The golden boy has secrets. I'm about to discover his biggest one.

Dante Spence. Quarterback. National champion. Star of the Alabama Lions. The smile on every billboard — charming, untouchable, worshipped.

I'm the dean's daughter. I can spot a performance from across a banquet hall.

The academic office assigned me as his tutor for one semester. It’s simple. He flirts. I ignore him. He passes. I walk away.

But I start noticing things.

The pill bottle in his bag with someone else's name on it. The phone call I wasn’t supposed to hear. The way his perfect smile disappears when he thinks no one’s watching.

Dante isn't the man on the billboard. He's ruthless. Reckless. Hiding something dangerous enough to destroy his career.

I should stay far away from him. I could ruin everything he’s built.
So why does he look at me like I’m his to own?

He’s not safe.
And the worst part . . .
I don’t want him to be.

This angsty, morally grey, sports romance is perfect for fans of Meagan Brandy, Chloe Walsh, Parker S. Huntington, Rosa Lucas, L.J Shen, Rebecca Jenshak, Nikki Lawson, Becka Mack.

I had a bit of a mixed experience with this one🥲
The premise immediately caught my attention, but the first half was a struggle for me before everything finally started clicking into place.

The beginning dragged quite a bit, and for a good chunk of the book I felt more confused than invested. The back-and-forth between Dante and Savannah started feeling repetitive, and I kept waiting for something that would make me really connect with them. I also found myself wanting more emotional depth from the characters because a lot of the time I felt pretty detached from what was happening. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That being said, the premise itself was strong enough to keep me reading. 🙂‍↕️ There were enough questions, secrets, and mysteries surrounding Dante that I wanted to know where everything was headed. 👀 Around the halfway mark, things started picking up for me and I found myself enjoying the story a lot more. 😌

One of my favorite parts ended up being the friendship between Noah, Dante, and Dustin. I loved seeing their bond develop throughout the book. And honestly, it was pretty entertaining watching Dante go from being the cocky, untouchable quarterback to the guy completely losing his mind because Savannah kept telling him no. Seeing that shift in their dynamic was a lot of fun.

Once I got past the first half, I was much more invested. The tension increased, more pieces of the mystery started falling into place, and the slow unraveling of everything kept my attention. The romance also got stronger as the story progressed, which definitely helped.

I will say, if you’re going into this expecting a morally gray MMC, I personally didn’t really see Dante that way. He definitely had secrets and made questionable choices, but he never felt truly morally gray to me.

This one ends on a slight cliffhanger, and while it wasn’t a standout read for me, I’m interested enough to see where the story goes next.

favorite quotes ↓

“She was more than pretty—pretty was an overused word, too small for what she was. Sunlight seemed to have been invented just to catch in her hair, every pale-gold strand bright enough to burn if you looked too long.”

“This was supposed to be my whole world. Football. Winning. Everything else was just noise.
Now there was her.”

“I wanted her. Like I wanted the weight of the ball in my hands with the game on the line.”

It’s been months since i read a couple that have zero chemistry and the romance is so low here. I roll my eyes so many times in so many scenes here cause that’s how boring it is… Not only it’s boring, but the couple like even when they both talked it’s so toxic even. It sounds so toxic…

And the worst part is that the heroine is sassy but have low self respect for herself that she allow the hero to insult her so many times. She’s definitely a doormat heroine, my worst nightmare is a doormat woman. Many times she let the hero insult her and she just doesn’t say much about it, like wtf?

The hero is also a world class manchild. Yes, a manchild. It’s like he have two different personalities and even myself confused about him so many times cause how stupid the hero here 😓
One minute he wants the heroine and then he doesn’t want the heroine to be with him or to get close to him. But then when his alone, he thinks about the heroine way too much and is claimed to be obsessed with her. BUT THEN WHEN HE MEETS HER, HE SO RUDE TO HER AND EVEN HIS WORDS TO HER ARE SO STUPID!!!
He always mocked her, tease her not in a fun way, rude and always disrespectful to her… I lost how many times the arguments they have is so stupid, childish and unnecessary.

This is a slow burn romance from enemies to lovers. But damn the slow burn it’s so freakin childish 😭😭 It’s hurting my eyes…

I rather read dean and allie love story in off campus book than this book right here 😓 At least dean respects and have amazing chemistry romance with allie that i can definitely feel it… And most of the conversation is really mature adults liking and then loving each other… Not bickering like children 🫠

One time there was this cheerleader was saying hi to the hero in front of the heroine (this is when they kinda like dating but not officially yet) and then that woman was mocking the heroine, the hero didn’t do anything. He just told her to go have fun and not defending the heroine even for a bit… So yeah that made me super clear that this hero is definitely a manchild.

If characters is gonna be this childish, at least made the relationship and romance amazing tho🥲 Not boring af and low chemistry like this…

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OVER THE TOP FAMOUS QB FOOTBALL PLAYER with a major angry issues and childish behavior. THE HEROINE is smart a class student with her father being the dean at school, she’s introvert like the hero but many times she is really low on discipline herself and low self respect… Both didn’t talked about being celibate or what because they didn’t even talked about it… No virgins. No cheating. It has separation but both didn’t go to anyone else. MANY TIMES the hero throw insult at her, she brush it off and never mentioned it again or make the hero realizes it or telling him to apologize NOOO… Thats why i know the heroine here is pathetic 😐

Happy ending. I guess. The hero only said that the heroine will be his wife but only that tho, nothing more.

⚡️⚡️⚡️THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW. Even if you hate my review i still say thank you so much cause you spend your time reading this one👻 I’m not a professional reviewer or professional reader. I’m just someone who likes to read novels that is safe and no cheating whatsoever. And many more that i like lol😆 I DID NOT GET PAID TO DO THIS. This is just basically me writing my review based on my personal opinion about the book if it’s safe or what I will write it all down just the way i like it 😏 I realize that my review might come across as pretty direct, and I don't claim to be a professional writer since I'm just sharing my own thoughts. If you find any negativity in what I've said about the book, just remember that we all have different perspectives. What I think doesn't have to align with your views. We all have our own preferences when it comes to books, just like we each have our unique perspectives. You can’t dictate what I should say in my review, and I shouldn’t tell you what to think either… I WILL NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT AND I WON’T EVER REPLIED TO IT. If you still don’t like what i write and my disclaimer here, IT’S A YOU PROBLEM. NOT MINE😙 HAVE A GREAT DAY❤️❤️❤️

If you read my reviews, you'll see they're pretty straightforward because I like to share a lot of details. When I really enjoy a book and write an extensive review, it means I truly love it 😍 that's just how I express my passion for things I care about. Just so you know, I'm not getting paid for any of this.

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

My Initial Thoughts
I read this with Zooloos Book Tours, having discovered Eve's writing through this way with the Ruthless Devils series. I went in blind not knowing anything more than it involves American Football, which i of course, have absolutely no idea about. I also really love the cover! But with a dedication like this "For the readers who like their heroes a little reckless, their loyalty unbreakable, and their love stories hard-won. This one’s for you."
I knew id enjoy the read.

Plot
I think the plot was good, at times tho quite slow moving and I honestly dont think it needed to be 431 pages long.

Characters I really liked the characters and the side characters that was Noah and Dustin. I think Dante had his possessive side, most  certainly when it comes to Savannah. At times Savannah, really frustrated me with her need to be getting everything right by daddy dearest and not wanting to do her own thing. But saying that I felt her character developed towards the latter end of the book making me warm to her more. But let's give an honourable mention too Noah. I simply just cannot wait for his book..

Recommend
Yes, if you enjoy college with sports romance, this could be the start of a new series for you.

Favourite Quotes
“Listen to me, what affects you affects me. What hurts you, hurts me."

“I could be bossy, and have you on your knees—” “I’m already on my knees for you, Sav.”

"What’s the label?” I asked him playfully. “Property of Dante Spence?”

Favourite Chapter/s
My favourite chapters were 12,20 and 27.

Spicy Chapter/s
There is Spice in chapters 19,22,32 and 34.

Summed up in one sentence
Quarterback finds the nerdy of limits girl and the rest is history.

Overall Wrap up
I did enjoy this one and I like the mention of other characters from the Ruthless Devils  series, but I found it more longer than it needed to be, and at times it was more draining to pick up and I was putting it down more often than not.
I enjoyed the characters, the promise of a new series and the new university that they're in. I'm excited to see where the next book goes, especially after the epilogue and the cliff hanger drop that was left there.

I am a big fan of sports romance add in collage and the drama that follows and I am so down for it.

Told in a dual POV, Savannah and Dante’s, we’re taken on a ride to the dark side of collage. One filled with drugs blackmail and so much more. Dante has his demons, he’s fighting them every day but he fights harder to keep them to himself. Savannah is doing her best at collage and tutoring on the side so she can keep her dad happy and her hobby a secret. When she’s asked to tutor Dante neither of them realise the ride they’re about to go on.

I liked both characters but they both had their faults.

Dante at the beginning, l seemed like an awful person to be around but the author definitely redeemed him. There’s so much more underneath his shitty attitude and cockiness. He’s a family man and a sucker for his best friends, he’ll do anything and everything for them. I loved his relationship with Noah and Dustin, I loved that they all had each others back.

Savannah was great but she didn’t seem to have a backbone when it comes to the men in her life. She would just let them say whatever they wanted to her and never fought back which sucked because she seemed so sassy and fierce otherwise but I loved her anyway. I loved her passion for her art and how she wouldn’t stop doing what she loves.

I love that the author manages to invoke many feelings out of me whilst reading this one, that right there is a massive sign that the book is good. I love feeling all the feels.

This author is new to me and I can’t wait to read more in the future.

Such a good start to a new series. I love this college sports/dark academia themes and Eve knows how to do it perfectly. Dante is the hotheaded quarterback and Savannah is the deans daughter. Their banter and connection was good of course but what they are messed up in is what will keep me reading and pining for the next book. The blackmail and underhanded things happening in college sports in this world is crazy and I need to know more. Also - Hadley??? I’m so in for book 2.

Here is my review for Forever Reckless by Eve L Mitchell

I thoroughly loved reading this addictive, opposites attract, enemies to lovers sports romance that had me on tenterhooks all the way through. I found I was so engrossed in this story that I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough or put it down. Dante Spence was the golden boy on the field but he needed tutoring in one of his subjects. It turned out his tutor was Savannah Cole. He tried his charm on her but it didn't work and their hour lesson was soon over. She had access to his full academic file so she knew he could get the grades. After one short lesson, she overheard him on a phone call and realised that he had a secret but she wasn't quick enough getting away as he saw her turning the corner and followed her to her art shed where she could lose herself. So he knew she had a secret too. He waits for her to say something about the conversation she overheard and takes it from there. They agree on a strategy going forward which he immediately breaks that night by going to a bar with his roommates. She messages him as soon as she finds out and he gives her an explanation. There is an attraction between them and it was heightened at the fundraiser event they both had to attend with some team members. The two of them couldn’t keep their eyes off each other all night and followed each other around the room with their eyes, it was obvious to everyone! Will something happen between Dante and Savannah? Will she find out more about the conversation he was having?

This was a brilliantly written sports romance story bordering on will they or won't they get together as they are different but so attracted to each other. The story was written from two povs, ‘Dante’ and ‘Savannah’. These types of stories I really love reading as they seem to give more insight to the story. Dante and Savannah were great characters, really well written, extremely well thought out and superbly dressed. The story was superbly plotted and extremely well thought out. I'm really looking forward to reading more books in this new series.

sorry, still trying to get over the part where he bought his sister a vibrator??? ("oh but we're close" oh shut the hell up. weirdo.)

hoo boy... where do i even start? in fact, i'm not even sure i want to talk about it. let me just say: i picked this book up while i was supposed to be studying... i went back to studying instead. make of that what you will. 2/5.

firstly, this book just felt very stereotypical. at every turn, you knew exactly what was happening next. imagine the most cliche (if you read wattpad back in the day, you've probably read this story no less than 500 times) new adult, football player x nerdy art girl story you can think of, and you've basically got this book. yeah, the author tried to do something mysterious and different with dante, but come on... two seconds of thinking would've solved that "mystery". honestly, i didn't really see the "angst" either, and considering how overdone this trope is, the whole forbidden pull thing didn't feel too... idk, shocking??? suspenseful??? high-stakes??? anyways.

as for the characters, i never really grew to like dante, and after he basically just wrote his sister's dwi off (not to mention the vibrator thing...), i knew there was no chance of that happening at all. savannah was just ok. i don't believe i ever really connected with either of them though, and i still don't feel the relationship between them is romantic vs just lusty. how did they grow to fall in love? i don't know, i feel like they just fell into bed together. frankly, i would've preferred savvy with noah. at least he seems to have some sort of morals (i understand addiction is hard. however, i genuinely draw the hardest line at dui/dwi. like i don't care what your reasoning is for it, it's never okay).

the writing is... well i guess depends on what your standard is. i thought it was pretty awful. shallowness is literally the least of its crimes. my biggest problem was the fact it felt it was written for a really young audience. i get it, people are... not too literate... nowadays, but you can use some more complex sentences??? what's your target audience, kindergarteners??? i'm not sure how the publishing industry views the genre "new adult", but personally, i feel like new adult should refer to content AND writing.

tldr? think wattpad.

overall, just rather disappointed. i went into this rather exceited about dante's mystery, and everything just kind of fell flat. if you're a fan of elle kennedy and such, you'll probably like this.

Right, pull up a chair and let me tell you about my latest read, because this one has been living in my head rent-free since I turned the final page. Forever Reckless by Eve L. Mitchell came my way through Zooloos Book Tours, and I'll be the first to admit it's a little different from my usual picks. But honestly? Sometimes different is exactly what you need.

You know the type of book I mean, don't you? That delicious new adult sports college romance where the golden boy on campus turns out to be far more complicated than his billboard smile suggests. Eve L. Mitchell has taken everything we love about the genre, the tension, the forbidden pull, the slow unravelling of carefully built walls and wrapped it around a story with real bite to it.

Our hero, Dante Spence, is the kind of man who looks like he has it all. Quarterback. National champion. Star of the Alabama Lions. The sort of charming, untouchable presence that fills every billboard and every room he walks into. But Savannah, the dean's daughter and his reluctant tutor for the semester is far too sharp to be taken in by a performance. And a performance, she soon realises, is precisely what Dante has been giving everyone around him.

What I loved most about this book is the slow, satisfying peel of Dante's carefully constructed armour. The pill bottle with the wrong name on it. The phone call Savannah wasn't meant to hear. The way that golden smile simply vanishes when he thinks no one is looking. Eve Mitchell builds the suspense quietly and cleverly, threading it through the romance so that you're never quite sure whether to root for these two or shake them both by the shoulders. Dante is morally grey in the most compelling way ruthless and reckless, yes, but also deeply human beneath all of it.

And Savannah is no pushover. She knows the rules. She knows what's at stake for her own reputation and her father's position. She knows she should walk away. The fact that she can't that she doesn't want to is what makes this story so thoroughly readable. Their enemies-to-lovers slow burn had me completely in its grip.

If you're a fan of Daniela Romero, Ana Huang, or Peyton Corrine , this one will absolutely hit the spot. It's angsty and atmospheric, romantic and dangerous in equal measure. I raced through it in a sitting and a half, which is basically the highest praise I can give anything.

4.5stars---FOREVER RECKLESS is the first instalment in Eve L Mitchell’s contemporary, new adult FOURTH AND FOREVER football erotic, romance series. This is college junior, quarterback for the Alabama Lions Dante Spence, and Dean Cole’s daughter Savannah Cole’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Dante and Savannah) FOREVER RECKLESS focuses on the darker side of collegiate sports. Dante Spence is the star quarterback for the Alabama Lions but Dante is struggling with shoulder pain, and faltering grades, two things that threaten his future but when Dante is assigned a tutor, in the guise of Savannah Cole, the dean’s daughter, and a woman who is struggling with her father’s demands. As Dante continues to battle his demons, Savannah begins to fall for the man who will break her heart but Savannah is caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place, naïve to the reality of collegiate sports, and a pawn under her father’s control.

The world building focuses on the demands of college football, and the darker side of athletics. From morally grey and illegal legacy traditions, to the exploitation of players; sport vs academics, injuries (real or fake), painkillers and over training; ethical and questionable practices, gambling and betting, buyouts and payouts, donor boosters and benefactors, exploitation, predators, mentors, blackmail and demands.

The relationship between Savannah and Dante begins acrimoniously. Dante needs a tutor to help raise his marks but Savannah will become suspicious when she discovers it is all a ruse. Forced to work together, our couple will dance around their mutual attraction but the poison that is collegiate sports, threatens any chance for a happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, and sometimes questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to wide receiver Dustin Slater, Noah Matthews, Coach TJ Hembry, Coach Sutherland, Savannah’s parents Dean Maxwell Cole and Dr. Eliza Cole,as well as art professor Yates, and several donors, students, and players.

FOREVER RECKLESS is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is detailed, revealing and dramatic; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

As the Dean’s daughter, Savannah has always been the perfect student, maintaining perfect grades in the major her father chose, and accompanying him to all the school functions. When she’s asked to tutor one of the football players, her father asks her to keep a close eye on him, and report back on anything unusual. While initially reluctant to work with him, she begins to notice things about him that don’t add up, and knows he’s hiding something. But while she knows she should stay away, she can’t take her eyes off him.

Like all student athletes, Dante is on a full scholarship, doing everything he can to secure a spot in the NFL and give his family a better life. But something isn’t adding up on the team, or the athletic facilities, and he quickly learns that asking too many questions isn’t a good idea. While he doesn’t know whether or not he can trust Savannah, something about her becomes more of a distraction than he can afford, but he still can’t resist. But secrets have a way of coming out, and when they do, nothing will be the same.

I received an early copy of this book from NetGalley and I absolutely loved it! While I had gotten a glimpse of Dante in the Ruthless Devils series, I appreciated the chance to learn more about his story, and it was absolute perfection. Savvy and Dante may seem like a perfect case of opposites attract, but in reality, they are very similar. They’ve both been forced to keep their heads down and do what’s expected of them, but both have too much heart to allow injustice to continue, and are willing to give anything up to keep those they love safe. I love how after their initially horrible reactions to the truth, once they decided to trust each other, that trust was unconditional, as was their love. The more they uncovered together, the stronger they were, and it’s clear they will last, regardless of what comes next. I have to add that I love how while the author writes individual books for each couple, there’s always an overarching storyline that carries throughout the series, and I can’t wait to see how things will play out with this one.

When I downloaded this book, I thought I was getting a light college football romance like I’m used to. You know the ones, quiet smart tutor, arrogant playboy football player, tutoring sessions that turn into spicy sessions. What I got was much heavier. And not in a bad way! I don’t mean “heavy” in a angsty way, or emotionally triggering way, I mean in a good suspenseful, what is going on and what will happen way. There is a quiet tutor, Savannah, who happens to be the Dean’s daughter. There is an arrogant playboy football player, Dante, who is the quarterback. There are a few tutoring sessions and quite a few spicy sessions 🤭 but there is also a mystery that involves a lot of people and it is so good and interesting! I don’t think I’ve read this type of plot before. It definitely held my interest and kept making me want to read when I should’ve been doing other things 😆 I really enjoyed Dante’s friends and how they had his and Savannah’s back. I loved how jealous Dante was of Savvy and Noah’s friends even though there was no need to be - NO CHEATING- just misplaced jealousy. I didn’t really understand Savvy’s father. I get it that he’s the Dean, but why make your daughter attend all of the functions with you? He is perfectly fine with being in an open marriage with Savvy’s mom, but Savvy wearing jeans to class was an embarrassment? I wish Savvy had stood up to her father sooner but was happy that she finally did. The only negative thing I have to say about the book is the way it abruptly ended. The story didn’t really get a conclusion. I’m assuming that it continues with the next book, which will be about one of Dante’s friends, but Dante and Savvy’s story ended so abruptly that it wasn’t super clear. They got an HEA but there wasn’t a future epilogue so I’m hoping it’s a forever HEA. I really liked all of the characters, the pace of the plot and the writing itself. I look forward to the next book.

Forever Reckless follows Dante Spence, a famous college quarterback who looks perfect on the outside but is secretly struggling with dangerous problems behind closed doors. Savannah Cole is the dean’s daughter and Dante’s tutor. She is focused, stubborn, and completely unimpressed by his charm at first. What starts as teasing and tension slowly turns into something emotional, messy, and impossible to ignore. But Dante is hiding secrets that could ruin everything between them.
Okay so this book had me addicted from the very first chapter 😭💙
Dante Spence was literally everything I love in a sports romance hero. Cocky, protective, emotionally damaged, possessive & secretly so soft for Savannah. The way he slowly fell harder & harder for her had me smiling the entire time. His obsession and emotional moments were my favorite part of the whole book.
Savannah was also such a strong heroine. I loved that she never let Dante walk all over her. Their banter was SO good and the chemistry between them was insane. Every scene together felt intense and addictive.
The football atmosphere, the secrets, the emotional tension, the hidden struggles… everything kept me hooked. I also loved that the romance still felt emotional even with all the drama happening around them.
The confession scenes absolutely destroyed me. Dante being completely gone for Savannah was the cutest thing ever.
This book gave me tension, angst, romance, possessive vibes, and emotional moments all together and I loved every second of it.
Thank you zoolosbooktour & chockit for the ARC!

Forever Reckless by Eve L. Mitchell is the story of Savannah and Dante.

Savannah is the daughter of the Dean of the university that she and Dante attend. Dante is the star quarterback. Savannah is a sign to tutor Dante in a class that he is in danger of failing and the sparks fly between them, although they deny it for as long as they can…

This is a fast paced college romance with a bit of intrigue provided by grade tampering. I thought the characters were complex and well thought out, and that the storyline was engaging. It held my attention from beginning to end and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Mitchell.

🖤 Morally grey MMC
🖤 Sports Romance
🖤 Enemies to lovers
🖤 Opposites Attract
🖤 Forbidden love
🖤 Suspense

I'm reviewing this as part of a tour with Zooloo's Book Tours.

I recently heard about this author's books on social media and they sparked my interest, so I was excited about the opportunity to read this one.

This is the first in the Fourth and Forever series. I haven't actually read many sports romances, and they're something I've only dipped into fairly recently, but I figured that was another reason to give this one a try. Sometimes my bookish appetite gets bored with the same tastes and flavours, and I want to try something different.

When I started reading, I found there was something about the atmosphere and tone of the writing that felt motivating, and made me want to feel involved with what was going on. The MMC was Dante, and straight away, I noticed something about his presence on the page that made me want to pay attention to him. He seemed like someone that I might admire from afar rather than get to know, but I think that was part of the appeal.

The FMC was Savannah, and I really liked her as well. I liked the way she articulated herself to the reader, and I empathised with her a little bit. It seemed she had a reputation to live up to, and I wondered how she might develop as a character later on.

At first, the two characters had a chemistry that made me smile, and I wondered if it might develop into something more complicated later on, so I had to keep reading to find out.

This was a fun romantic read with likeable characters and a good side helping of spice. It left my bookish appetite craving a few more books like this.

Thank you to Zooloo's Book Tours, and to the author and publisher, for the opportunity to read and review this.

I always rate based on feels and vibes and this one shouted 3.75 at me. The reason? The plot was interesting, yet I wasn't emotionally connected to a single thing but maybe I'm just a spoiled brat when it comes to books.

First of, I loved the banter. Dante and Sav's connection was a constant push and pull with some very witty remarks on his part, LOVE that! While Dante is very fond of himself and not at all insecure, Sav is a little bit... rude actually. That might be because of her reputation at school but her rudeness was sometimes uncalled for and annoyed me at times. That does not change the fact that she can certainly hold her own and we love a woman who knows what she stands for.

There was definitely tension, although Dante's lust showed too early in the story for my personal liking. And that tension disappeared a bit in the second half of the book which slightly bummed me out.

Although I didn't connect emotionally with the characters, I think I liked Dante's character best. He was your typical jock to the outer world, but a total sweet pea on the inside. Somewhere in the last few chapters where he was totally honest about everything I changed my opinion of Dante. Where I first thought he wasn't sincere, that whole conversation made me see things differently. Totally loved the fact too that it was mentioned that he made her feel uncontrolled cause that was the whole point 😭

Honorary mention to Noah cause we like him and we want his book!

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for giving me the opportunity to read this arc. 🤍

Dante is the school’s star quarterback, while Savannah is the dean’s daughter and more focused on books than football.

When Savannah is assigned to tutor Dante to help keep his grades up, neither of them expects to uncover a major scandal. As they dig deeper, they discover the school has been manipulating exam results to make sure football players never fail. The more they investigate, the more secrets they uncover.

Working together to expose the truth brings them closer than either of them expected, and before long they realise they are uncovering more than corruption. They’re also developing feelings for each other.

I’ve been a fan of Eve L Mitchell’s writing ever since the Ruthless Devils series, and this book is just as good. I love that some of the characters are still intertwined between the two series.

One of my favourite things was seeing the side of Dante that not everyone gets to see. I also loved watching Savannah slowly become part of his friendship group, especially since she never really had one of her own. Noah and Dustin were great too, and I loved how protective they were of her.

Dante’s reactions whenever Savannah was involved had me smiling. Definitely the protective MMC we all love .

There was so much happening to keep me invested. I love how strong Sav is . She’s badass

That ending has definitely left me needing the next book as soon as possible.

I wish I were thinking the publisher and the author for sending me a physical copy.

I know I’m always honest with my review, so I will also be honest with this one, and to be honest, I was quite surprised when I read the reviews myself.

I really enjoyed this book however the plot felt like it was coming too slow.

Dante:
He was quite fun he didn’t have the possessive MMC vibes like dark romance books however he still still his ground and that was just what I loved. He was possessive but in a sweet way. He had some character development.
And he was quite funny.

Sav:
She had the biggest corrective development of them all. She’s smart she’s funny and she’s just her. There isn’t very much I can say about her.

Their chemistry felt fun and I really like their better sometime however their feelings from like hates and being just a tutor x students to romantic flirty was a little bit too fast for me however I get it (it cant be 500 pages). and I still like the way they are to put it all in a novel.

The plot line was quite fun and I love how it ended. However, the problem felt a little bit too slow and I had a feeling that sometimes they repeated the same plot just in different manners with different people.

All the side characters are quite fun as well, and I really really can’t wait to read (if he gets a book) noah his story.
And I already have hopes for who might be his law interest if she was in this novel. It would be Dante his sister.

The ending loved it and I really can’t wait for a second book.

A spicy romantic mystery on the university campus with a few twists.
This is the first in a new series from Mitchell and has tie-ins from her Ruthless Devils series.
It is centred around the star player of a college league football team and the college deans
daughter. Dante Spencer, the star of the league, has big aspirations to get into the National
League. To achieve his aim he must keep up his academic performance as well as staying
on top of his game. However his scoring at his minor subject is creeping down and he is in
danger of losing his place at college. Dante is assigned a tutor and mentor. Savannah or
Savy to her friends draws the short straw and reluctantly agrees to tutor Dante for one term.
She is the deans daughter and he is a domineering control freak and rules Savy relentlessly.
She wants to study fine arts but that is not good enough for Dean Cole, he also doesn’t
want her fraternising with football players! Dante and Savy meet and are strangely attracted
but their backgrounds hold them back and the antagonism between them wins. Both have
a dark secret and when each discover the weak point a truce develops allowing the
inevitable. Eve L Mitchell is a staunch NFL fan and an expert in the sport. This comes
through in her writing however like me you do not need to be a fan of any sport to
appreciate this hot romance! There are some great characters and a pretty good story line

Eek, I'm absolutely loving sports romances at the moment and this is the start of a new series that promises great sports romance alongside a great story.
American Football - not something I'm ever going to understand, but there is something about these college football players that's really intriguing!
Here we meet Dante, who we previously saw in the Saints series briefly as part of an opposing team, and it was great to properly understand him and meet some of the others in his football team, I've a particular fondness now for Noah and look forward to when he gets a leading story!
We also meet Savannah (a name I love by the way) who is such a complex character, I love her sass and determination. Seeing her really grow through this story is great.
When the spice kicks off here, it is HOT, but you've got to get halfway through the book to get to it, not even an illicit thought before that halfway point, so thats a little slower than I'd have liked.
The bigger story here about the sports teams and the schools secrets looks like its going to absolutely blow up, but I think seeing the story progress while hopefully getting to know some of the others a little better is going to be really interesting.
I really like this authors writing, I'm looking forward to exploring more through this series and others. This book absolutely flies, so if you like sports romances with a deep story and real characters, grab this one now!

Forever Reckless by Eve L. Mitchell is the first book in the Fourth and Forever series.

Savannah is the deans daughter and about to be QB10’s tutor, but Dante isn’t just another student, he’s everything she’s warned to stay away from.

Savannah and Dante’s story is a delicious slow burn. One that allowed for the characters to get to know each other, before either gave into their feelings and giving the reader so much insight into each of their lives. Love how opposite Sav and Dante are from each other, but at the same time they have similarities, that just builds on the banter and tension between the two.

Every moment in this book had me captivated, from the emotion, laughter, secrets, betrayals, friendships and romance. The story flowed so well and at no point was I left wondering what happened to x situation.

The friend dynamic, between Dante, Noah and Dustin was so fantastic. They balance each other really well. They aren’t just teammates and roommates, they were true friends. I’m hoping that there’s more to come from Noah and Dustin, as I really want to know more about their backstories - especially Noah. But I guess I’ll have to wait and see what’s next!

As someone who loves sports romance and morally grey MMC’s, Forever Reckless was perfection! Add in secrets, opposites attract, and a dash of forbidden romance, that just topped it off to be an addictive read.

❝Did you watch the game... or just me?❞

Forever Reckless - Eve L. Mitchell
★★★★☆

Utter definition of slow burn romance. And their dynamic??? I'm here for it. Love the banters, the pushes and pulls, the way that their relationship marinating slowly to the point us readers praying that it's time. Even after 50% in you still see them doubting their feeling. It could be a turn off, but personally i like it. I get to connect with the characters and their standing and thought process more. So it felt realistic I can truly see them as a person.

Love the mystery aka the scandal buried under the prestigious Wrighton University which involving so many higher ups and unexpected important parties. It kept me engaged aside from the romance. Well i thought it would be done in this book, but then i guess we'll still be wondering about it in the next book. Long story short, this is an ACTUAL book series not an interconnected standalones. No complain, just find it surprising.

I'm new to the author and this book made me wanting to read more from her. Can't wait to read Dustin's story and see how the scandal's going!

*Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review. Appreciate it!

4.25 stars for me.

Savannah, the perfect student and dean's daughter have to tutor Dante Spence, quarterback and the Star of the Alabama Lions. It should be easy, but when she heard a phone conversation that was not for her ears, this tutoring get more complicated than she ever imagined.Fighting attraction and some shady dealings at the college it's only a beginning of the problrms she had to face.

Will Savannah uncover what is really hapening with athletes grades?

Great sport romance full of tension, banter and spice.I liked both characters, their chemistry and banter was fun,but both also deal with so much more than school and life.At the beginning it was not clear for me if I would like Dante,he did grow on me and I really like his friends, they are the best and have his back no matter what. The added secrets and a little bit of mystery was perfect touch to get me intersted, and I hope through the next books I get to know more.Great new adult read with tension, can't wait for the next book.

Would recommend this book for sport romance with some mystery fans.

Thank you Joffe Books and author for arc,my review is honest and my own.

Forever Reckless is an opposites attract sports romance. Dante Spence, our MMC, is the star quarterback of the Alabama Lions. He has that winning smile, that easy charm that seems to open every door. Savannah, our FMC, is the dean's daughter and is charged with tutoring Dante. She isn't too excited about this, but does what her father wants anyway. Savannah can see through Dante's Golden Boy act. She begins to notice several things that seem odd. She knows she should leave it alone, but for some reason, she just can't. She feels drawn to Dante, even though she shouldn't be. Dante falls for Savannah, ever so slowly. The slow burn in this one is fire!

Overall, I liked the book. It was medium to fast-paced. There was just the right amount of tension, angst, romance, and possessive vibes. It was surprisingly emotional in places. I was happy to see Savannah standing up to her father when it finally happened. There is also a mystery here to keep you guessing. There is plenty to keep you hooked! Thank you to Zooloo's Book Tours and the author for the review copy. All opinions are my own.

Dante Spence is the leading player for the Alabama Lions. As the team’s quarterback, he’s led the team to national championships. Savannah is the dean’s daughter at their university. She is assigned to tutor him for one of the courses in order to be able to graduate.

In their sessions, she continues to learn more about Dante and how he is unlike the public persona. There are mysterious behaviors. She tries to decipher more about him.

At first they also seem like complete opposites, from two different worlds. But they continue to see over the course of the novel how they are drawn to each other and how powerful their connection is. They both are trying to navigate the expectations placed upon them whether in sports, academia, but also life. It’s a foundation of what brings them both together.

I thought the build of their relationship over the course of the novel is well paced. There’s a build that is suspenseful. The build showcases their chemistry, the banter between them, and how the secrets they have are revealed. We the readers are drawn in to their story.

I look forward to reading the next book!

5 Stars … I couldn’t out this book down!

I was expecting the usual college romance, but this book was so much more. The author did not sugarcoat university life, at all … especially the way the athletes were treated. Even though Dante was arrogant, he did have his vulnerabilities … the people he loved. And Savannah tried to be the Dean’s perfect daughter, but all she was doing was killing her spirit slowly. Even though this is Dante and Savannah‘s story, there is a separate storyline that continues into the next book. And that book can’t come soon enough!

Dante is the QB of his Alabama university’s football team … who won the nationals last year. He has a shoulder injury that ends up threatening his position on the team. Savannah is the Dean’s daughter who tutors students in the spare time she doesn’t have … but does so at her father’s request. When she becomes Dante’s tutor … well let’s just say that opposite do attract.

Thank you to Choc Lit and Eve L Mitchell for the chance of reading this ARC.

Dean's daughter meets the "golden boy" quarterback.

I feel like the constant reminder of her being the dean's daughter was a little overkill but I did like the chemistry between the FMC and MMC. It was kind of a good girl meets a bad boy but turns out the bad boy really isn't bad at all.

I do think this was really enjoyable, the story flows well, it's really great writing and definitely makes me want to read more from this author.

There was a LOT of miscommunication between the characters in the book which causes a lot of twists in the story, I really enjoyed the investigation side of the story and the impact the MMC has on the FMCs life.

Really great book, would definitely recommend!

This is the first book in the Fourth And Forever series - a new and exciting series by an author I have loved reading over the past year.

Now, I absolutely love me a good girl, bad boy romance and it's pretty obvious the way things could work out for this pair.

Savannah, the dean's daughter and perfect choice to help tutor the star quarterback who is struggling.

But Dante is cocky and treats Savannah like she's already his!

I really loved this premise though and as the story unfolds and we see that Dante isn't all that he shows the world, I really felt for him and rooted for Savannah to be able to help and reach him in ways he wasn't expecting.

I loved our main characters and the way that they developed both personally and as a couple through the book, but I'm not a huge fan of miscommunication - I mean, it worked well here but I get so frustrated and want to shake them - I guess it's good that it makes me feel so much.

Anyway, the miscommunication does create some tense moments and the story twists and turns.

I absolutely expected this to be like the Ruthless Devils series and to end on a cliffhanger, so it didn't completely shock me, but I was still left hanging at the end and had to just take a minute.

I can't wait to see how things develop through the series and will be waiting (maybe not so) patiently for book 2 to arrive .....

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

2.5. I had mixed feelings about this one. I actually thought the non-romance plot was pretty unique and interesting, and there were definitely parts of the story I enjoyed.

That said, the writing itself really held me back from fully connecting with the story. The writing often felt robotic: repetitive, mechanical, and lacking emotional depth, which made the whole story feel underdeveloped at times. The use of this artificially feeling writing always drags me out of a story.

Overall, I enjoyed aspects of the story, but the writing ultimately lowered the experience for me significantly.

Dante Spence is a national champion quarterback, seen as charming, untouchable and worshipped. Savannah Cole is the Dean’s daughter who is assigned as his tutor. When Savannah notices a pill bottle in Dante’s bag with someone else’s name on it and hears a phone call she wasn’t meant to, she wonders what is Dante hiding? Savannah knows she should stay away from him, but she can’t…

This was a great enemies to lovers book, where you could sense the tension from the first meeting. This wasn’t just your typical romance book though, there was a bit of mystery which had you guessing what was going on. Savannah’s character was really well written, with her trying to be the perfect daughter for her father and we find out more about her relationship with her mother. Dante’s life isn’t as straight forward either and highlights that we never know what someone else is going through. This book ends on a cliffhanger so I will definitely be reading book two to find out what happens next!

Spicy college/sports romance with a background of wheeler dealings at the highest levels. Loved both main characters , the star quarter back and the Deans daughter tasked with tutoring him to a better grade.
He just wants to make the big league in pro football to help his family but discovers theres a cost to that.
She wants to be a sculptor but Daddy dearest wants her to be more than that and definitely not hooked up to a football player.
As this story unwinds with the dirty secrets coming out they have to keep their relationship under wraps and dodge the threats to their futures along the way.
From the author of the Cardinal Saints series. Roll on Fourth & forever 2.
