Just a few minutes a day and a heart open to God can change our lives forever! Learn to pray without words. God understands your heart, and through silent prayer He can restore us, from the inside out. There's a quiet place within you. A place where you don't have to pretend. In the Heart of God you are loved, understood and accepted. Come to that place now.
This book is a good read for Christians who want to strengthen their belief or have found themselves straying from their religious dedication and want help getting back. However, I found it very repetitive. You may think that if you are not Christian this would be of little interest, and on the surface that is the case. If you substitute many of the ideas about the benefits of silent prayer with just stillness and clear your mind so that you're void of thought, you enter a level of consciousness that gives you the same benefits. The author feels you need Christian beliefs to attain these benefits, whereas many religions believe being present in the now and accepting what is without resistance will provide inner peace. The author seems to view God as an object with a gender (Father) rather than a presence. In any case, it seems many religions are saying the same thing, but are using different words. They are travelling slightly different paths to reach the same mountain top.
