"Norma invites the reader on a journey to examine the meaning of life, God, happiness and other philosophical notions. Written in a lucid and captivating style, the book revolves around a man forced to readdress his own beliefs when his young son inquires about the Universe’s origin, religion, destiny and fate. He is reluctant to share his unconventional ideas with his son at first, but soon enough urges him, and in the process, urges the reader, to seek answers to these questions based on one’s own search rather than relying solely on other’s conclusions. The book employs clever analogies to simplify intricate ideas and ultimately encourages the reader to be skeptical, tolerant and aware of the true meaning that lies within."
Whenever we are asked the question of who created the universe, obviously our answer will be: its god. But how sure are we about it? How do we know? And why do we directly answer this way? And most important, who is god? These questions were perfectly addressed in Norma's little story. The story puts us in the front seats of a father's mind when his son asks him about the creator of the universe, he tries to teach his son how to think and shape his own beliefs and not just consume other people's beliefs... This book is great for broadening the reader's approach to other ideas and beliefs, focusing mainly on god and religion... One downside is that it may feel a little bit boring at the beginning, as some details are not needed, but the last chapters were great.
