THE TENSION. This novel has an accurate thumbnail by all accounts. Zapata's Chaos... and I like... 50000% wanna spoil but Im gonna let y'all find out yourselves. EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE HAPPENED AND IM STILL IN SHOCK. It took me like... a week to clear time for myself to read past chapter 4, this being because I don't typically have a ton of time on devices, and what time I do have on them I am using for writing and such, so I have to carve extra time out.... Anyways... Had a free day and was doing a sprint call with a friend.... If you've read Cognito... If you've not read Cognito... YOU WILL FREAK AT CHAPTER 6... I stopped. And literally just stared at the screen with my mouth open. My poor sprinting partners didnt know what to do with me. I was babbling about spoilers and babbling about how I couldnt say much but... Yeah you get the picture. Anyway. The tension got crazier and crazier as the book got on. Genuinely, it was a little terrifying when I realized that I had less than a hundred pages left by a certain plot point, and had no idea how a resolution was going to be achieved, especially with all the moving pieces... On characterization, top of its class. I have zero complaints. Setting? I settled right back into it. I think my only real complaint was the last couple pages, I only half-understood what happened in the last two pages and what happened there is vitally important. Gabrielle made it sound like she was planning to adjust it to accomadate that. So, when I get my copy in, I'll update this to fit. But yeah. This was an insanely good read. I finished it in 2 hours about. And uhh... you should read Cognito first. Go read Cognito first and then come here to be traumatized to death. Thats Gils instructions. *cackles*
