🖤 This one hurt so bad, but it was so good. When I say grab your tissues and make sure you have comfort snacks ready, you better listen. You will laugh and blush and definitely will cry. Emily really makes you go through all the emotions in all of her books and this one was no exception. I was definitely not expecting that to happen but when it did, you best believe I was SOBBING! Sadie is one strong ass bitch and deserved so much better than what she got growing up and as an adult, at the hands of those she trusted. The ones that were supposed to protect her, and never did.
🖤 Sadie and her men are perfect for each other. They are always attentive to what she needs, and when something has gone too far past her comfort level and she’s not able to communicate properly, they help her take a breath and use her words. I fully believe we all need men like that in our lives. They are so patient with her when she’s triggered and needs a breather but will be hard asses and show tough love when she’s being self destructive and self sabotaging. Omg and my favorite is when she goes all bratty on them and they go all “hulk smash” on her bratty ass (Sadie’s words not mine lol). Anyways, I absolutely loved it! Sadie and her men got everything they deserved in the end and it was god to see them finally have their much needed HEA.

I started the book with high expectations, and it held 5 to 4 ⭐ (depending on the scene) until the end of the first third of the book. Then it dropped to 3 ⭐ description and smut wise, but 2 ⭐ logic wise. So my final star count is ⭐⭐⭐.
Plot:
It's a dark, poly, harem romance with multiple POV where we follow mainly Sadie's view. She's one of the four starting members of an IT company secretly in love with her 3 roommates/ company co-owners/ childhood friends. She is a 28 year old virgin with extremely Catholic parents.
The men in her life are in love with her as well and once they all overcome their fear of "what would she/he/they think about me coming out", they start a poly relationship with the three boys sharing her. This, however, happens in a very uncomfortable way, as a scene of their first time gets leaked by a jealous "ex" of one of the men.
With them overcoming the scandal, another problem arises with Sadie's mother bringing back Paul, Sadie's rapist who took advantage of her when she was 11 at a Christian camp. With this we see the reason why Sadie refuses to go to churches, and why her relationship with her parents is the way it is.
Paul shows up to be a bigger problem than anticipated, together with one of his family members, when kidnapping and raping Sadie. Sadie fights her demons together with her men and Stephanie, a future fiancé of their lawyer, Todd.
Stephanie becomes a huge support in Sadie's life, not only sharing her assault from her teen years, but her life views as well. Both of the girls end up sharing their sexual wants and desires, and together with not only the three, but all eight men come to their fulfilment.
But when all seems to go well, Sadie is forced to face one of her prior demons again, this time losing one of her beloved people along the way.
Character development:
Sadie is the only character we see going through some changes, while all the men are always being supportive, understanding and are there for her at all times.
She is the only one who has to face her past and her demons. She is the one who is learning to believe and trust others, not only herself. She stands up to her mother and her rapists.
The voice and tone:
Up until the first third of the book I found the story's tone refreshing and the voice playful, keeping in mind the spice warning, making it for me a smut based book and hence, taking it as one.
However, once the boys became all too understanding, all too dreamy and all too perfect, when Sadie's tantrums of a "spoiled child" became too reoccurring, it started to bother me and it took from my enjoyment of the book.
The tone went to everyone directly agreeing to everything, everyone being in love with Sadie (completely ok), but not comparing themselves one bit, not being jealous when the others share her... Which to me was a bit less believable and too much fantasy like.
Also the dialogues. In one sentence Sadie thinks something in her head and directly, in the following sentence, one of the other characters comments on that particular though as if it was written all over her face, or as if they all could read minds, which was extremely annoying. There was little to no conversation happening where the characters would have a real exchange with deeper meaning where someone wouldn't be a mentalist. As a lover of deep dialogues, even in smut, this was missing for me.
Spice:
All the sex scenes in the story were described in thorough detail and given the clear warning and list of triggers in the beginning, we get to see all that's mentioned. A bit of less realism in the first scene, where the two of the trio at a time rail a virgin and she's not uncomfortable at all... I could get over, given the nature of the story.
Recommend for:
I recommend this story for every smut lover who loves reverse harem, a bratty FMC and three dominan MMCs with additional men coming to picture.
If you've got a problem with a theme of rape, christian fanatical parents and uncooperative police, I'd say you won't enjoy half of the book.
It's an easy read and if you want something you don't have to think too hard about, this book is for you.

This book completely sucked me in. I binged it in just a few days because every chapter seemed to introduce another twist, revelation, or emotional gut punch. The pacing is fast and there is always something happening, whether it's relationship development, family drama, legal fallout, or another unexpected obstacle thrown in the characters' path.
What stood out most to me was the balance between the darker themes and the strong sense of support surrounding the FMC. Despite everything she endures, the story places a huge emphasis on found family, unconditional acceptance, and learning to see herself through kinder eyes. I especially appreciated the body-positive messages and the way ALL her partners consistently challenged her negative self-image and self-doubt.
The religious hypocrisy and generational trauma woven throughout the story added another layer to the plot and helped explain many of the characters' motivations and struggles. Several reveals genuinely caught me off guard, while a few smaller details had me predicting what was coming next, which made the reading experience even more fun.
While some scenes required a bit of suspension of disbelief for me, they didn't take away from my enjoyment overall. This was an emotional, chaotic, drama-filled ride with plenty of spice, shocking twists, and a satisfying HEA.

Watching her navigate her past while learning to accept the love she deserves created such an emotional and rewarding journey.
One of my favorite aspects of this story was the friendships. The bond between Sadie, Dean, Mason, and Lance felt genuine and believable because of the years of history they shared. Their connection went far beyond romance. There was trust, loyalty, understanding, and a level of comfort that can only come from growing up together. I am sitting here trying to find the right words for this review, and honestly, my mind is still completely spinning. I knew going into Emily Klepp’s Unholy Devotion that it was going to be intense, but I was not prepared for the absolute emotional rollercoaster this book put me through. I feel like I’ve been wrung out, put back together, and shattered all over again.
What struck me most about this book is that it’s so much more than just a dark poly harem romance. It’s incredibly rare to find a book with multiple love interests where every single dynamic feels entirely fleshed out, earned, and deeply distinct. Klepp didn’t take any shortcuts here. The connections are complex, gritty, and at times beautifully agonizing.
It’s a flawless balance of absolute darkness, danger, and a fierce, protective vulnerability. The high stakes kept my anxiety through the roof, but the sheer emotional payoff made every single heartbeat worth it. The characters got so far under my skin that I know they’re going to be living in my head rent-free for a very long time.

This book had me feeling all the emotions. Sadie goes through absolute hell throughout the story, with the trauma from her past resurfacing and bringing even more heartbreak into her life. My heart broke for everything she had to endure.
But amongst all the darkness, there were also so many beautiful moments. Watching Sadie with her men was everything. They loved her fiercely, supported her unconditionally and would do absolutely anything to protect her. Their relationships were full of sweet, romantic moments and plenty of spice 🔥
The final part of this book completely caught me off guard. There were some heartbreaking scenes that I genuinely didn’t see coming and I definitely found myself tearing up. It was emotional, devastating and beautifully written.
Thankfully, this story delivers a well-earned HEA, so you can finally breathe a sigh of relief after everything these characters go through.
One thing I really loved was the message at the heart of the story…to love who you want, love as many people as your heart has room for and not let society’s expectations define your happiness.

Trauma does not mean you can't find healing and love
First off check your triggers cause this us a very dark read. Secondly grab some tissues because this one had me bawling.
Sadie is a survivor. The things she went through as a child definitely have consequences now that she is older. However, she has had three guys with her since they were toddlers. They have grown and changed over the years and now they own a successful tech company.
I enjoyed the way this started with Sadie going off on that chick. The jealousy was so obvious but the men were apparently clueless. I love how they men were forced to show how much they wanted her.
After the smex take was leaked and everyone was scrutinizing her because they never saw her as more than a secretary. I'm loved how she stood up for herself with sass and bluntness.
Just as she got her men everything kind of blew up. Including her past coming back and still determined to cleanse her of her sins. I hated her parents and what they allowed to happen to their daughter. Of course that story takes some interesting twists later on too.
I adored Stacy. She was the best friend everyone wishes they had. The girls planning the cabin trip was a lot of fun.
I do feel like we never really got to know some of the men and they just kind of were there. They were just another body. But we definitely know the main men.

Unholy Devotion by Emily Klepp pulled me in from the very first chapter. I could not put this down, every chapter brought a new twist, emotional revelation or an unexpected obstacle that kept me hooked.
Sadie is intelligent, ambitious, fiercely loyal, and incredibly resilient. Watching her navigate the trauma of her past while learning to accept the love and support she deserved made for a very emotional and rewarding journey. The bond between Sadie, Dean, Mason and Lance was a large draw in the story. Their lifelong friendship and unwavering devotion made their relationships feel genuine and added depth beyond the romance.
The exploration of religious hypocrisy, generational trauma, and healing without allowing those experiences to completely define the characters. The body positive messages and the patience, care and support Sadie's partners showed her throughout the story made the emotional moments even more meaningful.
This book made me laugh, blush, cry and gasp more than once, and a few twists genuinely caught me by surprise. It is an emotional, drama filled dark romance packed with found family, healing, devotion, plenty of spice, and a satisfying HEA. I received an ARC copy and I am leaving my honest opinion. This book was a wow! I absolutely consumed every word! I was hooked from the first chapter. This book was everything. It went from sweet, to tragric, to intense and it definitely will bring all the emotions out of you! You will need tissues. I laughed, cried, got angry and wanted to throw my kindle at the wall! This story will live rent free in my head! I absolutely loved this book! Sadie (fmc) was such an amazing character. She went through so much trama and so many heart breaking things but I was rooting for her the whole book and could relate to her in certain ways. This story will break your heart and then slowly put the pieces back together again. The best friends are so decliously hott, you won't be ble to put the fire out. Each one has their own personalty and they will have you melting. Personally my favorite was Lance and Jake. There is a whole lot of steamy spice for sure! There are some very dark parts so check your triggers before you start! First read for me from this author and I will read more for sure! I absolutely recommend this book!

Oh my gosh guys , I really was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the best ways . Nothing and I mean nothing could have prepared me for Sadie and her guys journey, for the feelings it was going to stir in me . Our Heroine Sadie - phew has she been through some pretty traumatic things , things from her past that she is still working to overcome. What I loved most about her though, was how strong she was , ambitious, extremely smart and fiercely loyal . I also really loved her relationships with Dean , Mason and Lance - I loved the history between them all , the progression of their relationship, how each guy brings something so special into her life . I have to say there were so many moments throughout this story my heart felt like it was literally being shattered into pieces yet I could not stop rooting for Sadie to get the happy ending she so clearly deserved.

It's a good book. I enjoyed it but I did feel that it jumped rather quickly from being Sadie, Mason, Dean and Lance to adding another 5 guys.
So we basically start with Sadie being in love with her 3 best friends but no-one talking about their feelings. Although their good friend Todd does help Sadie see that the boys feel the same way about her as she feel for them.
We learn that her parents aren't nice people that ignored her being abused by someone that should be trusted. Although her do find out more about that at the end and I kinda feel bad for the parent that wasn't as bad I originally thought they were.
I did feel bad for Stacy but I think she would have loved that outcome for Sadie.
I do wish we had gotten a little more on the rest of the guys don't get me wrong I actually really liked the banter between them but I felt it quickly went from the 4 of them to 9 in the blink of a eye. Other than them all playing football together and having lunch after there wasn't mush interaction between them all not on page anyway.

I haven't read one bad book from Emily klepp/Dani rose and I've both read and done ARCs for alot of them!
This was no different🖤
She always have the perfect balance of sadness, happiness, gore and spice, which is why I keep coming back to her work!😄
🫶‼️BUT beware of TW's because there always are alot of them‼️🫶
The dynamic between the characters, is impeccable! It's pretty hard to get that closeness when it's more than like 4 or so characters involvded as FMC's and MMC's.
This was emotional and dark but with a lovely and unconventional HEA. It's perfect!

Emily has done it yet again. This book may be my favorite of them all. As always check your triggers before going into this book. This book starts out with our MFC Sadie who owns a business and lives with her 3 best friends/co owners. She is in love with them and she is too scared to admit it to them. Unbeknowest to her, they are also in love with her and don't know how to tell her. Sadie went throgh a traumatic experience at a summer camp when she was a kid. She is scared to open up in fear of losing her men. Needless to ay she ends up getting more than she bargined for in more ways than one. That little twist that Emily threw in there. I was not expecting it and it was a doozy. With all that being said, this book is a must read if you love Emily's books. If you have never read her books. What are you waiting for?

Listen, Emily does NOT play around with this one. I went into this thinking I was ready. I was NOT ready. SO CHECK THOSE TRIGGERS!!
Sadie is literally me if I had three besties who were also my business partners and I was secretly in love with ALL of them. Except she actually gets them. And then some. Because this harem goes from 3 to 8 real quick and I am NOT complaining...one handed filth. lol
The trauma? Heavy. The spice? NUCLEAR. The way these men are so patient with her triggers but also absolutely wreck her bratty ass when she needs it? I love a good brat
Fair warning though: this one deals with some DARK stuff. Like childhood SA, religious trauma, kidnapping... it's a lot. I had some tears. But the found family and healing arc made it all worth it.
Could some stuff have been more believable? Sure. Did I care? Nope. I was too busy fanning myself and crying.

Mrs. Emily Klepp has done it once again. Unholy Devotion is an emotionally charged dark romance, that will make you go through all of the feels right alongside the characters. I found myself bawling on more than one occasion throughout my reading.
The FMC goes through so much. From family being down right awful, to unspeakable things happening as a child and following her into her adult life. Then comes the betrayals and the twists. Even in the end she still goes through unimaginable pain. In the end though, with the help of all the MMC's, she's able to come out even stronger than before, and gets everything she deserves!
As with any Emily Klepp book, you know you'll be in for a ride!

This was a good read. Dark yet comedic. I love a good dark rom com even if this one was a bit more dark than others I've come across. I feel for how Sadie was brought up but so much of her past has built her into who she is now. The love of her men and that spice level definitely evened out the playing field. A spoiler was given when I received this arc and I completely forgot about it until it happened and absolutely broke my heart. You'll definitely need a moment to process, maybe a couple. In the end, was the healing and it was beautifully done. This book read so true to how things in life pan out and I'm glad it was skated over.

I found it highly disappointing due to its completely disorganized storytelling. The dialogue feels forced, and the plot is packed with so many unrealistic twists that it completely loses focus. Instead of building real character development, the narrative just jumps from one tragic event to the next. Furthermore, while the book contains serious subject matter, Sadie’s trauma is never appropriately addressed. In the end, the narrative lacks the emotional substance required to build a genuine connection with Sadie or the guys, or to invest in their relationships.

Gah I cannot express how much I LOVE this author. This is the perfect kind of poly romance I love. ***If you haven’t read this author before please make sure to check your trigger warnings, but I have none because this is one of the authors that has broken me a little bit so I now have almost no triggers. ❤️ o Poor Sadie… That poor FMC has gone through so much but I absolutely adore how the MMCs work with her through her trauma.… I love that she is not a damsel in distress, and that she fights for herself even when her mental health is not the best. AND good Lord gravy, do I love their group dynamic. I don’t want to say anymore without going into the spoilers, but if you love, poly/rh romance then this is the book for you… Just watch your triggers, and there is plenty of emotional damage, but the ending is absolutely worth it. I can’t wait to see what Emily puts out next.

Ugh, I love everything Emily writes and this is no exception. At first, I was like dang this is so sweet and unlike anything I've read from her yet. Boy was I wrong. In true emily fashion this was heartbreaking and healing. The love the guys have for Sadie and the redemption arc with her father was so beautiful. I cried so hard. The spice and the plot were absolutely perfect! What a wild ride this book was but it healed parts of me. As always check your triggers. Nothing about this book is light or for the faint of heart.

Her relationship with her best friends isn't the only complicated relationship in her life. She is strong but lacks confidence in herself. The MMCs are devoted to Sadie and will do anything to protect her. It is a great sweet friends to lovers. This isn't just a romance, but it is emotional torture. It has nail-biting tension, devastating sadness, and spicy heat. I couldn't get enough.

Possibly 2,5 stars. While I didn’t actively hate reading it, this was not a good read to me. Throughout the book the dialogue and the story felt unnatural and unrealistic.
Too much happened that just didn’t seem plausible and there was always some new thing. That resulted in a lack of focus on the actual characters. I don’t feel like I know any of the guys at all, with maybe a little exception for Dean and Todd. A lot of the relationships seemed rushed.

This is the first book I've read by Emily, I have many many more in my library but haven't read them yet but I definitely will now, I absolutely loved this book, this was my first poly book so I was a lil nervous but I loved all of it, theyre all so great to her an so rough it was a great combo, I think for some reason Lance, dean, Jake, Todd were my favorites out of everyone I have no idea why, the fact that she took revenge on her abusers is something everyone who's ever been assaulted wishes they could do I know I definitely do

This story is dark so i strongly suggest reading the trigger warnings first. I didnt want to put this book down it went with me everywhere i was reading while cooking and everything. This amazing story has every feeling and emotion on every page. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and will make you cry sad and happy tears. This spice level is off the charts HOT!!!. Sadie is such a strong person after everything she has suffered she deserves some happiness in her life and her men will give her that and more.
