Present Quality Library Programs With Less Funds Quality Library Programs For Less illuminates pathways by which small libraries can present a quality weekly adult program series for an average of $25 to $40 per week or less. The author did so for twelve years in a rural town of eight thousand people, with little funds yet much passion and enthusiasm These programs included author readings, poetry performances, travel slide shows, history talks, science and natural history presentations, theatrical performances, musical performances, films with discussions and more. Through cosponsoring programs with community organizations, connecting with library patrons and networking with library friends and board members, the author was able to present a broad and diverse group of adult programs. These included presentations by a Nobel prize physicist, an Academy award winning documentary filmmaker , an internationally acclaimed one-woman theater performance, a talk and screening with a Star Trek actor/director, and many more
During the last four decades I have presented hundreds of films and live events in libraries, museums, colleges, universities, festivals and theaters, including Parabola Magazine's Cinema of the Spirit festival and, for six years, the International Film Festival of the Spirit.
I have been curious about the nature of consciousness from an early age and I also did my first interviews soon after I reached the double digits. During my adult years, I have had the privilege of conducting in-depth interviews with authors, teachers, journalists, filmmakers and musicians. I also have a passion for black and white photography.
