LOVING GARRETT - A Remington Ridge NovelA protective cowboy. A family legacy. And the love story readers have been waiting for.
Garrett Remington watched his family build a legacy rooted in love, sacrifice, and faith beneath the sprawling oak tree that still stands at the heart of Remington Ridge.
Now the ranch is thriving. The Remington name means something in Franklin, Tennessee. And Garrett has become the kind of man everyone depends on — steady, loyal, hardworking, and fiercely protective of the people he loves.
But carrying the weight of a legacy comes with a cost.
Behind Garrett’s quiet strength is a man haunted by old heartbreak, buried dreams, and the growing fear that while he’s spent his life taking care of everyone else… he may never find a love story of his own.
Until her.
She was never supposed to become part of his carefully ordered world. Never supposed to challenge the walls he’s spent years building around his heart. And she certainly was never supposed to make him believe that maybe God still had a greater plan for his life than duty alone.
As old wounds resurface and the future of Remington Ridge hangs in the balance, Garrett must decide whether protecting his heart is worth losing the one woman capable of changing everything.
Set against the rolling hills of Tennessee, Loving Garrett is an emotional small-town romance about legacy, healing, faith, and discovering that sometimes the strongest men are the ones brave enough to love again.

“Loving Garrett” is book 3 in the standalone but very connected universe of Remington Ridge series. I encourage you to read this series in order. Each are a standalone, but like family, each of their stories are twined around each other like living vines. It takes place ten years after Caroline’s passing (Caroline’s Promise, book 1). I will say I was anxiously looking forward to “Loving Garrett”. Because what Garrett and Caroline had was truly love, real, pure and deep. But I should have known Lily Mae Winslow would have approached it with grace, love, gentleness, hope, acceptance and understanding. Not to diminish what Caroline and Garrett had together, rather an honoring of Caroline and to fulfill her wish for Garrett to live on with his life, to find love again. For Garrett to realize making room for the future didn’t mean letting go of the past. With Caroline’s love and permission to let Casey and sweet Beau her son, into his big loving heart. With Beau adding extra layers to the whole Remington bunch. Becoming Luke’s, Garrett’s son’s best friend. After Garrett reads letters left by Caroline. He realizes exactly what Caroline meant in the loving letters she left for him. It’s ok to love again. Garrett is faithful and reliable on the ranch. Dedicated to God, family, heritage and legacy. And on the family ranch both brothers created, “Luke’s Ride”, in the name of his deceased brother Luke. Then Caroline and Savannah brought about Freedom Ridge Foundation through a Whitaker trust. With Wyatt starting his veterans program and Luke his Saffron farm. The ranch is growing, thriving…living. Though there are tears shed as this books read, there’s laughter also. Provided by Luke, Beau, Willa and Little Grayson. Along with Willa’s friend Emma Grace. Luke’s compiling of “The Official Record Of Boone's Crimes” are hilarious and quite in-depth😉. Luke’s an amazing boy who’s quite wise for his age, an old soul if you will. Seeming to see within you. You will fall in love with him if you havnt already in previous books. There’s much and many to fall in love with in this book. And we see how the children are so free to express their thoughts and emotions. Showing how loving and nurturing parents or a parent, can mold a little soul. Feed it to grow. There’s much in this book. We have Garrett coming to a decision and realization, with loving again. Wyatt and Savannah showing how they grew out of adversity and strengthened their love. The football scene… be still my heart 🥺. The Remington’s staying strong in love and leadership of the family. With other characters finding their own love in live. And the family saying goodby’s to an old family friend. Seeing Remi, Garrett’s loved horse, showing his age, slower now, but always show up, touched me. Remington Ridge is special. A place you feel you have come home to. Never wanting to leave. A place to learn to love and trust, and have faith again…to heal. The Oak tree, strong and growing. With Caroline and Luke, and one more now, in their resting place’s, looking over the family. Remembered everyday. I highly suggest this book for a fantastic, adventurous, wholesome, clean read. Having old chapters still there with new characters joining the Remington Ridge story. Life continued, Steady, Familiar, Good. A 5 star “plus” read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🤎 Widowed Dad 🩷 New in town single Mom 🏡 a home on the ranch where everyone is always welcome and there is always room at the table and plenty to eat.
When stepping into Remington Ridge I feel like I’m stepping into a simpler time, a world with less ‘hurry up and go’ and more ‘slow down and breathe’. Garrett’s story is delicate. As loved as Caroline is, the grace and heart that Lily Mae Winslow poured into this book that shines through each character is nothing less than inspiring. Each character in this series but especially this book I feel like I know their heart so well. The Remington Family has built a special place where all are welcome, accepted and loved. Where time is taken to listen and observe. The children in this book were such a breath of fresh air. Each of them wise, witty and thoughtful. Beau is so wonderful! Mrs. Remington is the heart of the family. Prayer at dinner is always something to be counted on, not anything that’s a production, just something that happens and is important. There are so many moments in this book I wish I could highlight and share with you without it being a spoiler. Each character is developed with heart, grace and a purpose. Each member of the family and person that steps on the ranch has a purpose and is loved right where they are for who they are. The Remington family is building a legacy that is inspiring to all who enter the ranch; both physically in the book and those of us blessed enough to read it and stop onto the ranch that way. I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the author but it is my pleasure to write this review and help get this book and entire series into the hands of other readers. Thank you, Lily Mae Winslow for allowing me to be a tiny piece of your Street Team, I am blessed by these stories.
A Beautiful Story I will ALWAYS remember and highly recommend to EVERYONE they read. This is one of those books that grabs your heart, and attention from the very first pages and never lets go until the very end. This is not only a beautifully written but an emotionally powerful story that is filled with unforgettable characters. I found the storyline to have the right amount of love, loss, hope, family, and resilience. The emotional depth that Lily writes in this book is incredibly well written and delivers a powerful message of second chances of a life filled with love. I couldn’t stop turning the pages even when I found tears in my eyes. I will make 3 suggestions for you before you start reading this phenomenal book. 1. Clear your schedule for the day because you must read this book in one sitting. 2. Don’t read in public. 3. Keep the tissues nearby. You’re going to need them.
Where do I start? Remington Ridge has become another home to me. The characters have settled into my thoughts and heart. Watching Garrett fall for Casey.....❤️. And Beau......I want to sit beside him and talk about life!! I hope the Remington Ridge series continues because I'm not sure I can go on if it doesn't. I feel like I'm a part of the family also. Caroline was his first love and Casey will be his last. I loved how she wanted to know Caroline and how accepting she was of her. How Garrett was so willing to share her with Casey! Garrett finally got his happy ending in the best possible way.
