You reshape my weakness into something that cannot be broken.

After walking through Hell and surviving it, Eliana finally returns home—no longer the girl who doubts her power, but someone ready to face whatever dares to stand in her way. Yet nothing in her suffering prepares her for the hollow, aching absence of the one she loves most.

Adam refuses to surrender to that distance. Life shapes him into something unbreakable, and he will do whatever it takes to find his way back to her.

But the path between them is anything but simple.

And as the world closes in once more, they may be forced to fall back into the only rhythm they have ever known—clinging to the jagged remnants of their passion, holding onto memories that cut as deeply as they comfort, while the darkness threatens to claim them all over again.

This is the second and final book in the Duet. You MUST read Silent Echoes first.

Okay… I was NOT emotionally prepared for this book. 🖤
After finishing Echoes Between Us, I feel like I need to sit in silence for a minute and process everything I just experienced. Valeriia Miller has a way of creating stories that feel dark, emotional, and completely consuming—and this one absolutely delivered.
There was something about the atmosphere of this book that pulled me in immediately. The darkness, the emotional intensity, and that constant feeling that there was so much more beneath the surface kept me turning the pages.
And the characters? THE CHARACTERS. 🥀
I loved how layered they felt. Their emotions aren't simple and you can’t help but just yearn for a happy ending for Eliana and Adam. There were moments when I wanted to reach through the pages and shake them, moments when my heart hurt for them😭🖤

What I especially loved was the emotional side of the story. It made the story feel like more than just romance—it had that psychological edge that kept me invested.
Valeriia Miller really knows how to create that beautiful and emotionally dark atmosphere where you're simultaneously intrigued, emotionally attached, and desperately needing to know what happens next.

Overall this book was dark, intense, and addictive. It completely pulled me into its world, and I loved getting lost in the chaos of it all.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Especially if you love your romance with a darker edge.
Valeriia Miller really said, “Here, have some romance… and some trauma with it.” 😂🥀

This is probably hands down, one of my favorite duets I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Between the atmosphere, the characters & their development, the plot, it was absolutely amazing.

One of my favorite parts from the second part of this duet specifically has to be where it shows healing and grief aren’t linear. Being able to experience Eliana’s personal journey after all she experienced from book 1, I adored it beyond comprehension.

I 10/10 definitely recommend this duet and I will 100% be recommending this whenever someone asks for a rec 🥲🖤

What in the loving darkness did I just finish!.

The emotional roller-coaster of a ride this took me on was phenomenal!. The characters were well developed in the first book but this threw it out the field, from the chemistry between the characters to the "I will literally burn the world for you" was so well written, an pulls you right in where the first left off.

Please read your triggers!.

Peak writing, peak characters, peak story. I cannot wait for everyone else to fall in love with this duet😍 (prepare to question your sanity when you’ll start rooting for the villain!)

"ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴛɪʀᴇ ᴜɴɪᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ ꜱᴛʀᴇᴛᴄʜᴇꜱ ᴀʙᴏᴠᴇ ᴜꜱ, ʙᴜᴛ ɪᴛ ᴡɪʟʟ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏꜱ ᴘᴀʟᴇ ɪɴ ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴀʀɪꜱᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏɴᴇ ɪ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴇ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ɪ ᴛᴏᴜᴄʜ ʜᴇʀ."

I want to start with the simple fact: this story isn’t anything like I’ve read before, and I’ve read a lot of dark books and dark romances with all kinds of different elements.
This duet beats them all.
Honestly, calling it a simple dark romance feels like it doesn’t do it justice. These books were so emotionally charged, so tense, so HOT—you could feel the story settling into your heart. I’ve lost count of how many times I cried while reading Book 2. Adam and Eliana have been through so much, and you can’t help but root for them until the very end.
Their mental decline after being in captivity for so long is what makes this story so strong. It’s one of the aspects I love the most. They’ve both been through similar things, yet they experience everything differently, and that’s what makes everything so much more interesting. One moment, you’re in Eliana’s head, battling her demons and trying to find hope in her darkest days, and the next, you’re with Adam, feeling his violence, anxiety, and tension.
Together, they make an explosive yet perfectly imperfect couple.
Then there are the side characters. Kyle’s determination to help his sister broke me and stitched me back together. He’s funny and caring, and it’s so easy to love him.
Emery… I want a book about her. She’s so dear to me, and I’m so happy Adam came back for her. Their dynamic was such a positive little bright spot in such a dark story.
Together, they make a perfect found family.
These books are thick, but I still feel like there wasn’t enough of them. I think I need at least five more books about them going on missions, being together, and cracking jokes.
I’m heartbroken that I don’t see more people discovering these books. Valeriia deserves so, so much more credit for all of her stories.
This is what I need in dark romance. Most of them nowadays feel so bland and uninspiring, and no books hit quite like Valeriia’s. There’s so much more emotion in her writing and so much care that you can always tell how much time and effort she puts into her stories.

A million/10.
