I like a Jubilee-heavy book, I've gotta' say. If you grew up with her in the 90s, there is something comforting about being back in her head. And I like the fact she keeps thinking about how she wants to be useful.

Not loving the way her powers are being drawn lately. Doesn't feel like the artist got the memo on "plasmoids." But, at least no one is foolishly calling her powers "light" again.

Also, Apocalypse makes a vague reference to kinetic energy and looking for his "horseman." Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down? Apocalypse has turned the following people into horsemen, even if only briefly: the original War, Pestilence, and Famine who accompanied Warren as "Death," but retroactively these were preceded by drummer guy, minotaur guy, Asian-lady-pestilence, etc., then we had Wolverine, Polaris, Gambit, Caliban, Sunfire, Deathbird, Hulk, Daken, Banshee, Prof. X, Storm, Gazer, Colossus...

Are we prioritizing Gambit as a horseman of Apocalypse because of his recent appearance as such on X-Men '97? If so, not loving the media reshaping the comics. Again.

Gambit wasn't even "Death" for all that long, and the storyline was cringe. The cartoon didn't even make use of his one noteworthy new power, the ability to "make gas." When I explained that to my husband, he informed me that he also has that power.

Did not expect Jubilee to be the focus of the issue! I haven't caught up on her story in the Uncanny X Men run, but I'm hoping this gives her some good character development for her future stories. The ending of this comic is a nod to the Krakoa Excalibur run. I'm locked in for the full series. Haven't read much of Ashley Allen's work, but I do have Moonstar in my library and one issue of Magik's solo. I should pick those up. Domenico Carbone's artwork definetly makes you want to keep reading to see how he illustrates everything.

A good, fun start. Nice to see Jubilee getting some spotlight. The artwork is fun and chaotic.

Its ok

Not bad. A but dry and bland but there is some potential for a good story. Lets see how this plays out.
