The Verdict: A Riveting, High-Stakes Masterpiece

There is something uniquely magnetic about J.M. Snap’s world-building. With every installment of the Celestial Series, she manages to construct plots that keep me consistently riveted, constantly guessing, and perpetually on the edge of my seat. The Vampire’s Bride is no exception! It is a breathless addition to a series that has become a "must-read" for fans of high-stakes supernatural drama.

The Plot: Duty vs. Destiny

In Book 4, we follow Lucie, the daughter of the werewolf king and queen. Her life has never truly been her own; she is the living bridge between two worlds, destined to marry the vampire prince, Derrick, to solidify an essential alliance. Lucie has done the impossible: she has made peace with her sacrifice and buried her own dreams for the sake of her people.

However, Lucie thrives in the chaos. When an ancient enemy resurfaces and shatters the fragile peace, Lucie is thrown into a whirlwind of revelation. In the midst of the carnage, she discovers her fated mate - the one person her soul recognizes, and the one man she is forbidden to have.

The Emotional Core

What makes this novel stand out is the exquisite execution of angst and longing. Snap balances the external threat of war with the internal agony of an impossible choice:

The Bond: An ancient, undeniable pull toward a soulmate.
The Crown: The survival of two kingdoms that depend entirely on her political marriage.

The writing is so immersive that the outside world simply ceases to exist. Snap’s prose flows with such ease that her books are never a "task" to complete; they are experiences you fall into and stay in until the very last page.

Series Synergy

It is important to note that The Vampire’s Bride is not recommended as a standalone. The Celestial Series is a complex tapestry where each story is intricately intertwined. This installment masterfully ties up existing threads while paving a clear, tantalizing path for the next chapter in the saga.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a story that combines top-tier world-building with heart-wrenching romantic tension, J.M. Snap has delivered exactly what you need.

Prepare to lose sleep- you won't want to put this one down.

Always forget how much I love this world. JM never disappoints. The world building is fantastic and the characters are always lovable and relatable in some way. Lucie and Derrick’s story is no different. Definitely worth the read.

I once again really enjoyed the writing here. There were a few parts that felt a bit lagging, but overall, this book is true to the author's form, creating an entire world you can step into and want to stay. I love the way the characters' chemistry is palpable. I couldn't help the actual laughing coming out at times, and the emotional rollercoaster Lucie goes on makes me bleed for her, too. Exceptional writing and plot.

As someone who has followed the Celestial series from the beginning, getting Lucie and Derrick's story felt like finally reaching a moment that had been building for books.
Lucie has spent her entire life knowing her future was already planned. Before she was even born, she was promised to Derrick, the Vampire Prince, and she's grown up carrying the weight of that promise. Watching her navigate a future that was chosen for her while discovering who she is and what she truly wants made her story impossible not to become invested in.
Being Hunter and Freya's daughter, Lucie already had big shoes to fill, and I loved seeing the next generation step into the spotlight. There was something special about revisiting characters I've grown attached to throughout the series while watching their children forge paths of their own.
Derrick was everything I hoped he would be. As the Vampire Prince, he carries his own responsibilities and expectations, and I loved seeing more of the man behind the title. The chemistry between him and Lucie was there from the start, but what kept me hooked was watching their relationship grow beyond the arrangement that had defined their lives for so long.
One thing J.M. Snap consistently does well is balancing romance with world-building. The supernatural politics, family bonds, and ongoing connections between characters make this world feel alive and interconnected. Every book adds another layer, and The Vampire's Bride was no exception.
For longtime readers of the Celestial series, this one feels especially rewarding. We've known about Lucie and Derrick for a while, and finally getting their story was emotional, satisfying, and absolutely worth the wait.
Now I'm left with that familiar feeling of finishing a book and immediately wanting the next one.

In the fourth book of JM's remarkable Celestial Series, readers are treated to the intense and captivating journey of Lucie. Born to Hunter and Freya, Lucie's life was predetermined by a pre-birth betrothal to the vampire prince, a political move intended to maintain peace between their respective realms. Although she initially embraced her future as a child, the prince, Derrick, grew increasingly distant during their teenage years, leaving Lucie to feel profoundly lonely as she observed her friends exploring the joys of youth.

The narrative takes a turn when Lucie, supported by her guardian and closest friend Jasper, meets her true mate. Caught between her obligations and her heart, she initially attempts to reject this new connection to remain faithful to her engagement. In a stunning revelation, it is discovered that her mate, Ryan, is actually Prince Derrick in disguise, a twist that finally resolves her inner turmoil. However, their happiness is quickly threatened by the malicious Beryl, who seeks to ruin the family, and escalating dangers from within the vampire kingdom.

The couple's path is a high-stakes adventure fraught with peril; Lucie survives a kidnapping, discovers she is expecting a child, and tragically loses her lycan during a turbulent mission with Aiden. Aided by surprising allies such as Abe (Abass), Lucie and Derrick remain steadfast in their commitment to one another. This emotional rollercoaster of a book—which will leave you both laughing and weeping—masterfully explores their family's growth and defence. Building on the momentum of the previous three instalments, this highly recommended series remains truly exceptional.

I can’t wait for the next instalment in the series.

I received an ARC of this book from the author JM Snap and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was NOT expecting a redemption arc from that character. I genuinely hated them from previous books and never thought I’d end up feeling so emotional over them. Yet somehow this book completely wrecked me — I cried so much over their journey. It was one of my favorite aspects of the story, and I really hope we get to see more of them throughout the interconnected books because I am fully invested now.

Lucie absolutely broke my heart. She’s strong, resilient, and carrying the weight of an entire treaty on her shoulders, yet all she truly wants is to be loved. Torn between an arranged marriage meant to uphold peace between two species and the overwhelming pull of her fated mate, Lucie is constantly forced to choose duty over her own happiness. Watching her struggle while seeing everyone around her get the love and devotion she longs for was heartbreaking.

And just when you think she might finally catch a break, fate throws another punch her way. The twists and turns in this story kept me completely hooked because I genuinely didn’t know if Lucie would make it through everything standing. There’s heartbreak, tension, romance, emotional damage, and moments that had me completely stressed for these characters.

Also, can we talk about Ken? Because how is he STILL just a side character when he’s been giving main character energy since book 3?! Every single scene with him steals the spotlight. I adore him and desperately need his book immediately.

This book starts off with Lucie as a young adult sad because she sees everyone around her happily dating and having fun, while she is always doing the right thing because she is betrothed to the vampire prince and needs to stay committed to bringing peace to the two kingdoms. She has a best friend Jasper who becomes her guardian and watches out for her. She ends up meeting her mate, but she does everything to avoid him because it’s her duty to Mary the prince and bring their kingdoms together. They find out later that Ryan is actually the prince in disguise and this makes things better. They are still having problems with Beryl trying to kill the chain family. They have an unexpected ally in Abe aka Abass. Aiden is sent with Lucie during the chaos to find Aiden’s mate and Lucie looses her lycan. :(
There is a huge fight, Lucie gets kidnapped, she also gets pregnant. There are enemies in the Vampire kingdom as well as Beryl and her cronies. It’s a wild adventure and I can’t wait for the next chapter (Book)in this saga. This book follows the first three books and I 100% recommend this series!

The Vampire's Bride, the fourth book in JM Snap’s Celestial Series, launches the stories of the third generation of the Chain family. Lucie, the werewolf princess, and Derrick, the vampire prince, grew up knowing they would get married someday to solidify a treaty between their species. Their families brought them together since they were children, so they know each other well. But do they?

Throughout The Vampire's Bride, Lucie and Derrick realize that things are often not what they seem. People keep secrets and fate has a way of sneaking up on them with surprises they wouldn’t have imagined in their wildest dreams. Loyalties and relationships are tested again and again through harrowing trials while new bonds flourish.

Although I would consider this her most raw book in the series so far because it delves deeper into how far you would go for love or duty, I definitely recommend reading it. JM Snap’s usual mastery in combining drama, action, well-placed humor, and hot love scenes ensures a healthy balance that makes reading it an easy and pleasant experience.

I really loved this book. I enjoyed reading the continuation of the Chain family. Hunter and Freja's twins (Lucie and Aedan) are becoming adults and Lucie is having to come to terms with being betrothed since before conception to the price of the vampire kingdom. She is torn between loyalties and responsibilities as the werewolf princess and to her own heart. She wants so badly to have her mate and find love but never felt she would have that due to the treaty with the vampires. This story is about her journey, finding love, and maneuvering life trails to find what fate she will have. Lucie and Derrick's story is wonderfully written and the reader gets to join them in the pack, vampire's kingdom, the dragon kingdom and much much more. There is some old enemies to fight along the way and some new enemies, and some new friends to meet and become family with. There's even a redemption story that will make you tear up and root for an unlikely character. Looking forward to reading book 5 in the near future!

★★★★★★★★★★ (10/10)

This is the fourth book in the Celestial series, and somehow each installment keeps getting better. After finishing all four books, I honestly thought the previous one couldn’t be topped—but I was wrong every single time.

One of my favorite things about this series is how the characters from the earlier books continue to appear throughout the story. It makes the world feel alive and adds so much depth to the overall experience.

As always, huge compliments to the author for creating such an incredible story. The character development, world-building, and emotional impact were absolutely outstanding. I was completely immersed from beginning to end and never wanted it to end.

I can hardly wait for the next book to be released. If I could give this more than five stars, I absolutely would. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a fantasy series that captured my attention this much.

An absolute must-read for every fantasy fan. I loved every second of it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What you, my fellow coreader, can find inside this story? Maybe how duty and family obligations affect our heroine from the childhood, how beeing promised to strangers even before birth affects all decisions and every aspect of her life. She's even refusing to accept her god send mate for the sake of treaty that was made on her behalf. You can ask why, the answear is still one and only in this Universe, for greater good and to secure the future. You can read chapter by chapter and hope that better days will come for Lucy, all while seeing as mystical forces are helping to clear her path. The Moon Goddess is trying to reward her pain and difficult journey on her crazy ways. I'm not gonna lie, the reading experiences will be like on a rollercoaster. You will cry, laugh and more. Totally worth it.

JM Snap did it again, and honestly, the Celestial Series just keeps getting better and better. I am so deeply in love with this fantasy world. Every time a new book drops, the world just expands into something even more massive and magical. What totally blews me away were the women in this series. They are written so incredibly well! They are just so strong, fierce, and totally independent. I love seeing female characters who can hold their own and completely own their power. Absolutely beautiful. It is so deep and emotional, and you can just feel that intense connection radiating off the pages. If you haven't started this series yet, please do your fantasy-loving heart a favor and go read it right now. It is everything I ever wanted in a book and more!
Waiting for next book in the series. Alexa x Kraken ❤️

Lucie was prepared to sacrifice everything for a treaty forged long before her birth — but fate had far bigger plans for her.
Book 4 of the Celestial series is a highly anticipated installment, and it absolutely delivers. The Caine family once again finds themselves battling powerful forces of darkness and confronting enemies who threaten everything they’ve built.
At the heart of the story, Lucie and Derrick fight against impossible odds alongside their unlikely band of allies. Their journey is intense, emotional, and full of twists, and watching them carve out their place in the future of the Vampire kingdom is deeply satisfying.
A gripping continuation of the series — full of danger, loyalty, and destiny.

Highly recommend any and all of JM Snap’s books!

This book was, yet again, another jaw dropping story! I was very excited to see this story be centered on Derek and Lucie and I was so sad at first and then jumping up and down with pure joy when things went a completely different way 😍😍😍. Absolutely got side eyes from some family members! I absolutely love their chemistry and how the story went! Very much looking forward to seeing what happens for other members of this lovely family! Also worth noting that I cannot believe I went from absolute rage to a blubbering mess over one of the characters in this story! The way we were made to love a villain that we shouldn't have loved 😍😭😍😭😍😭😍 I really cannot wait to see what comes next!!!!! JM Snap, you did amazing once again!!!!!

Im just in love with this series. Were now on Lucie adventure who is the Granddaughter to the Fairy Queen from the first story. Jmsnap has written this book well just like all her others in this series. I finished it within days because I couldnt put it down.
It starts with Lucie feeling sad and alone even though shes promised to the Vampire Prince he away and she doesnt understand why he doesnt want to see her. Until shes dragged into the battles and she understands and also finds that the Moon Goddess has put things into play for a reason and although at first one may have felt having decisions made before she was born was horrible shes thankful for how it turns out. Very well written book.

I absolutely devoured this book, couldn’t put it down and my life basically went on hold and belonged to Lucie & Derrick. Once again JM Snap does not disappoint, the book has me laughing at the banter between the cousins. I loved how even past characters were present and you get a glimpse into the personalities of new characters in the family. There are so many twists in this book and one part even had me crying. I can honestly say hand on heart you will love book 4 but if you haven’t read the previous books in the celestial series then what are you waiting for. This book and the series are a must read. Absolutely love love loved it. Can’t wait for book 5.

I say this after every installment but I genuinely believe this is the best one in the series so far! I laughed! I cried!! I couldn't put it down!

I didn't know what to expect for this one, a pre- arranged marriage - I was expecting heartbreak at every turn! I was not expecting such complexities of the characters and the stories surrounding them, to fall in love with them and genuinely feel gutted when the book ended :(
The links with previous characters/family members and little teasers for upcoming storylines made for exceptional reading and I am well and truly hooked on the supernatural world of the Celestial Series!

I CANNOT wait for the next installment!

This is the 4th installment of JM Snaps Celestial series and once again I found myself on the edge of my seat and not being able to get any sleep due to having to "just read one more page"... and another page and another.

This book follows the life of Lucie and her promised prince, Derek, along with the next generation of Chain family.

JM Snap will have you guessing one way with fierce loyalty with or against characters at the beginning of the book and then you find yourself on a totally different path by the end of the book.

This book is wonderfully written and I continue to be hooked and excited for the next book to come out. Great read-highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — This book completely consumed me!!

The Vampire’s Bride had me hooked from the very first page. The chemistry between the characters was absolutely addictive — every interaction was filled with tension, passion, and emotional intensity that made it impossible to stop reading.

The atmosphere was dark, seductive, and immersive, and the world-building made everything feel so vivid and cinematic. I loved how the characters felt real and emotionally layered instead of predictable.

I say this every time, but another amazing book by JM Snap. For some reason, this is by far my favorite book of the series thus far. Derrick and Lucie’s love story will always have a special place in my heart whether it’s the first or 10th time I’ve read it. All the trials they have to get through to finally get to be together and happy are worth the drama and stress while reading. I love meeting all the new characters and still continuing to get to know the past characters at a deeper level. I can’t wait for the next book already and everything that is to come!

This entire series has been great and this one was probably my favorite so far!! I absolutely loved everything about it! The plot was engaging the story follows Lucie & Derrick on the journey to align the werewolves & vampires through a marriage treaty. Although they knew this since they were kids it’s not without its struggles of course! I love how attentive Derrick is and how strong willed Lucie is(just like the rest of the women in her family). The storyline progresses and JM has a way of getting you so excited for the next book!! Can’t wait!!

Great next book for this series! Sometimes series lose their magic. This was not like that. As in the rest of the series, every character is interwoven. I was anxious to see how Lucie’s fate would be since she was betrothed to be the vampire princess. Her journey to help her family did not disappoint. She is very fiery and I love that. There were points where I cringed at what would follow, and times where my heart was filled. I highly recommend this book, however start from book one to get the whole feel!

I couldn’t put this book down Lucy is such a strong character and the way she stands up for those she loves warms the heart. Her determination from the beginning in committing to marrying the vampire prince for the alliance even as a small child talking with her father and this carries over into her adult life as she takes the destruction meant for her cousin. She has endeared herself to the Kraken forever. Getting to see our favorite nemesis to Lila and family redeem himself was pretty cool too. Can’t wait for the Krakens story.

This book was worth the wait. It was more than I had hoped for. The main characters are amazing. Lucie promised to the Vampire Prince since birth. I don't want to give out any spoilers. So here is what you can expect. There are returning characters from books 1-3. This book can be read as a stand alone but is much better if you know the back history. There is politics, fairy magic twists, a crazy witch out for revenge, meddling gods, super cool guardians, a dangerous quest, premonitions and so much more. Looking forward to book 5, Taming the Kraken! Romantasy at its best!

I love this book. I have read this book and this series so many times. Love the humor, the spice, the banter. I love the mix of different fantasy elements with werewolves, fairies, vampires, dragons, werebears. Always such a rollercoaster with JM Snap’s books, including stomach turning moments as well as the swooning ones. But that just makes it more gratifying to read, seeing the MC’s overcome so much. Another excellent book ❤️🔥

I have enjoyed all of the books in this series, but this book is by far my favorite to date. It has everything: romance, suspense, action, redemption and humor. I laughed, I cried, I smiled. It gives all the feels. JM Snap is so talented with weaving amazing stories. One of my favorite things is how she turned a villain into a beloved character. I highly recommend this book. JM came at us with Lucie’s story. Lucie is Hunter and Freya’s daughter. She was promised to the vampire Prince before she was born. She has gone her whole life knowing she will marry him. We find out that she is so excited as a child to marry Derrick (the vampire Prince), but around adolescence he becomes distant. Lucie has spent her life feeling alone. I couldn’t help but feel for her as she starts to struggle with doubts. As the story took off from there you just want to root for Lucie and Derrick. They have so many obstacles in their way, but they continue to fight for each other and overcome them all. I laughed (a lot) during this book, but I also cried right along with them. This series is absolutely incredible. JM brings these characters to life. I feel like they’re my best friends. I love watching this family continue to grow and fight for each other. I can’t wait for Alexa and Ken’s book next!

This is book 4 in the Celestial Series

Will the chain family ever have life slow down for them? Abe is now one of my favorite characters, haha didn't see that one coming... Loved this one and excited for the next book in the series!
