Carefree backpacker Blaze Rifkin is living the dream of a motorcycling around India with Spaniard Ori Llopis. In the upper reaches of the Kullu Valley, high in the Himalaya, Blaze and Ori meet an eclectic group of travelers and are immersed in a world of drugs, raves, full-moon parties, and culture clashes. They also come face-to-face with mysterious disappearances of international backpackers.
While contemplating this mystery, Blaze meets a beautiful Israeli girl, Rena. As the budding relationship starts to blossom, Blaze and Rena are confronted by a malevolent force that will thrust them into an epic struggle and take them to the limits of survival as they try desperately to escape its grip.
Find out how Blaze and Rena confront this evil as they wrestle in the fight of their lives.
I was hooked by page two and honestly didn't want to put this book down. Kullu is one of those suspense thrillers that completely pulls you into the story and refuses to let go. The writing is so immersive that I felt like I was traveling right alongside Blaze through the breathtaking beauty and danger of the Kullu Valley. The mystery unfolds at just the right pace, and I found myself genuinely invested in the characters and anxious to see what would happen next.
One of my favorite parts of the story was Rena. She isn't a damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. She's intelligent, brave, resourceful, and more than capable of fighting for herself. I loved that she was written as a true partner instead of someone who simply needed saving. There were definitely moments that had my heart racing. Some scenes became surprisingly intense, but the payoff was absolutely worth every page. The suspense kept building, the atmosphere was unforgettable, and I never stopped caring about the people at the center of the story. If you're looking for a thriller that blends adventure, mystery, and just the right amount of emotion, I highly recommend giving Kullu a read.
Kullu by Dempsey Andrews had me on the edge of my seat. It was full of suspense and heightened emotions. Further, it explored relationships and travel. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys adventure and loves getting caught up in the lives of the characters. I’m looking forward to Book 2!
I really enjoyed this book. It definitely digs into the darker side of humanity, and pushes the reader to contemplate what they would do to survive a worst case scenario. It definitely took a lot of curves I was not expecting and was hard to put down!
This book very well written. Once I started it I could not put it down. It grabbed me from the start. The characters are exciting and interesting. I can’t wait for more from this author.
