She’s a Lamb is an unsettling, addictive descent into obsession and delusion — think Yellow Face, Children of Paradise, and The Whispering Muse, filtered through a Bunny-adjacent nightmare with the horror dialed down a notch.
Jessamyn is a triumph of character work: a malicious Moira Rose, all delusion and self-mythology, except the damage she causes is devastatingly real. I found myself pitying her one moment and recoiling the next — that whiplash is the whole point, and it’s hard to pull off this well.
Fair warning: this book got under my skin. I was waking up at night with my heart pounding — if I’d had a smart watch on, I’m confident it would’ve clocked an elevated heart rate for the entire read.
My only critique is pacing — it runs a touch longer than the story needs, and a tighter edit would’ve made the tension even more relentless.
Overall: a tense, character-driven exploration of obsession that earns its comps. Recommended for readers who like their protagonists deeply unreliable.

This was unhinged in the best way! I love reading about crazy and delusional main characters, and She’s a Lamb! did not disappoint.
Jessamyn is definitely not a likable character. She’s completely full of herself, delusional and honestly a little insane, but at the same time, she cracked me up. 😂
I had a fun time reading this and watching her become more and more unhinged.
