It’s always refreshing to pick up a romance that steps away from the usual twenty-something main characters and gives us characters who have actually lived a little. After Atlanta does exactly that with Wren and Mason, a couple in their 50s who prove that attraction, desire, and the possibility of love don’t come with an age limit. Their chemistry was definitely there, but I especially enjoyed the vulnerability underneath it all. These two have established lives, baggage, and plenty to lose, which made watching them confront what still existed between them even more interesting. I also appreciated seeing romance and life transitions through a more mature lens because we definitely need more stories featuring grown folks finding their way back to love.

Their short time together made everything feel intense, fast-pace and there were a few moments where I wanted certain emotions and conversations to have a little more room to breathe. Wren and Mason kept me invested and I enjoyed watching old desires resurface while they figured out whether what happened in Atlanta could become something more. After Atlanta is sexy, emotional, mature, and a reminder that sometimes love finds you when you least expect it.
