The best was kept to last in this gripping trilogy. The bringing together of the first two books in the this final battle is inspirational with the strong held belief of the hope and desire for a second chance. It draws you in and keeps you hooked until the very end.

I don't want this series to be over. I know there's a spin off with the Black Warriors, but I feel like the series could go on with Tore, the children, and the aftermath of the ending. This book is technically about shapeshifters, but there's so much more human elements at work here. You see people dealing with grief, revenge, all human emotions. The third book deals more with the supernatural, but really, this book veers into some of the literary fiction realms with some of the themes dealt with

I loved learning more about the Black Walker Warriors and the conclusion to the story arc related to Erik's vengeance was satisfying. I did not buy the idea that Erik both loved Louisa and was molded into the sick-minded killing machine his father had shaped him to be. If he loved her, he would not have accepted having her killed. If he was capable of love, he would not have become the murderer that he was. Neither his love nor his pain over the loss of that love seemed anywhere near intense enough to prompt a lifetime of bloody revenge against so many people. I wanted to hear more about the history of the Black Walker Warriors, and I wanted to hear that Johan and especially Eva had been accepted into them. I also wanted to hear more about the potential story between Pilan and Eva, and to hear more about Rune. It seems he should have been deeply affected by killing his own biological father, yet the story does not discuss that much. I also wanted to hear about his own emotional healing and learning to treat women with more respect, perhaps come to love and cherish one the way his father did his wives.

ANGELA STEVENS HAS A WONDERFUL TRILOGY....BUT I WISH IT WOULD CONTINUE....
I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW AND THIS IS MY HONEST OPINION
This is a wonderful story of a Tore a Lycan wolf who has 4 kids Kjell, Rune, (half brothers) and Johan and only girl Eveline(16). After death of second wife Tore fell apart and left, leaving the kids with his wife's father Hania. But many misconceptions have kept the family from reuniting. Till now when many things are telling everyone that the time is now. For secrets to come out, about what powers they each really have. If some are shifters or more, and who knows and don't. What have the kids (now all boys are grown, legally) not been told? Who and why is someone trying for the last 20 years to destroy their family? Why do they want them all dead? Is anyone who can willing to help them put a stop to it? But when all this is answered I only wish it continued, I can think of so many more questions that I would like the answers to. What will end up happening, will Eva get her way or will her father and 3 brothers stop her? Will Grandfather help her or the men of her family? How will they continue in their new lives? I really hope she does start another book or series of books continuing their lives. She does have 3 young unattached men, an unattached father of them and Eva and then there is Pia (another young girl). That could be a lot of stories. And what about Grandpa, bet there could be alot to tell there too.

When I read this story, I hadn't read the previous two in the trilogy. I found it a little slow going at first as I tried to piece together just exactly what was going on. I soon became wrapped up in the lives of the Vargrs, as Tore, returning to his father-in-law's house, relives his memories and attempts to reunite with his children. His children, Rune, Johan, Kjell and Eva are also attempting to find their father, and Eva is dealing with three over-protective brothers. Unfortunately, Erik, Tore's brother and Alpha, is a very brutal man and captures Tore, needing to dispose of Tore and his children. The set-up for the final battle is extremely well-done as we delve into all of their lives in detail. Enter the Black Walker Warriors, I loved these guys! Thought only to be a myth, the Vargrs are extremely surprised when grandfather Hania introduces them to the skinwalkers. An Unbreakable Will is a well-written, fluid novel, filled with sibling struggles, mystic happenings and lots of action, with a surprise or two along the way. The characters are fleshed out so that you feel like you know them by the end of the story, which will have you cheering. That being said, I now have to go back and read the previous two stories to find out what I missed.

There has been quite a lot of suspense building with the last two books towards this climactic finale. With that in mind, I was almost afraid it couldn’t possibly live up to the buildup. But this final installment more than surpassed my hopes and expectations. Not only do we get to see the lycan shape shifters in all their glory in the heat of battle, but the skinwalkers finally come into their own. Their magic and abilities in some ways is even more of a spectacle to behold. I can’t wait for the spinoff series that involves them, which the author hints is in the works.

As always though, relationships fraught with dynamic tensions and conflicts, age-old animosities, brotherly love, sisterly love, and romantic love are interspersed with all the action. More than that, the author masterfully leverages those relationship tensions to compress the coiled spring that is finally released in the 3rd act action finale.

Considering the ensemble cast has a long history together, there were a lot of story threads to tie off, but the author doesn’t leave you hanging on any of them.

All in all, throughout the trilogy this remained a highly engaging, entertaining, and fresh take on the admittedly overpopulated shapeshifter genre. All 3 books are highly recommended.

The Vargrs are at it again. Tore has dried out and decided to try to remake some sort of relationship with his children. His boys are less than enthusiastic about it. Eva is less certain. Johan and Eva are going through their own trials. Johan is coping with transition, while Eva is exploring ... something rather different.

When Tore shows up at his father-in-law’s cabin, though, the clan he’d turned his back on, led by the brother who murdered both of his wives, is able to grab him and imprison him while Erik, his brother, decides what to do with him – after taking care of one or two other loose ends first, of course.

Just don’t expect Tore, Kjell, Johan and Eva to sit back and let Erik do what he wants to their father without objecting. Even estranged, he’s still their father. Hania, his father-in-law, has some friends who may also have some objections to Erik’s method of dealing with his problems.

Skin walkers and werewolves are usually considered mortal enemies – but the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right? Or at least, the enemy of my friend is my enemy, too. Or something like that. What happens next? I can’t wait.

There's so much I loved about this final book in the Vargr Clan trilogy: the characters, the depiction of family relationships, the story itself. Two scenes that I particularly enjoyed were 1) the "sex talk" between Eva and her brothers. So much great dynamics between the siblings here and throughout the story. 2) I loved the squirrel on the roof scene. The line "Was that some sort of squirrel come-on!" made me laugh. In addition to that, there was a great description about how animals act. I watch the squirrels outside my window behaving exactly the same.

There is an interesting contrast of family dynamics in the book. First, you have the sibling rivalry between the brothers Tore and Erik, and all the pain it causes for each of them and the clan. Then there's the opposite with Tore's children. They squabble, but stick together and work things out. It shows what a difference relationships can make if at least one of the parties begins by offering forgiveness instead of holding all the hate in pain inside. A great lesson in life.

I'm glad to know there's a spin-off series. I'm looking forward to that.

In this third book, Tore makes his way back to his family. When the bus breaks down, he heads to Hania’s house. Once there, old memories surface but danger is lurking. Erik’s men are waiting and

Tore finds himself captive and back in his brother’s lethal hands.
Eva and Jasper are getting to know one another but Rune can’t stand it. He always seems to have something negative to say. When she and Jasper have a wreck, Rune steps in. They are both saved but it is the end to Eva and Jasper.

Through their link, the children hear Tore say he is coming home. When the link is broken, they know they must find Hania. They arrive and are greeted with love. When they find out Tore is at Erik’s pack, they immediately start planning his rescue. Eva is teamed up with Pilan and the others fall in line. With her special abilities, she is the best bet to see her father and make sure he is okay and let him know of their plan. One daring rescue mission and a fierce battle scene will leave you in awe of this book. Excellent writing with a storyline that will melt your heart.

If you have not read book 1 or 2 this review will contain spoilers!

This is the explosive conclusion to the series by now we know Tore was trying to make home but was unable to before getting caught. His children are now on the warpath determined to get him back safe and the family at large is determined to end the hostility once and for all.

Eva. What is there to say about this character she is smart, funny, independent, and by far my favorite character I've read in a long while. She is not one to put up with other people's BS nor is she one to roll over to others just because she's younger. She has learned so much about herself in a short period of time and she takes everything in stride absorbing the information and growing with what she learns at a rapid rate.

Johan had a major shock in Book one that caused him to run but in being by himself he learned a lot about who he was and has become a stronger person because of it. He is sweet and caring and I enjoyed his easy way of being and how he was always able to calm any situation.

Tore too has come a long way from the boy we met who was only 18 years old and running scared in the beginning. He has learned that sometimes running is not always the answer and that even when things look to be their worse there was always a bright spot in life.

Each character, major and minor, we see has come a long way in finding themselves. Getting to know them all has been a great joy and seeing how they each learned to be accepting of who they are and of their own family while also being independent has been quite a ride! They were all unique in one way or another and each brought something different to the story.

While this is the end of this series I for one am certainly hoping to see a spin off come out of it!

The final piece of the trilogy is now complete. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. I hope that some other stories based on the characters might be available at some point. I really want the journey to continue.

I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys really good storytelling and getting the opportunity to take a journey that has heartache and loss but also lots of love. The familial bond is a source of great pain and joy for Tore. His father and one brother certainly cause him great anguish. However, it is his family ties to his other brothers, his children, his two wives and his father-in-law that save him in the end.

There is the most optimistic of the books. Tore has been tormented by demons for so long and is finally on his way home to his family. His children are strongly bonded together but they miss their father and know it is time to be find him. It doesn't mean there are not still many difficult issues for them to resolve.

I have to admit that I have a special fondness for Eva. She really comes into her own in this final book in the trilogy. She is a strong young woman with a very open heart. Her journey is still not complete and I would love to see another story featuring her and seeing what choices she makes in adulthood.

I have enjoyed the Native American aspects to the story and was very happy to see them incorporated more into this third book. A book on Hania and his warriors would be fascinating. You can only imagine the stories they could tell.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

I closed this book with a feeling sadness- not for the outcome of the story, but the fact that this trilogy was now finished. The tale is done and there will be no more. Or will there?
Although the story is told for the main characters Tore, Liam, David and others, minor characters – Eva, Kjell, Ruhne - grew in stature to become major players in a possible new series. They will surely have joys, trials and tribulations ahead of them as they make their way through life that will make reading to hold us spellbound as has the Vargr clan trilogy; of which ‘An Unbreakable Will’ is the last book in the series.
I am sure the fertile imagination of Angela Stevens coupled with her meticulous research into native American cultures and her direct, inimitable prose can produce a sequel series. What about it Angela? We all want to know if Eva and Jasper get together again!
As for this book, it belongs with the others in the trilogy- The Wolf You Feed and In Hold. Together they would make a perfect boxed set and one I would gladly buy as a present for my sixteen year old grand daughter- the books deal on occasions with mature matters, but not overtly so.
This is beautifully written. The characters and situations are real as are the dialogue and locations. The Vargr Clan trilogy is an excellent choice of a read to escape from life’s routines for a few hours.

This is the last book in the Vargr clan series. It might be the best. It was sooooo good! It was full of action and it was so hard to put down. I swear time passes so quickly when you read this author's stories! This book picks up where book two left off. Tore is captured by his brother Erik, he gets away and is recaptured. Erik is insanely jealous of Tore and hates him with a passion so he delights in torturing him. Right before he is captured, his children make a telepathic connection with him and get his location. They are really psyched about seeing him again and make plans to go get him but he tells them no. Contact is broken abruptly as that is when Erik and his clan mates find him the first time. In the meantime Eva, Tore's daughter, makes contact with Hania, Tore's father in law. Hanna is the leader of the Black Walker Warriors and he calls his people together to help Tore's children rescue him from Erik. There are a few side story tracks running at the same time and it is so action packed and absorbing that the reader loses all track of time. I promise, you will love this book. I hope the author considers writing more books so we can find out if Eva and Pilan become a couple or not. During this book we find a strong connection between Eva and this Warrior. Oops, don't want to ruin it for you! Great read!

*****SPOILERS*****

Wow these keep getting better and better, the things this family has been through is horrible. The fact that they have survived it all is a small miracle. I'm so grateful they didn't loose any characters I've come to love, but they didn't fight without harm all together, some physical some emotional. Now they just have to pull it all together and heal in all ways together, and reclaim their love and their family. Love these so much wish there was more of these characters. I certainly hope there will be more of these characters down the road. We have to see what happens in the children's lives as they get older, and how the clan turns out, Pia being in the family and we can't ever forget about Eva and the Black Walker Worriors. Please give us more. Give it a read you will love it.

An Unbreakable Will is the third book in The Vargr Clan Trilogy. This trilogy has been a fantastic read. Angela Stevens is such a marvelous story teller. She makes her characters an events come to live and jump off the page as you read and become part of the story. For me in book 3, many questions were answered, such as why has Tore's brother been trying to destroy him and his family. When Tore was thrown out by his father, he gave up all rights he had as a son and member of the clan. I was also glad to see the Native American component play an important part in this final story. I also enjoyed seeing Eva come into her own and let her three brothers and father know that she wants to be an active part of the family, even if it meant going into battle. You have to read The Vargr Clan Trilogy. This trilogy would be a great read as we transition from summer to fall.

This final book in the life of Tore Vargr most definitely lived up to my expectations. The questions I had were answered. The characters developed even further. The climax delivered, albeit unexpectedly. Angela Stevens is a master of descriptive, emotional writing. Her ability to create a unique world, refreshingly different from other shifter novels is exceptional.
The story continues to throw out surprises and keeps you guessing until the end, which I have to say lends itself to more. I want to know what happens to these characters. I'm not ready to let them go. I have no hesitation in recommending this trilogy to lovers of the genre, you won't be disappointed.

This trilogy is amazing. I loved reading how each character dealt with their own growing pains and battles as well as each other as their lives intermixed or went their separate ways. These are the type of books that you will find yourself talking about years from now and reading over and over. Ms. Stevens is a powerhouse in her writing. I hope to read many more of her books in the future.

I was given a copy for an honest review. Thank you Ms. Stevens for allowing me the honor of reviewing for you.

Love it. The clan is drifting back together slowly. Tor is learning how to survive by himself and getting sober. His kids are learning their powers, well Eva at this point but it wouldn't surprise me if her brother does too by the end of the book too, since he and his sister have discovered they have the same powers and working with the mysterious skin walkers to learn their powers and more. The final battle is looming ahead who will win, who will die, and who will survive? Guess you need to read now? Also don't forget to pick up 1 and 2 or you will be lost.

Wow Great Trilogy!

I'm sorry it's over. I loved every minute, every scene, every character in this series. The Vargr clan dealt with some horrific events, some amazing break throughs and a deep love for each other. The twists and turns in the last book brought the story together with lots of funny scenes and fabulous New adventures and discoveries about who each of the family members were. I hope Angela Stevens writes more about what happens to the family. Could be some wonderful books from this story.

Moving and heartfelt story

I got hooked on this moving and heartfelt story of this family's trials and tribulations. It was an extremely emotional ride and I just couldn't put it down until I read all three books. Although the characters were fictional, their strength, faith and love really moved me. I highly recommend reading books 1-3.
