Healing You
I just got wheeled into the ER, and the surgeon who walked in is the same man I spent the night with two months ago.
I was born mute, so everything they need from me I have to write down by hand.
An hour ago I slipped on the wet stairs in my building, and now something in my left side is broken.
The curtain pulled back, and the second he saw my face, he froze.
He's watching me shake and cry without a sound, gripping the rail every time I breathe.
He set the chart down, took my hand in his,
"Squeeze my hand when it hurts, okay."
Just then a nurse pushed through the curtain, reading off her clipboard.
"Her test came back positive, doctor. She's about seven weeks along."

Healing You
What a wonderful story about how these two people meet. After having an audition, not getting the part, doing a dating app, someone answering who you actually connect with! Yes, what are the chances, but later on after said one night stand, having an unfortunate accident, you meet this person in the hospital. Seriously, what a coincidence, a true meant to be,or fluke? This story has romance, heartbreak, sadness and anger and true happiness when you think only the worst thing could happen. Great story.

This isn't the usual 'romance' with insta-lust, hot bedroom scenes, etc. It is deeply emotionally and intimate though. They are together in an almost closed door way. I like the medical settings and characters in these stories. The medical setting feels real. There's good representation for the condition of being mute.
This is an excellent story. Great writing, banter that made me laugh. Connor and Sarah from Saving You (#1 in this series) make appearances because they are good friends with Joseph. Millie has a unique health condition; she's mute. Joseph isn't fazed at all and they have great conversations. I love these characters.
The author doesn't make a big deal about it at all, which I like, but Joseph is Chinese (unlike the nice cover photo).
At 80% or so, the big plot twist was dramatic but almost over too quickly; then the story is over.

Joseph and Millie.
I’m loving this new-to-me author and this series. Joseph is an easy going, upbeat orthopedic surgeon. Millie is an accomplished violinist with no voice. Mute since birth. When her dream of being first chair in the orchestra are lost, she opens a dating app to get her mind off it. That is how she meets Joseph for the first time. They hit it off right away. But a one night stand leads to more than either expected. I loved this story as much as the first one in the series and these two characters were great. I love their honesty and openness with each other and how they confront the challenges they face. This is definitely an author I will read more of in the future.

This is a clean but emotional love story. The “class clown” of the doctor’s at the hospital, Joseph has had a complicated home life forever. We get to witness that near the end.
Millie is mute, not deaf. But she’s been made to feel less than her whole life, starting with her own parents.
They meet. They connect. He’s patient when she needs to type to speak to him. Most people just plow forward in conversation and Millie gets left behind.
She gets pregnant. He steps up.
Quite a bit of drama in the third act. But it gets solved.
They really do belong together.

Heartfelt and compelling
This is my second book by this author. I devoured the previous book in this series and immediately jumped into Healing You.
I loved the premise and both Millie and Joseph. Millie has always been made to feel less than because she cannot speak. This book weaves a beautiful journey where she discovers she doesn’t have to have a voice to be heard and loved.
I picked up on a few timeline inconsistencies randomly throughout, that could have been edited better. The overall flow and plot of the book was great though and I look forward to more from this author.

This was a story that I can say held me me to the very end. Millie and Joseph have a connection and Their relationship is tested but nothing easy if its meant to be. You do get some twist and turns but so worth the read.

Wow! Very twisted story
This story starts with a bang and keeps on banging away. Very interesting twist on the plot, so it keeps you interested throughout the story.
