About the author

USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.

Great start to a new serial series!

I love the serial type stories. Sometimes I just like a short read rather than a whole novel. They also give me something new to look forward to each month. I've read all the other serials by Stephanie and look forward to all of the new ones. Jury Woman is a peek into the life of Isabelle after being called for jury duty. Most people dread that envelope in the mail but not her. She feels it is her civic duty... her family... not so much. Newly divorced, conceited ex-husband and two kids who have no respect for her and who are in for a rude awakening, Isabelle is looking forward to being called to be on the jury. I can't wait for the next installment next month to find out what happens.

Serial or binge read, it's still great

I admit to being a huge fan of Ms. Bond's serials. I've yet to not follow one , and this one has a great start!

There's a newly divorced woman with 2 teenagers who gets called for jury duty. A lot of the book is involved with her having to show up again and again for questions. The case will involve a major figure who very obviously a nasty gangster-type person.

Her kids, by the way, are spoiled rotten.

She understands that if she would be chosen there would be problems about her ex-husband taking care of her kids while she is on jury duty so she's hoping she's not picked.

I've read a bunch of her books and I just don't like this one very much. It doesn't seem to be as interesting as other books she's written.

Stephanie has a way of writing that makes you

Develop a relationship, with pro or con, with her characters. Rarely can an author achieve that so Quickly.

I relate to Isabel, even though I don't have children, and have been married for over half a century. The slow understanding that she has been taking her life for granted as her husband and children have been doing for years. And finally realizing that it wasn't as healthy as she had been telling herself it was.

I am looking forward to seeing what Isabel does with this new opportunity to redefine herself TO herself, and maybe to her family.

And enjoyable and easy read

This is an interesting story from the view of a recently divorced mother of two teenagers who felt she had lost her own identity in her marriage and role as a stay-at-home mother. This first book takes the reader through her experience as a potential juror for an important trial. Due to the nature of the criminal, the jury will be sequestered for 6 months. She is excited to expand on her boring life and have a moment away from her entitled kids and annoying ex-husband. I have only read the first of the six installments so far, but am invested in the entire series.

This was not one of my favorite daily serials. Isabel just went through a divorce and is called for jury duty. The book is mostly about being called back day by day for questioning. The pace of the book was slow, but did have some good moments.

I did not really click with any of the characters. The kids are brats, the ex husband talks down to Isabel all the time. Isabel so far is a flat character. This can change with next book so fingers crossed Aug release moves faster.

I think the book has potential once the trial starts.

Jury Woman is Stephanie Bond's new daily serial. This is the first novella which takes place in July and the other books continue through December. Each day a little of the story unfolds. It is a fun format. This is a romantic mystery. Isabel is newly divorced with two teenagers. Her life centers around them and she doesn't have any interests of her own except knitting. This book focuses on Isabel's life and the jury process. The case she is selected for means being sequestered for 6 months! Stay tuned for life as a juror in part 2!

Great start

I have read, I think all Stephanie Bonds books. So I’ve been following her for years!
I enjoy these 6 book series, something to look forward to.
Yes growing from Girl to Woman is a good move.
Finished 1st book, not disappointed. Looking forward to all the changes and let’s say awakenings to come.

Love and Hate These Serial Books!

I loved it because I couldn’t put it down—but I hated it because now I have to wait for the next installment! Stephanie Bond has me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see what happens next. The characters are fantastic, the storyline is gripping, and the suspense keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Relatable

I appreciate the fact that this book is from the perspective of a mother who's life didn't turn out the way she expected. I found the character very relatable, and the story line was intriguing. I am looking forward to the next book.

New daily serial for July1-December 31, 2026. I’ve read all of the serials for the last 10 years daily. At first, I wasn’t sure I’d like that structure. But over time, I learned to keep notes of the characters, clues, hints dropped, etc. Then when they reappeared or some new clue was added, I could make the connections. They have all been very satisfying stories.

I don’t know about this one. But, I’ve had similar feelings of ambivalence about other ones in the beginning when I didn’t connect with the main character and always came around part way through, so I’ll hang in there.
