Very good read
It was entertaining for sure. I’ve already read the first 3 books so it was a nice refresher.
The book had multiple point of views, which allowed me to connect up with person I was reading about. Their thoughts and feelings translated easily to their actions. So it was easy for me to enjoy reading about them.
I loved that the true pinnacle of this series was basically at the very end of book 4, and at the start of book 5. It gave me the chance to enjoy them being happy about planning their future. I loved that Maya adopted the boys, and I really enjoyed reading her interacting with her future son Riccardo in her dreams. It gave the reader hope for their future.
I Loved Bella and how she was an integral part of the series even if she turned out to be just a cat and not some secret shifter.
I loved she found Az, her angel. Despite his forced compliance, he looked out for her when he could.
There was a few things that I felt missed the point with how built up they were during the series. For example, Malcolm. He was her father, the one who beat her, traumatized her, killed her even, stalked her, the only good thing about him was that it was never any mention that it turned towards sexual abuse. The disappointing piece was that, he was this big bad man, who did terrible things to hurt her, his ending was anticlimactic. The dragon god was dead, some of his power being transferred to Malcolm and when they confronted him, he didn’t put up any fight at all. Like zero. Even with all the magic he had sparking off him. I had hoped he hurt a little more than the little slicing off his head caused. He deserved it, he was evil down to his core so I felt his death was rushed in a way. Another point that felt anticlimactic was the dragon council. No mention of how corrupt they were, even after it was known that Anna, the councilwoman was working with Malcolm aka Coven leader, aka her dad, Lorn the bear shifter and how they had allegiance to Ry the dragon god. Anna portaled them to a place outside the dragon council building, knocked and tied up councilman Larry. They all defeat the dragon god but no mention of the dragon council dissolving because Maya was crowned Queen of dragons and phoenix’s? It just felt like in order to get to 5 stars, I needed closure on these parts of the story.
Otherwise this omnibus was entertaining.

Reborn in Flames: The Complete Series — M. Sinclair
A reread of the whole series — and absolutely worth it. When I spotted the complete series release I knew it was the perfect excuse to dive back in, and I'm so glad I did. This is a rich, detailed story with a supernatural world that genuinely pulls you in and doesn't let go.
Maya is such a compelling FMC to spend time with. Her inner dialogue is a real highlight, and her backstory is genuinely heartbreaking — but there's something so lovely about watching her navigate the small, ordinary moments of everyday life alongside everything else. Watching her come out of her shell across the series, step into her artistic side, and grow into herself is such a satisfying arc.
The lore is one of the biggest draws for me. Discovering the shifter world and the different species is fascinating, and the world just keeps expanding in ways that feel exciting rather than overwhelming. Finally getting to the Dreki realm was everything I'd hoped for, and the revelations about Maya's past reframe so much of what came before — the pieces clicking into place felt really well earned.
Maya's mates each have their own quirks and foibles that make them feel like distinct, individual characters rather than interchangeable love interests. Croy finally getting his bond was so satisfying, the twins' backstory was a proper emotional gut-punch, and Azrael was an absolute standout by the end. Faxon and Kace's heartbreaking past was such a touching addition too. Every character feels like they matter.
The quieter moments matter just as much — Bella the kitten, the stretch in France, the younger flight I immediately wanted to take under my wing. And the ending delivered everything I wanted, with epilogue chapters that were the perfect send-off.
A wonderful series, and one I'll happily come back to again.

Fantastic Series!
This was a reread for me but I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. Though it was definitely nice to be able to binge read through the cliffhangers.
This book has so much growth in it. Definitely in Maya, but also in all of her guys. From a traumatized captive to a strong protective queen, Maya was a wonder to read about.
Her guys are incredible and offer all the sweetest moments in between the dark threats. Packed full of drama and plot, swoon worthy moments, and delicious spice this book will keep you engaged and on your toes.

I absolutely adore this series and it was nice to read all the books together. Maya and her mates are such delightful characters that never get boring.
