The combination of a crumbling castle, late-90s Prague, and a romance full of tension immediately pulled me in.

Kara was easy to root for. Her dream of restoring a castle and getting her happily-ever-after quickly turns into one disaster after another, but she never gives up. I loved watching her juggle the pressure of saving the castle while also trying to figure out her complicated feelings.

Sean was probably my favorite part of the book. The tension between him and Kara was so good. He's grumpy, frustrating, and determined to keep his distance, which only made me more invested in seeing his walls come down. Add in Ethan's arrival, and I was fully invested in the romantic chaos.

What really stood out to me was the setting. Prague felt vivid and alive, and the castle added so much charm to the story. There were plenty of funny moments, lots of chemistry, and enough emotional depth to keep me turning the pages.

If you enjoy opposites attract, forced proximity, slow-burning tension, and a love triangle that actually keeps you guessing, this is definitely worth picking up. 📚✨

Kara believes in fairy tales, blame her brother. When she brings a guy to the middle of the bridge to share a love-story, magical kiss, she ends up kissing another by accident. He then runs off, leaving her alone. Fast forward she has left her job in the city to move in with her brother and his fiancée (who has inherited a castle). Together they fix up the castle and begin offering tours. When it comes time to higher another tour guide, who is to show up, but the guy who kissed her on the bridge. Sean denies it, leading her to extract some revenge that she does feel bad about.

There is so much tension between Kara and Sean. While I do like Sean, he did cause some emotional whiplash in his ability to ignore his feelings on moment, then gives him like he can't live without her the next. I felt for Kara, as she was so confused. Then you thrown in another romantic interest, Ethan, an underwear model. Ethan is super sweet and really like Kara. The love triangle trope is not usually one of my favorite, but I think it was done well in this book. I'm interested to see what happens next as there is a bit of a cliff hanger ending.

I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This book enchanted me from the very beginning. The setting is absolutely beautiful.

The characters are well developed, and it's clear that Aneta put time and love into creating them.

You find yourself rooting for Kara, hoping that she finds the magical, mythical love she's looking for. She's undeniably loyal to her friends and family, willing to do anything to help them. Her belief in fairy tales is endearing.

Sean you can't help but like. There's so much tension between Kara and Sean, and you never know what's going to happen next.

Ethan is also a very likable character. I found myself feeling for him throughout the story. I want him to get his happy ending.

I can honestly say that I can't wait for the second book in this duology to be released, I need to know what happens next!

A fairytale for all women who still believe. I loved the way this book unfolded like a classic fairytale, but with so many twists. The slow burn/will they, won't they was different anything I have read before. Unlike a lot of romance stories, I couldn't predict the winding story and I loved that!

The FMC was the perfect mix of wimsy, hope and taking matters into her own hands. Nothing works out quite as you expect and that kept me gripped throughout. The MMC was infuriating, sexy and captivating. I so easily let the love sweep me away and then bam! That ending, oh my gosh. Not sure I will recover!

Aneta Cruz did it to me again! I am sitting here and all I can think is WTH!

I LOVE this story! I had a roller coaster of emotions. I had to stop reading a few times because of Kara and some of her decisions. I just wanted to shake her and yell at her to get her head out of her butt!

I can't praise this story enough and 5 stars isn't enough for this book! All I will say is you HAVE TO READ IT!
