esque home life. She is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her sister safe. Later that drive to keep people safe extends to those in the demon realm. Leah was such a strong woman who struggled with an early incident scavenging. The care she gave across realms to those she wanted to protect is pretty much abandoned in the final pages. I really enjoyed the book until the end. Not so much that it ends with a cliffhanger but what Leah ends up doing. She seems more like a petulant child stomping off after being slighted rather than an adult, which is why the ending seems so out of character.
Syrus is the Lord of Malice. He showed true empathy and was torn over what he had to give up to be the ruler. Leah sees this first hand, justifying her trust in him. There definitely was reason for him not to tell Leah the prophecy. He grew too attached and didn’t want to lose her. She wants her freedom though and Syrus seems like just another man that is willing to take away her autonomy. The human realm seems slightly dystopian having to deal with ephilium and demon wars in their realm constantly. Leah was used as a payment for her fathers gambling debts. While Infernium seemed to be more egalitarian it still had issues between their residents.
There are a few story lines running at the same time…the lake, Leah's attempted sacrifice, who set that sacrifice up, the demon smiting, and the ephilium sneaking around on the human plane. Other than the lake the rest is either left open or unsolved. Since this is the first book of a trilogy that does make sense. Syrus and Leah have good chemistry and their relationship evolves earning 🌶️🌶️🌶️. Was a quick and easy read, even with the ending. I will read the next installment. I got the arc via BookSirens, enjoyed reading it, and have left the review voluntarily.

This was a fast-paced good time read!
Thank you to the author for an e-arc of this. I’ve really enjoyed a couple other of Zara’s series. I wasn’t sure how I would like the whole demon/human type story but this was really intriguing! We have the demons and the ephilium fighting this eternal war, with the humans just kind of acting as Switzerland in between.
Our FMC, Leah. is a scavenger trying to earn a living off the remnants of the battlefields between the demons and ephilium. To earn enough to get her and her sister out of their home and start a new life. When her sister is offered up as a bride though, Leah steps in and takes her place. Unfortunately, wedded bliss would never last long and she suddenly becomes the offer up on a different altar and not possessed by a powerful demon, who cannot only infiltrate her mind but control her body. Whisked away to the demon realm, she must find a way to escape back to the human world but also figure out a way to permanently kick out the unwanted tenant in her head. And this demon? He’s not just any ordinary demon and he’s not bad to look at either 😜
This is fast-paced but slow burn. I love that there are more than one mystery happening during the story and the author does actually let us solve one of them on this book, while leaving open others for future books. It makes you feel like you at least get SOME answers for book 1 and not leaving it all for future books.
The spice 🌶️ is slow burn but when the guy you’re doing it with can possess you completely? Some fun and kinky things can happen 🥵
The ending is definitely left open. It’s not a cliffhanger but it’s leading us right into book 2 for sure and I’m excited to see where we go from here.

This all changes when she wakes up as a sacrifice on an altar and Syrus, the Demon Lord of Malice, possesses her body to escape. Using this connection, he coerces Leah into a bargain where she’ll act as his vessel while they try to uncover who’s messing with his domain.
Oh, how I love a morally grey yet somehow green flag MMC. Syrus is everything you want in a love interest; moody, possessive, shadow wielding - must I go on? This trope may be overused in the romantasy genre, however, the author’s originality and multifaceted characters definitely separate this story from the norm. I admired Leah’s steadfast personality and found myself relating to her in more ways than one (the allergies for sure). She throws herself into danger despite not knowing the outcome, and continuously surprises Syrus with her sharp wit and perceptiveness. Her dynamic with the side characters was also entertaining, particularly with Viz and Triya.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to book two. And for those who shipped Elspeth with the Nightmare in One Dark Window, this one’s for you.

From the opening chapters, I was hooked by the dark, immersive atmosphere and the constant feeling that no one was entirely trustworthy. The world is filled with magic, danger, and secrets, making every chapter feel like another step deeper into a beautifully crafted nightmare.
The characters were definitely the highlight for me. The heroine is determined, resilient, and refuses to let fate dictate her future, while the demon hero walks that perfect line between terrifying and utterly irresistible. Their chemistry crackles from the moment they meet, and I loved watching the tension slowly evolve into something much deeper. The romance never overshadowed the plot—instead, it strengthened every emotional moment.
The pacing kept me invested throughout, balancing action, mystery, and romance with plenty of twists along the way. There were a few moments where I wished certain scenes had a little more breathing room, which is what kept this from being a full five-star read, but the payoff was absolutely worth it.

Honestly, I was sold on the plot as soon as I saw there was a possession element. I’d been thinking I need more possession romances in my life so when I saw this, I knew I wanted to read it. And, thankfully (it’s always hit or miss on the Read Now page), this one was great. Perfect, no. But pretty damn good.
Leah is a scavenger, someone who picks over the remains of battles between demons and ephilium (angels) to save enough money to escape her life. She also wants to take her sister with her. So, when her sister is offered up to some random dude, Leah takes her place and agrees to marry him. Things don’t go according to plan (shocking) and she ends up with a demon chilling in her head. Things continue from there.
I liked seeing the relationship develop between Leah and Syrus which goes from dislike to tentative trust to something more. The possession element was fun (although I would’ve liked about 15% more possession), the world was interesting and the writing was entertaining. Demon Bound kept my attention from beginning to end (and what an end to book one).
There wasn’t anything I disliked, but the plot was a little predictable (as was the ‘twist’). This isn’t a negative or anything (I read a lot of fantasy romance and they all get a little similar after a while). There just wasn’t anything new or shocking in the story. But I still had a good time!
Overall, I’m giving it a 4.25 out 5 (rounded down to a 4). I’m very much looking forward to book 2 and I can’t wait to see what happens with Leah and Syrus next.

After being offered up as a sacrifice on her wedding night, Leah becomes the unwilling host to the Demon Syrus, Lord of Malice. Wanting to be free of her life, she accepts Syrus' bargain to help him in the war between Demons and Ephilium.
I found myself chasing the ending because I just needed to know what happened next. The tension between both of our main characters and the opposing sides of the war pulled me into the story. I wanted to get more of both, which doesn't always happen for me. With some Romantasy novels I find myself liking one more than the other, this one kept me on my toes. I wanted Syrus to figure out what was going on just as much as I wanted him with Leah.
Our FMC, Leah is exactly the type of character I love in my books. She may seem weak compared to others but she has the fire to push forward. She worked hard to keep her little sister safe and didn't let anyone tell her who she needed to be. She pushed back and defended herself instead of allowing people to use and abuse her. Although I typically love dual POV, I was actually quite happy that we didn't get Syrus' POV as much as Leah's. We were able to see the world through her eyes and get to learn about the Demons from her POV. I liked having snippets of his world because it helped me understand his decisions but also being able to keep in mind what his duty was. Both characters were complex and proves that not everything is black and white.
The story didn't exactly end on a cliffhanger but I will definitely pick up the next one and Zara Storm's other books.

I am such a sucker for a genuinely competent FMC, and Leah absolutely delivered. She has a difficult past, but the story never gets bogged down by it. Instead, she keeps moving forward, taking everything thrown at her in her stride with just the right amount of confidence, grit, and sarcasm. Her voice is sharp, witty, and so much fun to read. I already know she's going to stick with me.
This is a really character driven story (which is exactly what my current mood called for), but the plot quietly builds alongside the characters without ever feeling overshadowed. The stakes are high, yet the storytelling has a lightness that makes it impossible to put down. I flew through it.
And don't even get me started on all the questions I have! 👀 Syrus keeps hinting at this prophecy, and I need answers. Then there's Vis and his endless piles of notes and paperwork... I have a feeling he's hiding far more than he lets on. By the end of Book 1, it genuinely feels like we've only scratched the surface of this world, and I'm so excited to see where the story goes next.
Overall, Demon Bound was such a fun read, and I'm already impatiently waiting for Book 2! If you love competent heroines, witty banter, and fantasy that balances high stakes with plenty of humour, this one is definitely worth picking up. ✨

It’s just a matter of time before their stepmother tries to marry her off and she cannot let that happen.
Unfortunately, due to her father’s gambling debt; Leah’s younger sister is offered as a bride to settle their father’s debt, but Leah refuses to let that happen and offers herself in exchange. No good deed goes unpunished. Everything Leah does is for her sister and when her wedding night ends with her on a sacrificial altar, Leah transforms from sacrifice to host when Syrus the Demon Lord of Malice decides to claim her as his host while trying to figure out who is responsible for targeting his realm.
Leah and Syrus were perfect together and their banter was comical because when they were not in his realm, he is in her mind and their back and forth is hilarious.
Yes, this is a dark fantasy so heed your trigger warnings but there is a lighthearted feel to this story amid the savagery; and believe me Syrus is savage when angry. Both Leah and Syrus realize that their problems are one and the same and only by working together will they be able to root out the problem plaguing both their worlds.

Demon Bound turned the traditional angels and demon narrative upside down and gave it a good shake while it was at it. To say I loved this book is an understatement - this book had me an absolute chokehold and I am desperate to know what happens next. Literally there was everything that a dark romance fantasy book lover could want plus a few extra surprises.
Something that I love about Zara Storm's books is the growth and evolution of the FMC. From the very beginning Leah has this grit and determination, but throughout the book we begin to see her own and recognize her own strength. She is in no way the fainting damsel in distress archetype, Leah would rather take the beating than ask for help. She is that type of character you instantly become invested with.
The there is Syrus, the Lord of Malice, a demon, and very definition of a shadow daddy. Do I really need to say more? Sure I could talk about his unwavering sense of loyalty to his people, his tortured past, that healthy dash of morally grey, and his impressive wingspan... who am I kidding, I could talk about those things all day long. Something that I love about Zara Storm's books is the growth and evolution of the FMC. From the very beginning Leah has this grit and determination, but throughout the book we begin to see her own and recognize her own strength. She is in no way the fainting damsel in distress archetype, Leah would rather take the beating than ask for help. She is that type of character you instantly become invested with.
The there is Syrus, the Lord of Malice, a demon, and very definition of a shadow daddy. Do I really need to say more? Sure I could talk about his unwavering sense of loyalty to his people, his tortured past, that healthy dash of morally grey, and his impressive wingspan... who am I kidding, I could talk about those things all day long. Leah would do anything to protect her sister, even marry a stranger in her place. Unfortunately for her, the wedding is nothing more than a sacrifice, leaving her bound to Syrus, the Demon Lord of Malice, who now lives in her mind and can take control of her body. It's such a fun premise, and the story wastes no time throwing you into the chaos.
I really liked Leah as an FMC. She's practical, cautious, and never loses sight of why she's fighting in the first place. Even after she's pulled into the demon realm, she's always thinking a few steps ahead instead of waiting for someone else to save her.
Syrus was a pleasant surprise. He's powerful and intimidating, but there's a lot more to him than that. Watching the relationship between him and Leah slowly shift from reluctant allies to something more was one of my favorite parts. The slow burn is worth the wait, and the shared body aspect adds a unique twist to their dynamic.
I also appreciated that this first book actually answers some of its biggest mysteries while still leaving plenty to explore in the next one. Between the ongoing war, political intrigue, and secrets surrounding the sabotage, there was always something pulling me forward.
The ending isn't a cliffhanger, but it definitely sets the stage for book two, and I'll happily be picking it up to see where Leah and Syrus go next.

I’ve been a fan of Zara’s books from the very beginning and have been lucky enough to review her ARCs since 2024, so I was really excited to get my hands on this one.
Leah is such an easy character to root for. Everything she does is for her sister and I loved watching her navigate everything that gets thrown at her. Syrus was another standout for me!! his banter with Leah had me smiling so many times. Their dynamic was definitely one of my favourite parts of the book.
I usually prefer a slower start with a bit more backstory, so the opening felt a little quick for me. But once the story got going, I couldn’t put it down. The mystery kept me guessing, the tension was done so well and I really appreciated that the characters actually took time to process what was happening instead of everything feeling unrealistic and rushed.
I thought I had the ending figured out but I was happily proved wrong. It wrapped up perfectly while leaving me desperate to pick up the sequel.
If you enjoy dark fantasy with high stakes, morally grey characters, great banter and plenty of twists, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a read. I can’t wait to see where Zara takes these characters next!

I absolutely loved this book right up until the final five pages.
The characters’ backstories, motivations, relationship development, and worldbuilding were all incredibly well done. I was completely invested in the story, and I am genuinely glad I requested an ARC copy.
However, those last few pages stopped this from being a five-star read for me. I understand that this is the first book in a series and that the author wanted to end on a cliffhanger, but the female main character’s final decision did not feel convincing to me. After all the emotional development and progress in the relationships, it felt as though much of that growth suddenly disappeared.
I think the ending might have worked better if the story had continued for a few more chapters and allowed the characters to reach that point more naturally. As it was, the conclusion made the relationship feel like it had taken a step backward.
That being said, I am still very curious about the second book, and I will definitely continue the series. I loved almost everything about this story, but I would be lying if I said the ending did not leave a slightly bitter taste in my mouth.

Zara Storm, you near killed me with that cliffhanger (it is at a natural stopping point so it isn't a frustrating one.) I did not look at the page count or my percentage complete once while reading this book, and let me tell you, I was SHOCKED to discover I had finished the book. If there was a digital version of turning the book over to look for more pages, I would be doing it. I was completely disoriented when I finished because it sucked me in so completely.
This book had everything I love in a romantasy. Basically every plot point is a spoiler in disguise, so I'm not going to summarize what happens, just know that everything happens for a reason. I cannot recommend this book enough.

We start off with Nephilim and Demons fighting, with the human realm between them, and here Leah is scavenging off the dead. We learn she is risking it all to leave her horrible life and save herself from the future with her family, and she cares even more about saving her sister.
She gets possessed by a Demon Lord, and then the fun really starts. The banter between Syrus and Leah is fantastic. I loved their back and forth. They go from enemies/nothing really to a slow burn with such a sweet payoff.
This book was enjoyable, with a lot of turns and twists. I wasn't bored or felt it was too slow at any point, and I couldn't wait to finish it! Just so I could slam into the massive wall of a cliffhanger—we can't even see the cliff, that ending KILLED me.
How am I going to be able to wait to read the ending? I may have to make a trade with a snare just to find out. 🤣
I think if you love angels, demons, enemies to lovers, and deadly cliffhangers, then this book is definitely for you. It absolutely was for me!

This was my first Zara Storm book and it did not disappoint. What initially drew me in was her comparison to One Dark Window and the monster that lived within her mind but turn that into a dark romance with a demon - I was here for it. Demon in question - Syrus, yes please.
The romance in this story was pretty well written and developed. Though i will say i could've used more tension and banter but appreciated the slow burn and no spice until the end where it made sense and worked.
The overall plot was really interesting though we still havent figured out the answer to one of the main story's mysteries. I will say as much as I appreciated the plot, I did find the book a little boring. I never had issues with it keeping my interest but its not an exciting book and would've benefited from more romantic tension or action sequences. But again, overall good story/plot.
I will say I did not appreciate being left on a cliffhanger and im still undecided how I feel about said cliffhanger. Will definitely be continuing this series and thanks Zara for the Arc opportunity!

What a devilishly delightful story!! I absolutely loved the demon possession, shared consciousness/mind, and one body aspects between Leah and Syrus. They had such an intense connection and the tension that came through the bond was perfection.
I really enjoyed Leah's character. She was quick witted and had a fabulously sarcastic sense of humor. I loved all her little jabs at Syrus and how she was able to make him feel things.
Syrus was domineering but was quite complex once you got to know him. I was surprised by all his layers and actually grew really attached to him. I loved how much he grew as a character throughout the story and I'm excited to see how his feelings evolve in the next book.

Demon Bound by Zara Storm is the story of Leah, who takes her sister’s place which has immense consequences. She is now bound to a demon, finds herself in a strange world and will do everything to be free again.
Wow, this book was so good! From the very first page I had a really hard time putting the book down. Leah is a fantastic character, she is fierce, loyal to those she cares about, and determined to make her own life. I love how Zara Storm always makes the female characters so tough: they are no damsels in distress, but can take care of themselves. And the world-building is so great: it is a whole new world, but Zara Storm makes it so that is totally believable.
The plot of this book is well thought out and the story is filled with unexpected twists and turns, drama, betrayal and a bit of romance. The writing style is great, fast paced and as the story went on, Leah finds out who she really is. The cliffhanger makes me long for the next book.
If you want a great fantasy story, this is the book you should read.

Leah is such an easy heroine to fall for — a scavenger fiercely determined to protect her sister, whose sacrifice takes a wild turn when she ends up hosting Syrus, the Demon Lord of Malice. Their dynamic totally stole the show for me — their banter genuinely made me giggle, the tension was delicious, and I loved watching them slowly let their guards down as they realized they needed each other to solve their intertwined problems. Zara Storm does such a lovely job building an immersive demon world without overwhelming you with info-dumps, and I loved how creative the world and its creatures felt. The romance builds so naturally, and Leah's bond with her sister gave the whole story such a warm emotional core. I also really appreciated how the heavier, darker moments were handled with genuine care and realism.
That said, the twist caught me completely off guard in the best way, and it sets up the sequel beautifully! Already counting down to book two!

The beginning of a story that I suspect will led us to en epic adventure, bloody battles of light and green blood, malice and love, and a few twists along the way.
Leah's just try to make sure her life doesn't fall apart, her household already a struggle to be in while she spends her days as a scavanger during battles that could very well be the end of her.
However, her escape plan has come with a little unexpectanct obstacle, where she's now sacrificing herself to help her sister...only to be come sacrifical in another sense she did not sign up for.
On the very of it all ending, she lands in the lap of Syrus, the Lord of Malice, and he has plans for her.
Loved the connecting between our star FMC and MMC and where they is going to lead in the next book, seriously cannot wait to see what is going to happen to the people who seriously need a good smack, and of course the big twist that came towards the end that has us raising questions.

Demon Bound is the first book I've read by Zara Storm. When I first started reading it, I had mixed feelings about the writing style. The beginning felt a little slow, but once Leah and Syrus met, the story really took off. From that point on, I couldn't put it down. I especially enjoyed the banter between the two main characters.
That said, I wasn't a fan of the ending. Leah came across as immature, and the miscommunication between the main characters felt rushed and somewhat forced. Some plot points were also predictable, though I did enjoy the possession aspect of the story.
Overall, I enjoyed Demon Bound and definitely plan to continue the series. I'd recommend it to readers who enjoy paranormal romance and demon themed stories. Most of the issues I had were based on my personal preferences rather than flaws in the book itself.

This is a slow burn for sure, and one thing I really liked was at Leah and Syrus's first meeting, NEITHER FELT ATTRACTED OR OBSESSED OR IN LOVE WHICH EACH OTHER, SUCH A REFRESHING CHANGE.
Ok as a whole this book is amazing, the pacing keeps you interested and the pages turning, it has an original idea and it's always nice to see sister relationships and I loved Leah and Evie, and hate Ada, the stepmother for Leah. And the whole scavenger roles and magic system was really interesting.
And THE 3 HEADED HELLCAT, I love her so much and the way she has a backstory is amazing.
