Just know that if you befriend me in a reader capacity, I will randomly send you unhinged texts about what I’m reading until you agree to put it on your TBR. And you better believe that Lonestar Maverick’s MC is on the list of books I’ll send quotes and scenes from until you agree so we can be unhinged together.
This found family is one of my favorites, and I’m a found family girly through and through. Esterline writes these cookouts and parties so I feel like I’m a part of them and I love every second.
The banter in this series is top tier. I laugh and love it. I recap scenes for my husband so he can laugh with me, which usually land me with a brow raise and “what are you reading,” followed up with “did you just say poison ivy, nuts, and hot biker in the same sentence?” Yeah, yeah I did. And I’m still laughing over it hours later after hysterically texting my friend to read this dang book!
These bikers are the perfect blend of literally everything I want in a MMC. Rough and rugged, but an absolute ball of homemade cinnamon roll dough for their girls (homemade, because the dough is just smushier than canned). Burning the world and chopping up “things”, then turning around and adding a minivan next to their Harley so they’re always available to transport kids and pups. Seriously, they’re perfect.

I have been waiting for this one, just knowing that Hatchet's story was going to be good and I was NOT disappointed!
This is book 3 in the Lone Star Mavericks MC series, and this one is Hatchet and Merci's story. This one immediately won me over as my favorite in the series. I did not expect Merci to be as hilarious as she is, but I was laughing so much from the very beginning. I love how strong and fierce she is, and you definitely don't want to cross her.
The banter, the tension, and the chemistry between Hatchet and Merci is perfection! I also loved seeing the growth with Hatchet from the previous book and how he stepped up and settled down when he needed to. There were a couple of spots that just totally made me swoon. Oh, and let's not forget that Merci is Merrick's sister (book 2) and Hatchet is his best friend...
This one just has all the good vibes! It's fast paced and addictive and full of banter, spice, found family, motorcycle club business, healing, and some great laugh out loud moments. Huge thank you to Rachel for sharing this one with me early! I cannot wait for the next one!

Hatchet & the Hellcat is the third installment in the series, and wow... Rachel's growth as an author is undeniable. The first book completely blew me away (and will probably always hold a special place as my favorite), but this one was absolutely phenomenal.
Watching Hatchet finally meet the woman who was perfect for him made me ridiculously happy. Merci is everything I hoped she'd be: strong, independent, and rebuilding her life after a painful relationship. Add in the fact that she's the sister of Hatchet's best friend and part of the Lone Star Mavericks family, and you have all the delicious tension of a man caught between the love of his life and the club's unwavering rule: sisters and daughters of club members are off-limits.
Rachel delivers everything I love in a romance: an engaging story, unforgettable characters, deep relationships, unwavering loyalty, and emotional moments that keep you invested from beginning to end. Every page reminded me why I fell in love with this series in the first place.
One piece of advice: please read the trigger warnings. I skipped them, and some of the violence genuinely caught me off guard. That's entirely on me, so don't make the same mistake I did.

I have been waiting for Hatchet’s book! We were barely able to get to know him in book 2 and I was so happy his book was next.
I was able to get the gritty MC action I have come to expect from Rachel’s book, with a side of forbidden love. Merci is Hatchet’s best friend’s sister, and I was not expecting to love her as much as I did. She is a great FMC and the banter she has with Hatchet is perfect. I really enjoyed watching Hatchet grow from playboy to protective hero. He stepped up when it counted and that was everything. He was present and didn’t try to steamroll Merci. He gave her space to grow and make her own decisions, while never allowing her to feel alone.
According to club code, she is off-limits, which added to the tension and chemistry that jumped off the page. Merci doesn’t play by the rules, nor does she ask for permission to exist. So, that club code? It doesn’t matter. Hatchet tried to fight his feelings due to his loyalty to his friend, but that was not a battle he could win. Watching him slowly fall in love was beautiful to watch; we really got to see the depth of his character as the pages turned. When choices had to be made, Hatchet chose Merci, and I will forever love a man who picks his woman over everything else.
Rachel gave us some funny moments (poison ivy in the wrong places), some steamy moments (he’s pierced), another rescue pup (Hey, Gremlin), and some heartfelt interactions (looking at you, Jessa). This book has it all and I want to read it for the first time again.

Hatchet and The Hellcat is Esterline’s third installment in the Lonestar Maverick Series, and features the most feral couple yet. A friends-to-lovers romance with the added sprinkle of ‘brother’s best friend’ drama, Merci and Hatchet might just be my new favorite couple.
When readers first met Hatchet, we were introduced to a man with a “flavor of the week” dating style and a bit of a reckless streak, but through book two, we see him question if his commitment-free life is really what he wants. In book three, Hatchet is finally ready to leave Neverland and is searching for something with more substance, taking on more responsibilities in his life. Merci is similarly ready for change after leaving her fiancé; she’s done with living the life that’s expected of her and going after what she wants.
Rather than “breaking” Hatchet, Merci is able to match his untamed ways (and give him a run for his money) as the chemistry between them grows undeniable. Together, they realize family isn’t only blood, but the ones who would give up everything for you.
The found-family theme is coupled with Merci’s headstrong dedication to the women of her community by filling the gap for local domestic violence survivors who are left behind by laws and government assistance. By the end of this series, the Mavericks may single-handedly create the safest, most functional city in America.

Motorcycle romance isn't always my genre but this series has me in a chokehold, and this installment didn't disappoint. Merci is definitely my favorite FMC in the series thus far, and Hatchet's character development was great to see. While I don't think it's necessarily required to read the first two to get into this one, I do think you'd appreciate Hatchet more if you did.
This is by far the spiciest book of the series, in my opinion. Hatchet and Merci are definitely hot! The plot moves a little more quickly than previous books, so it doesn't feel quite as in depth, but I feel like the trade off is that you get a lot more inner struggle from the characters, rather than dealing with outside issues.
But if you love a feisty woman who can definitely hold her own against the jerk who wronged her, and a protective man who insists on having her back anyway, plus an adorable dog, you really need to read Hatchet and the Hellcat!!

Along with the banter, tension and spice ( and we get spice!) We also read about some heavier topics of domestic violence and abusive relationships. Rachel tells the story in a sensitive, but powerful way about how lonely, scary and isolating this can be. About a system ment to help but fails many women, we also get ways to help solve the solution.
I love the characters in the entire series, my favorite trope is found family. This entire series gives me the warm fuzzies when it comes to all the found family. I love it so much.
Now, if you love morally gray protectors and vigilante justice, this story delivers!

This series continues to have such good storylines, that they hook you from page one! Although I really liked the first 2 books, Hatcher and the Hellcat is my favorite. The banter between the MMC and FMC truly had me laughing out loud! I love a book that will have me making comments to it, and this one did more than once.
This series needs to be read in order so that you get a full understanding and the dynamic between characters. The author is good about keeping main characters from the previous books a part of the storyline, it’s one of the things that I like most in a series.

Our play boy MMC Hatchet finally meets his match and falls hard and fast , only problem she’s MC royalty she’s one of the founding members daughter and his best friends little sister 😉
Our FMC Merci is a no bullshit kinda women and a doctor , one day after a long shift she comes home to find her also doctor fiancé fucking another women in their bed , our a later she finds out he has ties to the New York mob that will come back to bite them in the ass in book 4
Over all I have fallen for this MC dysfunctional family they ride or die for each other and it’s beautiful to read

I absolutely loved this book! I read her first two, Reaper & the Lioness and Damascus & The Wildfire as well, I’m glad I did so I could get the full development of the characters in Hatchet & The Hellcat! The characters in this are so sassy, sarcastic and full of fire. I flew through this book in 2 days, it’s a high stakes, twisty, intense MC Romance page turner! I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Incredible book! I laughed out loud, cried happy tears, felt the anger… it was amazing! If you love a strong, intelligent, funny, FMC and an MMC that’s charismatic but a playboy who falls first and hard… found family and overprotective biker boys this is the book for you but I would highly recommend reading the series in order so you get to know all the characters and their stories

First I was a Reaper girlie. Then Damascus was oooo buddy swoon worthy. But Hatchet? My guy. My gals. This maaaaaan. Yummy. I laughed, I cheered, I needed a cold shower. And Mercy? Freaking love her. Total Hellcat. I'm a sucker for a badass FMC. Their dynamic, their banter. The spice? Yup. I think book three might be my favorite. Good job, Rachael. This one is a winner.

Hatchet's story was a good one. I love friends to lovers and brother's best friend and you get sibling tropes. This one did not disappoint. There was lots of build up to these two getting together which added some good tension. Pretty solid plot with some little twists. Overall a quick, fun read. I am looking forward to the next book in the series

I picked it up and couldn't put it down! Literally writing this review at 1:55am after starting the book around 8pm last night.The way Rachel tells a story just draws you right in. I have been anticipating Hatchets story for months and it did not disappoint.

This might be my favorite book of the series so far! Per Rachel Esterline's usual, it truly has it all. A burning love story, spicy sex scenes, and satisfying action and torture.

I loved every second of it and, once again, couldn't put it down. I pretty much read it in one sitting. I've always been a Reaper fan, but this time? Hatchet completely stole my heart.
I loved seeing how much he grew from Damascus & the Wildfire. (Which was another wonderful read by Rachel) His character arc was so well done, and by the end, I was absolutely obsessed with him.
