Fake Dating My Ex's Sister: A Steamy Sapphic Romance

Rate this book
I wanted revenge on my ex. I didn’t plan on falling for her older sister.

Dani

When my girlfriend of four years dumps me in front of forty-seven people and replaces me three days later, I want to set something on fire. Instead, I formulate a plan. I’m going to walk into her parents' massive anniversary party looking incredible, doing perfectly fine, and holding the hand of a massive upgrade.

The only problem? The perfect fake date is Liza Hart. My ex's older sister. She’s an icy, high-powered litigation attorney who treats her life like a courtroom. She loves rules. I love breaking them. But when I ask her to be my fake girlfriend, she agrees with a terrifying intensity.

Liza

I have been the reliable, overlooked, responsible sister for thirty-three years. I’ve also been in love with Dani Reyes for four of them. I’ve sat across from her at holiday dinners, watching her with my sister, silently cataloging her laugh, her terrible coffee order, and the way she wears a leather jacket.

When she asks me to fake date her to make my sister jealous, I know it’s a terrible idea. I’m a lawyer; I know a bad deal when I see one. But I agree anyway, because a fake relationship is better than no relationship at all.

It was supposed to be a strategy. It was supposed to be practice. But the second the door closes and the audience is gone, the lines blur. Dani is messy, reckless, and breaking through every wall I’ve ever built.

Now, the anniversary party is looming, the family tension is explosive, and I have to figure out how to convince the woman I love that she was never my second choice.

Fake Dating My Ex's Sister is a steamy, high-angst, dual-POV sapphic romance featuring mutual pining, intense chemistry, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

There’s a need for an AI label at the beginning of books like this. Disappointed

If you're afraid of forgetting details of the story along the way, don't worry! At least a quarter of the book are just repetitions and drawbacks to what was mentionned and said before, multiple times. It's like the book was just made from chapters published weekly, which needed a reminder of what happened. I know what happened honey, I read it 2 pages ago!!
Moreover, there are several instances where the characters viewpoints were switched, in the middle of a chapter, which makes it confusing for a bit. Then you try seeing it from the other woman's side and it clicks.
Regarding the steamy scenes, excluding the locations, the positions and performance were all very similars.
The story is okay, the wording is readable. I stopped enjoying it at around 75% of the book but kept reading in spite of that, because I had to finish it.

fake dating..

I started as fake dating a way to get back at her ex who dumped her at a party. Dani hadn’t known Natalie’s sister Liza had been in love with her for 4 years when she came up with the plan to get back at Natalie. Now there were all kinds of complications.

Holy cow! The tension that Dani doesn’t feel or even the gazes from Liza, phew! The dating between them starts as a revenge move against Natalie. The moment and scene that Dani realizes it’s not fake to Liza is priceless and how fast they burn for each other is delicious. The hot scenes could scorch the sheets, ruining them and loving it. There is so much depth to Liza that it’s amazing no one took the time to learn this about her. This was a rollercoaster of huge feelings that slowly emerged and turned from fake to real. The journey was emotional and sometimes heartbreaking. I’m still left speechless and love these 2 FMCs. Wow!

Great story

This was a sweet story about misunderstandings and hurt feelings that spiral out of control before ultimately leading to a satisfying happy ending. The dual POV flows smoothly and keeps the story engaging. My only criticism is the number of inconsistencies throughout the text. At times, sentences within the same chapter contradict each other, the narration references dialogue that never occurred, or the speaker changes unexpectedly within a chapter. These editing issues were distracting, but I still enjoyed the story overall.

ex girlfriend and the sister that lived her from afar

Wow the bitchy sister who dumped her and then the quiet reserved older sister who had lived and loved her for years the ups and downs family infrastructure but finally finding themselves🌹🌈

the plot was great but

The plot was great but the story was extremely repetitive, it also reminded me of how AI respond in an AI chat.
