About the author

Weldon Burge is the author of the Ezekiel Marrs thriller series published by Smart Rhino Publications. HARVESTER OF SORROW is the first novel in the series. He is also the author of the Justsion & Masters Paranormal Thriller series; the first edition is ENTER VENGEANCE. Many of his short stories have been published in TOXIC CANDY: TALES OF SUSPENSE, FANTASY, & HORROR and BROKEN: STORIES OF DAMAGED PSYCHES.

Weldon is also a freelance writer and publisher. His fiction has appeared in many publications, including various magazines and anthologies (Crimeucopia, The Best of the Horror Society 2013, Pellucid Lunacy: An Anthology of Psychological Horror, Ghosts and Demons, just to name a few). His stories have also been adapted for podcast presentation by Drabblecast. He was a frequent writer for Suspense Magazine, often writing author interviews.

In 2012, Weldon and his wife, Cindy, founded Smart Rhino Publications, an indie publishing company focusing primarily on horror and suspense/thriller books. To date, the company has published 17 books, primarily anthologies.

Have you ever admired a really well made watch? It ticks in all the right places, the gears fit together and the craftsmanship shines through.
A paranormal police procedural is not something I’d usually gravitate toward, but in reading Enter Vengeance, I feel like I was handed a really well made watch. The craftsmanship and the care shine on every page. Detective Rex Justison brings the smart, honorable police procedural, while clairvoyant Alicia Masters keeps the paranormal mystery ticking. Their chemistry and shared history makes the reader care, even as the stakes rise and the mystery deepens. Read Enter Vengeance for the mystery and the care that went into it…and show some admiration for the craftsman who made it.

An intriguing mix of police procedure and paranormal, Enter Vengeance features a police detective and a psychic grappling with wildly different beliefs about the paranormal, even when it gets results. What starts as intrigue ratchets up to nail-biting suspense as psychic forces work their way toward a literal fight to the death. Raising the question of how much we really know about the inexplicable truths we ascribe to deities or luck.

From beginning to end the story/writing grabs hold. Enter Vengeance is one book you just don't want to put down. The sharp turn from police procedural to paranormal suspense is done with seamless precision. And Justison and Masters are an engaging pair with complicated histories that add an emotional layer to an increasing bizzare investigation. If you haven't read Weldon Burge before, you're really missing out! Highly recommend.
