The Alpha's Concubine #1

The Alpha's Concubine - Part One

-- This is a preview edition from a previous serialisation of the novel. The entire book is now available for free. -- Taken from her people. Claimed by an alpha. Forced into a new life. In a time before tools of metal and houses of wood, tooth and claw rule the wild places of the world. The Moon People have been enemies to Netya's kind for as long as the stars can remember. They are monsters, demons, men and women who take the shapes of beasts. The murderers of her father. An outsider taken as a prize by the pack, Netya must overcome suspicion, rivalry, and the division of her own heart, as she grows to realise that monsters wear many different faces. Among the Moon People, she uncovers the potential of a life she never knew existed. The chance for a woman to become something more than a prize, or a mother, or a concubine. But as the alpha and others vie for her heart, the powerful huntress Vaya seeks to purge Netya from her pack. Before Netya can decide where she belongs, she must endure the trials of love, hatred, and heartbreak. The girl taken as a trophy must become a woman. 27600 words in length. Contains explicit sexual content.

Hello there! I'm Claudia King, a huge nerd of a writer who decided a few years ago that it was about time to put all those creative writing classes to good use rather than going out to get a real job. Starting out with erotica, I have since sidled over into romance and historical/paranormal fantasy territory.

I'm an avid reader and consumer of all sorts of storytelling media, and if I don't have my nose buried in a book for work then I'm probably playing around with some artsy video game, obsessively cleaning the house, or going off on a wander through the countryside to lose myself in nature.

Very Good

If you love shifters book you will enjoy this book. I love it. I love the way the story was written and the way it was heading. Can't wait to read part 2.

I loved it. I didn't mind that it started slowly because that added to the detail of Netya's story. I know that every bit in here will add up to understanding future books ahead in this series. The characters are individually interesting. The plot is ever growing and being as impatient as I am I read on to book 2 Daughter of the moon before writing a review on book one because I was left wanting to know what was next.

I got this book in exchange for a voluntary review. Netya of the Sun people didn't realize her place until she was captured by the Moon people. She became the concubine of the alpha. The author writes of differences between the two peoples, one of which can shift and become wolves. The differences are feared and become a reason for war.

Over all an enjoyable story.

A good mix of characters, descriptions of the different places were interesting, the story-line kept me interested but i did find it a little slow sometimes.

It has interested me enough to make a note of the next book in the series.

Good read!

Very good story. It was different and very interesting to read. In a way, reminded me a bit of Clan of the Cavebear. Check it out!

Good fast read. Very enjoyable. I thought Netya was a well rounded character and the Alpha was everything you'd want in an Alpha sexy manly and a good leader. I look forward to read the rest of the books.

Somethings I liked, some I didn't care for. Over all it draws me in to wanting to continue reading the series.
