Going into this knowing it was a short story novella made this easy to devour! Finished in one sitting!
If your looking for a plot or more of a story line this is probably not the book for you.
I loved being able to review this one and can’t wait for the series to continue!

This was my first book by Addie Renee, and I listened to the ARC audiobook version.
It follows Damien, the owner of an exclusive BDSM club, and Lyla, a shy woman who attends a masquerade party there with her outgoing best friend, Spencer. Damien is used to being in control, but Lyla immediately catches his attention and sparks his interest.
I really liked the dynamic between them, especially seeing the shy friend be the one who gets the attention. Lyla stepping outside her comfort zone and exploring what she wants was also a highlight for me.
This is very much a spice-forward novella with a quick pace and minimal plot, which is exactly what it promises. I personally tend to prefer a bit more story with my romance, but it still delivers a fun, steamy read.
Overall, a fast, spicy read about a shy woman coming into her confidence and embracing what she wants. If you enjoy erotic novellas with high heat and low angst, you'll love this one

Whew... this is most definitely not in the norm for Addie, but she knocked this one out of the park! The emotion, the tension, the SPICE! That's exactly what this world needs. You need a spicy good time? You wanna question your good girl morals? This the book for you to pick up! Remember it's only one night! 🥵🥵
This story follows Damien a BDSM club owner and Lyla the calm vanilla girl who gets dragged to a mingle night with her friend Spencer! Lyla is nervous to go to the club because it's stepping out of her comfort zone, but what she didn't realize at the time was that was EXACTLY what she needed!
I can't wait for more of this type of writing style from Addie! You go girl! Add all the razzle dazzle out into the world! I am not normally an audio girlie, but I would LOVE to listen to this on audio. I can only imagine the way that the narrators will bring this to life!

Let me start this off by saying I am not a reader that reads for spice or smut what so ever. Truthfully, speaking I skip a majority of spice scenes in books. The author told me this was pretty much smut with little plot….. I’d have to disagree.
Addie Renee managed to give enough plot for it to intrigue me and keep me wanting to know what happened next and how this story ends.
Obviously I can’t speak too much on this as it’s a short read and it’d be spoiled. But this is a one night only, praise k*nk, club, good girl just a few of the tropes in this short read.
But what I also picked up on was the FMC becoming comfortable with another side of her and realizing her power and that it’s okay for her to be dominant as well…. I am also a sucker for an FMC with a mouth and sassy comebacks 😮💨
Addie Renee, you succeed and executed exactly what you set out to do here and your writing continues to leave me wanting more.

Phew... erotica is NOT my forte, but boy was this enjoyable!! The narrators understood the assignment. Then they doubled down and understood it again.
I was completely invested in these characters from the start. The structure of this short story was so well done. From the opening chapter to the epilogue, I loved the setup, the pacing, and the way everything unfolded. The way Addie painted the scenes made it easy to slip right into the story. Everything from the atmosphere of the club, every detail felt vivid and immersive. I could see the setting, feel the vibe, and picture exactly where the characters were.
And him? Watching her through the cameras, completely captivated. Trying to figure her out. Curiosity getting the best of him as he observed her every move and needed to know more about the woman who had caught his attention. That tension had me locked in.
If Addie writes it, I'll end up reading it, even when it's completely outside of my norm.

This book had me in a Chokehold. The way it started was hot 🥵. Then when we got the back story of our MMC and FMC oh my gosh.
Polar opposites on the outside and in the public’s but behind closed doors 🤭. I am the biggest smut lover ever and I am picky about it but Addie! You absolutely killed this. Not only did you have the smut, the spice, the passion, the way to draw a person in but you also had a plot and story line still!! That is hard to do for some but YOU KILLED IT!
I am jealous of Lyla I want to be in that room with Damien instead but shoot let me in there with both and 🥵💀. In all the best ways. I love love lord this little book and can’t wait to read the next one! Keep doing your thing babe. You’re killing it!

This was a fun and sexy little read. I love how she made sure to let us readers know it was an erotica and to not expect too much of a story line but you get enough for you to fall in love with our fmc and mmc. I really enjoyed this spicy read and cant wait for the next ones.

Wow…. This is definitely much different than what I am used to from Addie Renee, but the girl can write a spicy scene that’s for sure!

Going into this one, know that it’s a novella and very much a dessert book. If you’re looking for a heavy plot, this probably isn’t it. The focus is the tension, and the spice, and it delivers exactly what it promises.
The story follows Damien, a sex club owner, and Lyla, a shy, inexperienced woman who meets him at the singles masquerade mingle night. What I enjoyed most was seeing Lyla learn to use her voice and ask for what she wants. Damien encourages her to believe she’s worthy of having her desires heard and then proceeds to make sure she gets exactly what she’s asking for.
If you have a praise kink, you’re probably going to have a very good time with this one. My favorite scenes were definitely the throne scene 🪑and the knife scene 🔪 and of course all of the GFG 🫠
Edit: The audiobook took this from a 4 star read to a 5 star experience. Atlas Quinn and Lauren Beck absolutely nailed these characters. At times it felt less like an audiobook and more like the Quinn app with a plot.. and I mean that as the highest compliment possible. 👀😮💨
