Contrary to what I said in my review for book 2 in the series, I didn’t reread it before this one, but I didn’t really need to. Gabriel popped right back into my brain with his snarky, impulsive, sexy, adorable self, driving Dante crazy, he was so mad at Gabriel for lying to him. But Gabriel still needs to solve the mystery of who killed his father and who set up Dante’s dad for it. Dino is looking more and more like a player in the whole thing, but no one can figure out a motive for him. Well, all will be revealed in book 3. There is more murder and mayhem, double-crossing, red-herrings, and a heart-breaking reveal for Gabriel, as well as a big threat to the entire Montelli family, but all comes right in the end (since it’s the end of the trilogy😉), and Dante and Gabriel get their HEA, at least as much as possible given their line of work. Vinnie also finds a love interest, so maybe we can a book with his story. I hope so. Love Zack with Vinnie!
If you loved books 1 and 2, I think you’ll be happy with book 3. Questions are answered, feelings go full circle, and all is right in that little pocket of the world —at least for now, anyway. I really enjoyed this series from these two writers and hope there will be many more books to come. They are a definite go-to for me. I received an ARC from the authors and this is my enthusiastic and voluntary review.

I am obsessed with this series!!
Dante, continues to be mean and moody and currently full of murderous rage for his sassy, smart mouthed husband Gabriel.
Will either of them survive the fall out of the decisions and actions of those around them??

This is the third book in the Hitman and the Heir trilogy, which absolutely have to be read in sequence to get the entire experience. Dante is the Montelli family heir, Gabriel is an assassin/hitman. This book is full of betrayal, mystery, suspense, plot twists and action. Without giving anything away, you do get the answers you need from the previous books and a happy ending.
