I'm really liking this story. The pace is WAY slower than any Litrpg I've read before, but since it's the growth of a town from its "birth" into the first coming of age of the small town - it makes since.
If you are expecting battles, both physical and magical, this isn't a book/series that's going to satisfy you. The main protagonist IS the most powerful Battle Mage in the story universe, but he has faked his death and deliberately minimized his magical signature to that of a hedge wizard.
So far, the story has a wizard, an Ogre, some Dwarf, an elemental, and a Lithomorph (not going to provide a spoiler, other than saying it's a really big/unusual character).
One thing that's driving me to distraction is the continued reference to the misshappened G on the sign with the small village's name, Rune Hollow. Right. I can't figure out what I've missed.
If you're an eclectic reader, I can Highly Recommend this series.
This book is a masterpiece. I want more. So much more. I want to know more about James and the people of the town. I want to know if he’s able to help the other town and I just want to live in this series for ever. I loved it. I really really want the author to write more❤️ auto buy from now on.
