This book definitely kept me tethered to my kindle !
WOW, I mean wow, from beginning to end this book had me in a chokehold. Where Wrangled was a slow burn with all the character and story development we could ask for, this book dives right back in, drags us off the cliff and throws us head first into Candice’s unique and compelling storytelling.
Calliope wakes up in a hospital bed, with one man at her side, one man walking out the door, and one trying to get her to trust him and let him in. And the rest has to be read to be believed.
Here’s all I will tell you, this is the second book, there is a cliffhanger, and I may not survive the time it takes until the third and final book gets released. This series is definitely filled with triggering moments, so don’t take those warnings lightly. This is not your typical cowboy romance, it has twists, it has turns and it has enough heat to possibly melt your kindle. I would tell you to prepare yourself, but honestly there’s no way that you could. Candice makes sure that you never see what she has coming until she wants you to see it, which is why I love to read her books. So go grab Wrangled and you can thank me later!

Calliope is on a mission of revenge against the three me who framed her for a murder she did not commit, and she is battling inner demons, but when secrets are revealed her world tilts on it’s axels. Who can Calliope trust, and who can she not?
This story ends in a brutal cliffhanger, and I cannot want to read the next book.

This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, danger, suspense, intrigue, drama, tension, secrets, vengeance, trust, morally grey, revelations, combustible chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, twisted, and unpredictable, dark small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Just WOW!! **as I pick my jaw off of the floor after reading this book** I really want to give this book and series so far more than 5 stars because it is so bloody good. Can I also give a personal high five for the trio of hotness - The Crook (Austin), The Cowboy (Riggs) and The Cop (Shepard) who were literally pure fire in this book!! With the level of heat that they all brought. Pirate Cowboys are definitely my new love lol.

This book was a winding road of twist and turns filled with witchy vibes and a begins of a found family. Calliope has a unique relationship growing at its on pace with each interest giving a touch of realism to the different levels the relationships are growing. I wish one had a bit more development beforehand as it bordered the line of instalove vibes for me which isn’t my cup of tea along. The supernatural aspect is a major theme for the boom but I like how it hangs more in the background letting the character development take the spotlight. New develops and surprise encounters knock Callie’s plans a bit off kilter while giving us a larger support cast and further world building. After the ending we got…readers beware! There is no way to continue but forward because too many questions are left brewing in its wake.

Damn, she got me again. Hook, line, and sinker. Candice is a master story telling this series gets better with each book. Just when I think I have the story figured out here comes her right hook as she rips the carpet out from under me causing me face plant. Calliope and Riggs were made for each other but what about Shepard and Austin… and the rest of the crappy townspeople who turned their back on her for her entire life. The chemistry in the book is electric (no pun intended) but just as things heat up more secrets are divulged sending Calliope into a tailspin. Who can she trust? It’s another whirlwind of mixed emotions, battling inner demons and realizing there is more at play than meets the eye. I can’t wait for the final book to see Calliope get her revenge on everyone.

This series just gets better and better. If you thought that last ending was shocking this one will knock the wind from your sails. Calliope is an FMC that checks all your boxes. She strong, smart, independent, and a baddie. She doesn’t need anyone, but you couldn’t think of her without Riggs. He’s the MMC we all love. Loyal, burn the world down for her, loving, strong, and the spice he gives you is so good. This book is giving all the spice you need to complement the great story line. I’m not gonna lie, this ending left me devastated. Just when I think I can love a character the queen of plot twists strikes again. Don’t pass this series up!

The book has some great twists in it and the way this one ended completely shocked me as you thought you had things worked out about what happened in the past until this event.

Any believable emotion in this book was immediately cheapened by the jarring and (I can only assume) misinterpreted ending. There’s no way the author will allow that to be the truth about Austin. Literally wtf?? Even before reaching peak disgust at that ending, I heavily debated dropping this book. The relationships are built on nothing but lust, lack any believable chemistry, and, quite frankly, ick me out with the way these men continue to disregard Calliope in every meaningful way. I stuck it out to the end, mainly because I wanted to see Calliope drop all these men into the dirt and ride off into the sunset, but it was a complete waste of my time.

Calliope and her men are wooowww is all I can say. This is the second book of the series. You need to read the first to understand this one. This book picked right up from the last. Riggs is still the protector, shepherd is the sheriff and Calliope is trying to find her way to work with the community and find her feet. One day another man comes into the picture from her past and she doesn’t know what to believe. Callis products are flying off the shelf and so are all the surprises happening. I am ready for the next one!

I received this as an ARC. I read the first book in this amazing series and was lucky enough to get the ARC for this one, too. That one ended in a cliffhanger and this one did too. Oh my God, Candice, what are you doing to me? This was so good. It picks up not too long after the last book (no spoilers but that’ll make sense when you read it). It was amazing and so much was going on that the book just flew by. I am already ready for the third book. I am dying to know how this turns out. Strap yourself in before starting this one. It’s a wild, amazing ride!

I am not okay because WTH. So much happens Calliope was affected by her encounter with Austin in more ways than one. Now we see her recovering yet she and Shepherd are at odds. The shifts in the relationships building between her Riggs, Shepherd and now Austin. The interactions with her and people in the town. More secrets are revealed, lies spunned, betrayal revealed, bonds formed, spice and some humor.. what i was not prepared for was that huge bomb dropped and the result that led to an unbelievable cliffhanger.

Tethered picks up right where Wrangled left off. Just as with Wrangled, I couldn't put this one down and felt the need to keep turning pages just to see what would happen next. I really loved seeing all the connections and relationships develop over the course of this installment, but just as with Wrangled, it leaves off with a whopper of a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the last installment and to see how everything works out.

This is Book 2 of a trilogy! Book 1 (Wrangled) must be read first. It is a Cowboy, paranormal, why choose. Honestly loving Calliope and her guys. The story drew me in from the first book. This one drew me further and has me impatiently waiting for the third book. While all of the guys are great, I must admit I am partial to Riggs. His determination to keep her safe (whether she wants him to or not) is amazingly written. I can't wait to see how the story ends.

The magic and mystery are turning up the heating around every corner is another challenge for Calliope to face. It is just page turning, boot stomping, heart racing good.It picks up where book 1 left off and we are in for wild ride from the very beginning. Calliope's 3 men are sex on a stick personified. My favorite is Riggs. That plot twist though, that's a doozy. And it will keep you up at night. Because it certainly did me.

Holy Wow! This trilogy just gets more amazing with each book. While this may be fiction, women everywhere will recognize the truth within its pages. The cliff hanger will definitely have you ready to devour Book 3 when it’s released.

This is the second book in The Wicked West Series. You have to read Wrangled first. This book will pick up where that one left off. I will go ahead and tell you that you will not be able to lay this book down. It is really fast paced, and I will be surprised if at some point, you're not sitting there going what the actual heck. I love Calliope. This girl is certainly not someone you want to mess with at all. I loved that about her. Then you have Riggs, Shepherd, and Austin. Don't ask me to pick a favorite because I don't think that I could. Each of these men has earned their place at her side. She is a girl who will tell you off if she needs to or love you to pieces if she really likes you. Each of the guys has a way about them. Riggs is so understanding. Shephard is one hard man. If you don't know the man, you would think that he didn't like anyone ever. Austin is the wild card. There is no telling what this man will do. These guys have had to work to earn her trust and have to work to keep it too. As you can imagine since this is a series you are left hanging off the edge of a cliff praying that the one finger holding you to the cliff can hang on. This is a series that you do not want to miss. I have loving it.

OMFG...idk what to say, but I didn't see that coming at all...WTAF... I liked Austun from the get go in book 1 and thought he would redeem himself in book 2 and then this comes out... Aww man idk what to think about him now I just really hope he doesn't die and has a SERIOULY GOOD reason for doing what he did...Damn can't wait for book 3

1⭐️DNF 21% I can’t with the non-consent of sleep walking sex. It would be hot if the FMC would pull her head out of her ass and have an adult conversation. The emotional declarations mean nothing without communication. It feels very creepy that she is taking away his autonomy. The story otherwise seems interesting and I would continue but I can’t with the noncon.
