Roxie Ray is a group of writer friends who love to write Sci Fi Alien Romance and Paranormal Romance. They love to talk, read and write this lovely genre. They hope you love their books and strive to make sure you have a steamy, wonderful experience!
So grateful to have been able to be an Arc reader for Roxie ray and this new book. That being said done to my review. I truly enjoyed this book. It was funny, and wholesome. I really like how she was able to capture an ADHD brain at work in this story. There were a handful of grammatical errors but none that truly impacted my reading. I do feel she used wherewithal a lot more than necessary but it didn't really bother me. I thought the plot was great and I liked that the romance built up. Definitely more about the psychic than the wolf shifter, but had a good mix of his and hers perspectives.
So first, I couldn't get past the name Paul, especially when she was moaning it. Just not a sexy name at all 😂
Other than that, this could've used a lot of editing. The writing isn't the best. The villain monologue at the end had me lol'ing cause like really? Just such a lazy way to give information to the reader, especially at the end. So cliche.
I appreciated the creativity in the way the author portrayed the ADHD of the MC, other than that the book was just okay. The relationship fell flat for me. The plot wasn't very attention grabbing either. It took way too long to get through, nothing really surprised me, and the ending was one of the most anticlimactic things I've read.

Highlights: -Cherry is amazing <3 -Paul is protective and amusing -Expect a lot of “I’m hip with the kids” millennial energy -She has ADHD -Can be wordy -Mainly satisfying ending(Tell me more about what happens to the VanMarches!) -Marking scene -Fun spice
I need to preface this by saying that one of the reasons why I look forward to this author's books is that they have a large collection of neurodivergent main characters and for the most part they handle it well.
At first I was worried that this would be one of the ones where they didn’t (like Cursed with Benefits) but after getting past the first quarter, while it is brought up often, Cherry is endearing enough to work past it. To explain, I’m a huge proponent of show don’t tell. I LOVE the inclusion of the back and forth in her head(the way they play with font to emphasis) and her talking about the experiences she had because of it. What I didn’t love so much, is how often it gets brought up like “Well I do have ADHD… ADHD is my superpower… etc..”
I was also scared at the beginning that this book was going to go nowhere, but I was really pleasantly surprised(I really really enjoyed it by the end). Paul and Cherry have really great chemistry, the adventure/mystery are fun, the spice is great, his family is interesting and her upbeat attitude is infectious. The messes they get themselves into make sense and I like that there aren’t really any miscommunications that hold them back.
I only really have two problems, the consistent mention of ADHD like I mentioned above and a lot of filler pages that could have been put to better use. Like while I found the ending to be mainly satisfying I really wanted a more drawn out acknowledgement and repercussions for the assassin(No spoilers). I also would have liked if the epilogue were a wrap-up about the van-marche family and whether Cherry kept up with some of the friends she made along the way.
~~Oh just a warning, some people may find Cherry to be a bit much, she’s very expressive, doesn’t always think things through and can be a little too #girlboss at times(I get it she had a lot of passions as she grew up but still). Not that I'm complaining. I personally find her very endearing. I think I’d want to be friends :D.
From the dedication... 🥰🥰 to the start of the book to the very end.... wooow! 😍😍
Chapter one had me hooked to see how the story will unfold. Paul walks into his father's Home Office only to find something that will haunt him for the rest of his dreams. Feeling like it wasn't over and needing answers. He finds an advertisement that leads him to Cheribrlle a "psychic." Charibelle (Cherry) wants to help people just like her late mother. Cherry decides to reopen her mother's psychic business. Only Cherry isn't really a psychic, she's an empath. However, with her empathic abilities, she's able to solve the simplest of tasks and so much more. When a man walks in looking for her mother, she's mournful and sad but also excited yet intrigued. One look at him and she can read his feelings, but sees he's holding back. Eager to help, she jumps in right away when he turns to leave. She gives him what she sees. All the emotions and more information that no one knows but him. It's enough to convince him that she knows what she's doing. Upon further investigation on Pauls dilemma, she realizes that she doesn't only want to prove herself, but she feels that she needs to help the family be whole again. 😍😍
This story has so much mystery behind it..... and I LOVE it! 🥰😍🥰 if you're looking for that mystery, that will keep you guessing and wondering. Love and passion that's not just between the main characters. Spice that will have you sweating, but just the right amount that won't or doesn't take away from the story. And action that will have you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. This is the book for you. Big fan of Roxie Ray.....This will not let you down. 🥰🥰🥰.

I am always hit or miss with Roxie Ray - some of her books I love and think are so funny and have plots that keep me intrigued. I looked into Roxie Ray and learned that it is a group of ghostwriters/authors who write under the name, so maybe I like certain authors of this group? IDK!
This book gave me such Psych (the TV show) vibes - the fake psychic with her partner in crime and when she is introducing herself to random people, she gives fake names and scenarios. Which is exactly something Shawn Spencer from Psych does. Maybe this caused a little bit of bias for me because Psych is one of my fav TV shows, but who cares! It was so funny!
I loved that Cherry new SO MUCH about so many different things because she is incredibly smart and can't focus on one exact thing. Also, the way the internal monologue of her and her ADHD being showed in different font sizes/shapes felt so accurate of how someone's mind works.
With an engaging FMC and evolving MMC this was such a fun and riveting story. I absolutely loved Cherry! I loved the way she saw the world and how she translated it into helping Paul and his family. I think one of the most fundamental aspects of being “human” is wanting to be seen and the way Cherry and Paul could see each other through their masks and walls was a really beautiful aspect of this book. It has the perfect blend of murder mystery, world building, romance, and an excellent amount of ADHD representation. I would love to see more of Cherry and Paul!
I adored this story! It’s interesting and builds quickly, yet the characters developed naturally. I really loved how the author was able to write in detail the neurodivergent brain’s inner workings! I’ve lived my whole life with 5 thoughts, or more, in a single moment yet never has that reality been so correctly written! There was intrigue, mystery, romance, and just enough spicy times that ended in a HEA, or at least a HEA for now…I hope there is more! I haven’t been this disappointed yet satisfied a story ended in a long time!! Read It!
Thank you Roxy for writing what it feels like to have powers beyond this world all while fighting an ADHD brain. I so understand this character. When messages trickle through from the otherside and the hyper brain takes off in a tangent. Thank you for the neurodivergent characters, I love them and they keep me laughing. From advent fan
This was a good story and I was really enjoying the thrill of it when the main couple suddenly pulled each others clothes off go no good reason. I just skim read the rest after that. I’m not adverse to smut but this just felt like it was contractual cos it’s a Roxie ray book.
This was so much fun and different from other “fantasy” books I’ve read. I never wanted it to stop. I’ll be looking for more from Roxie Ray. This is a must read if you want a book that is hard to put down and loads of fun!
This book is totally in my top 10 of favorite books!!! The story was incredible and the characters were made perfectly, I absolutely love how it crossed detective work with supernatural.
Great book. Really enjoyed the story and the unique plot. Love how the author(s) present the neurodivergent to us. The pacing was good with like-able characters. Definitely recommend.
I think this was one of my favorites so far! I loved Cherry’s little ADHD notes in between the text because that’s exactly how my brain feels most of the time with my ADD!
It’s a little hard for me to review a Roxie Ray book because the truth is- I don’t know how that writing situation works. If you look up the author, it says that Roxie Ray is a group of authors and not necessarily one single person. Does this mean that they all collaborate on one book? Does this mean that different authors write whole books under one pseudonym because its easier to be published that way? So that would mean that the Roxie Ray who wrote “The Cuddle Clause” is potentially a different person than the one who wrote “The Alpha and the Baker” or “Swipe Right on Fate”? I suppose it doesn’t matter in the end- but it would make it easier to guess whether books take place in the same world. Anyway, let’s get down to brass tax. “Accidentally Accurate” is the book I am reviewing today. I was a little confused because it was sent to me by Special Fiction Books under the title of “The Fake Psychic’s Guide to Solving Shifter Murders”. Perhaps they were workshopping the title. “Accidentally Accurate” is certainly more fitting, since our FMC Cherry (Cheribelle) who is the fake psychic in question, is a fan of alliteration. Our MMC Paul is the third born son of a prominent shifter family. He is constantly overlooked because he is neither the heir nor the spare of his pack. Well, that was the case before both his father, Caspian Van Marche, and brother, Luther, were brutally murdered in the family compound. While looking through his father’s desk, he stumbles across an old magazine with an advertisement for a famous psychic, Ophelia Domoue. She is known to help solve criminal cases, so Paul reaches out. Ophelia has long since died and her daughter Cherry has taken over the business. One problem. She doesn’t have precognition. She is, however, an oracle. Specifically, an empath. Being that the popular definition of empath has changed, due to so many people claiming to be empaths, she doesn’t disclose that she is one. She hides under the moniker of a psychic. So she ‘takes the case’ and she, Paul and the remaining Van Marche siblings: Chris, Penelope, and Jackson band together to find out who killed their father and brother. But how can she help? Fear not! She has a secret weapon. In addition to being an empath, she has ADHD, which allows her to see details others miss, as well as think outside the box. This makes her quite quirky and all together endearing, especially to Paul. They have an instant connection and well… it’s a Roxie Ray book. You can figure out the rest. They are all spicy little HEA books, after all. I am absolutely over the moon that I got a surprise eARC for this little banger. As someone who has diagnosed ADHD it was so heartwarming to see the representation in this book. It feels a little longer than the usual Roxie Ray books I have read, but the murder mystery kept me engaged. The spicy scenes weren’t too frequent, but they were spicy. Paul is an absolute dreamboat… all the Roxie Ray shifter fellas are. Cherry is a hot, fun, smart, and strong-willed FMC- thankfully Ray doesn’t make us suffer weak FMCs! A fun, fast read!
*THIS ARC WAS PROVIDED TO ME BY THE PUBLISHER. I WAS NOT COMPENSATED IN ANY WAY, BY ANYONE. AS ALWAYS, ALL OF MY REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN ON THE BASIS OF INTEGRITY, NOT FANGIRLING. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ AND REVIEW THIS BOOK AHEAD OF ITS RELEASE.*
This was a delightful read that I could not put down. Here we have Paul, the often overlooked/forgotten middle-child of the pack Alpha trying to solve the murder of his father, brother, and their security teams. In a desperate attempt to make sure his remaining siblings are safe, he contacts the oracle (our FMC Cheribelle "Cherry"). Except, she's not exactly a psychic per se. What she does have is a really cool power to see emotions like auras - and a whole lot of ADHD.
The inner dialogue of Cherry's ADHD was hilarious and felt pretty accurate. The way it's visually represented and how the thoughts jumble together was perfect for me - I really got a sense of how her brain works and snort-laughed several times. Also, the representation of ADHD jumping from one new hobby to another creating a person who is accidentally knowledgeable in way too many things - yeah, I felt both seen and called out. Cherry is endearing and charming, her struggles felt relatable, and I really enjoyed the whimsy she brought to the story line. I would read an entire series about Cherry having adventures.
Cherry and Paul have a fun dynamic and whew - the spice was on point once they finally get there. They're an enjoyable couple and I was cheering for their HEA.
The plot itself was great - there are a few twists that I found somewhat predictable. I usually figure out a "surprise" way ahead of the big reveal in a story, so this was not unusual or bothersome to me. The storyline was well plotted out and made sense within the context of the world as well as the backstory of the characters involved. I want more of this couple and their world!.

From the first page to the last, this book was a truly gripping read that held my attention completely. The plot centres on Paul, an often-ignored middle child in an Alpha pack, who launches an investigation into the killings of his father, brother, and their guards. In an effort to safeguard his remaining relatives, he seeks out Cheribelle "Cherry," an oracle with a unique twist. Rather than being a conventional psychic, Cherry has the intriguing gift of seeing emotions as colored auras, all while managing her life with ADHD.
The portrayal of Cherry's ADHD was particularly striking and felt remarkably authentic. I especially appreciated how her fragmented thoughts were visually depicted, offering a clear insight into her mental landscape. Her habit of jumping from one hobby to another gives her an unexpected depth of knowledge in various niche subjects, a quality I found relatable. As a protagonist, Cherry is absolutely charming; her whimsical nature adds such a rich layer to the narrative that I would eagerly follow an entire series dedicated to her adventures.
The dynamic between Paul and Cherry is superb, with romantic elements that really shine as their bond strengthens. They are a fantastic match.
The narrative was exceptionally well-constructed, maintaining a logical flow that stayed true to the established world-building and character histories. The energetic tempo kept the experience thoroughly engaging. I am certainly looking forward to further explorations of this setting and revisiting these delightful characters.

I’m not super well-versed in the neurodivergent realm, so I honestly had no idea ADHD fell under that umbrella. One thing I REALLY loved about this book was how it showed Cherry’s thought process when her ADHD was in full effect. It made her feel so real and layered, and I genuinely enjoyed getting that perspective. I’m always here for inclusive books that shine a positive light on neurodivergent characters and people with disabilities without making them feel like a stereotype or a lesson.
And can we talk about the pacing?? THANK YOU for not dragging out the fake psychic plot for the entire book. We know Cherry is faking, and I loved that the story didn’t spend 300 pages running in circles with it. Everything moved at such a good pace, and nothing overstayed its welcome.
Cherry herself was such a fun character. She’s quirky, chaotic, impulsive, and somehow always lands on her feet. Even though she isn’t actually psychic, it’s almost like she has her own kind of gift because things just WORK for her in the weirdest ways. She’s the type of character that could easily become too much, but instead she was magnetic.
And Paul?? Whew. At first he came in all stiff and emotionally constipated, but watching him slowly loosen up around Cherry was SO satisfying. It felt like he was discovering parts of himself he didn’t even realize he buried. They’re such an unlikely pair, but together they just click perfectly. The chemistry was giving slow burn and instant attraction at the same time somehow — and when it finally comes together?? BABY. A bang indeed
Let me start this out by saying I don't DISLIKE Roxie Ray but I also feel like almost all of her stories are the EXACT same but with just a few different species.
First half: not too bad like how she describes the ADHD, not a fan how the FMC is super good at EVERYTHING, I don't really like how the characters she helped just HAPPEN to be in the right spot at the right time. And then they never show up again? Like yeah I get its a book but still. Also some continuity errors. At one point it said she put her phone or something in her bra because she didn't have pockets but then a couple sentences later she put stuff in her pockets. Also don't really feel the chemistry between the two main characters before they do the deed. It feels very forced in a way. And also the teasing, bratty behavior was not really well written. Also some of the ADHD things are just a TAD overexaggerated. Especially the energy drink bits. Second Half: Not too bad. Started feeling more chemistry between the two main characters. The resolution seemed like it came from no where. I did like the slight plot twist, but I still saw it coming once the character was introduced. The kid at the end of the book I struggled with remembering who he was it just seemed like she was trying to hit a word count so she threw that bit in. Also would have liked more of an ending between the two characters. Is there going to be a second book? It seemed like it left it open so that there could be a second book but overall three stars. Spicy bits were 2/5.

This book was a chaotic and hilarious and so very entertaining. It grabbed my attention from the very start and kept me invested until the last line. Paul and Cherry were such a wonderful duo. Their interactions had me in stitches every time they were together. My heart broke for Paul when first meeting him. He’s often dismissed and disregarded, and it was so sad. And him seeing his family the way he did as well as how the remaining members behaved after utterly shattered me. What put me back together was his connection to Cherry. Cheribelle was ADHD personified and it made her so much more relatable and lovable. But she is also so genuine in her actions and cares so deeply. The connection and chemistry between Paul and Cherry were so sweet and intense. The way they support each other through things and the understanding they develop with one another was heartwarming and genuine feeling. And the way things progressed throughout the story kept me invested with the twists and turns it took. And the way things wrapped up left me wanting more of these two but also feeling satisfied with what I did get. I would happily read more books about the things these two could get up to together. But the story we got wrapped up so satisfyingly that I had a smile on my face and warmth in my heart.
And somehow that ends up being even more entertaining.
Watching her navigate a city full of shifters while trying to solve a murder without revealing she's basically winging it was SO much fun.
Then there's the MMC 👀🔥
Protective. Broody. Permanently hovering.
The kind of man who insists he's only helping with the investigation while constantly finding reasons to stay close to her.
And honestly?? Their chemistry was SO good.
Between late-night stakeouts, dangerous secrets, and one too many moments where they're standing a little too close, the romance develops perfectly alongside the mystery.
✨ If you love: • paranormal mystery romance • fake psychic FMCs • shifter MMCs • witty banter • murder investigations with romance
This one is funny, charming, mysterious, and packed with supernatural chemistry 🔮🖤✨.
Wolf shifter Paul hires "psychic" Cherry to help solve a murder. Except Cherry's psychic powers aren't exactly as advertised...
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a dual POV, it really brings out the details of Cherry's "gifts". She describes what she sees and thinks, and Paul's commentary explains it a little more and how it looks from the outside. Cherry's inner monologues are hilarious yet insightful. For those of us with "neuro-spicy" tendencies, it is familiar chaos, and it is uplifting to see how she has learned to embrace and harness her differences; she thrives because of them not in spite of them, she doesn' t work around them, she uses them actively.
Paul is also a refreshing character in this genre: as the third son of an alpha, he has absolutely no link to the actual leadership position, but he feels the responsibilities of his family and clan role deeply. He is also a walking Green Flag: he talks about emotions and considers the feelings of others openly, and isn't overly broody or aggressive. While this book is more emotionally deep than others I've read, it is still laugh-out-loud funny and the mystery is well constructed.

I enjoyed this book and will probably read it again.
The font type and size and placement to represent Cherry’s thought splats is cool, and I love how none of the characters is truly 2 dimensional. There were things I predicted that came to pass and things I predicted that didn’t, and even the things I did that did were done in a way that makes the book “not predictable.”
Cherry and I share a hyperfixation on alliteration (which I know even crops up in my reviews sometimes) and even though she’s fiction I can’t help but wonder if she has the same thing with rhythms that I do.
At the end Cherry is a bit of a Mary Sue Supergirl, and yeah ADHD problems sometimes have an inverse positive, but this went a little OTT even for a fantasy novel. “Accidentally” Accurate also feels like a misnomer to me, she’s accurate because she’s telempathic and well trained, not by accident.
Like other Roxie Ray books there is explicit on-page sex, probably a 4/5.
I received an Advance copy from the publisher, and my review is voluntary.
I loved this. Especially the on-page depiction of the ADHD experience. I've never seen my own thought process so perfectly illustrated in a book before. I was a little nervous to pick it up, as the last Roxie Ray I'd read hadn't felt 100% human (as they try to claim) which had been super disappointing, as I'd been looking forward to seeing the AuDHD representation (Nobody Told Me Dragons Use Libraries by Lindsey Devin and Roxie Ray). But this one was 1000% written by a human with ADHD and I loved it. Usually, I would've enjoyed a little more romance-y romance, but the realism of the characters (despite their mythical natures) made up for the slight HEA ambiguity. It was also slightly predictable, but in a gratifying way that just made me feel clever rather than making the story obvious, as I'd sort of guessed the culprit(s)/motives rather early on (though there were a few twists I hadn't expected). Also, barely a spoiler, but now I have Baby Shark in my head. So, thanks for that, I guess.
I identify SO MUCH with Cherry. The internal “discussions”/”arguments,” knowing exactly where something is even if it’s just chaos to others, the hot sauce. I’d put money on it that this book was probably written by someone who has a similar flavor of ADHD as mine, and, gods, do I appreciate that kind of representation compared to the stereotypes and neurotypical portrayals that are so much more common. Also, that comment about sleeping in 2-4 hour bursts? That felt like a personal attack. Oof, and that forgotten middle child thing throughout, yep, that’s familiar
I’ll admit, I kinda figured out who the villain was before the reveal, but not so much the why or how. It was a good book, and I enjoyed it.

I had an absolute blast reading Accidentally Accurate. I really enjoyed the pacing and the sense of urgency driving the story along. The murders gave the book a darker frame than the cozy stories I've read from this author before, and I liked that a lot.
Neurodivergence isn't new for this author, but I loved the way Cherry's ADHD was portrayed. It felt chaotic and authentic, and the formatting added another layer to that in a way I haven't seen before. It did a great job capturing how her brain worked without feeling forced.
I thought Paul was an extremely sweet and worthy MMC, and I really liked him and Cherry together.
The whole thing reminded me a bit of Lucy Score's Riley Thorn series: fun, a little ridiculous, but still centered around a murder we're trying to solve. It was a really entertaining mix, and I had a great time with it.
I've never read a shifter romance like this one. It begins with a grizzly double murder of the MMC's father and older brother. The MMC hires a psychic (at least he thinks she's a psychic) to help find the killer, only to find out later that she is not quite what he believed. As the hunt for the killer expands, Cheribelle and Paul work closely together and, predictably, Paul starts falling for Cherry. There's lot of witty banter between the two of them, which adds to the overall enjoyment of the story, but there's also a lot of drama and tension to keep the story interesting. It's definitely not your typical shifter romance, but it is definitely worth the read.

Didn’t expect much but I actually really liked this book. Despite the initial event that that story is about, the book was fun. Liked the jumble of Cherrys thoughts, the variety of her special interests. Paul was always truly kind. I wish we learned more about Luther and his story. The enemy was kind of predictable. Some of the fight scenes with Cherry seemed unrealistic, like an exaggerated action movie, but I didn’t really mind. I didn’t pay attention to the author and was surprised at the end to see this by Roxie Ray. I haven’t liked their other stuff I’ve tried to read, but whichever member of the group wrote this did an excellent job.
Paul's life is upended when he discovers the murdered body of his father and eldest brother. It is further upheaved when he seeks help from a psychic.
Mr Peace, Serenity and Control is blindsided by the chaotic whirlwind that is Cherry. But these complete opposites mesh together to solve the murder of his family members and keep the surviving members safe.
A fantastic, fast paced, steamy page turner. Paul is a kind, in control alpha whilst Cherry is a delightful mess. I would absolutely recommend this book.
