About the author

Yoshihiro Togashi (冨樫義博) is a manga artist. Credited in Chinese translations as Fu Jian Yi Bo.

He began drawing manga at an early age; while he attended college, the publisher Shueisha recognized his talent. Togashi has authored numerous manga series in different genres during the past three decades. He is perhaps best known for writing and illustrating the YuYu Hakusho and Hunter × Hunter series, both of which have been published in the popular Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Togashi is married to Naoko Takeuchi, the author of Sailor Moon.

never doubt togashi!!! the succession war arc is one of the most interesting arcs i have read. it is so dense and everyone is making their moves and with so many characters, they all get their time. it was great to see chrollo and the spiders starting to make their moves AND HISOKA (the real one) SHOWS UP AHHHHHH. i love dseeing what kurapika, wobble, and the princes were up to (esp the 9th) but the higlhight for me ws morena. she is so interesting and scary and i cant wait to see what this arc has to offer

It feels so good returning to this world! Love the way this series gets you really into it and makes you understand all the complicated nen-abilities for example. Eagerly waiting for future chapters!

Siento que me afectó no haber releído algunos capítulos anteriores o, al menos, haberme puesto al día sobre el punto exacto en el que había quedado el manga. Aun así, traté de avanzar recordando y revisando quién era cada personaje y qué estaba ocurriendo con sus respectivas tramas.

Pero incluso haciendo ese esfuerzo, siento que es demasiada información para un solo tomo. Está todo lo relacionado con Kurapika, los movimientos del primer y noveno príncipe, el tercero y el misterio de las monedas, para luego complicarlo todavía más con una negociación a través de cartas para reclutar una potencial usuaria del nen tipo Especialista. Además, vuelve a aparecer Hisoka y se profundiza un poco más en lo que Chrollo tiene en mente. Son demasiadas piezas moviéndose simultáneamente.

Tengo la sensación de que Togashi está intentando poner todos los ingredientes sobre la mesa para preparar el gran comienzo de lo que podría ser la parte final de este arco. Y eso me genera curiosidad, porque se nota que muchas de estas líneas eventualmente tendrán que encontrarse.

Aun así, la historia se siente demasiado difusa por momentos. Hay tantos puntos de vista y conflictos desarrollándose en paralelo que cuesta identificar dónde poner realmente la atención. No creo que eso sea necesariamente algo malo, porque esa complejidad también es parte de lo que propone este arco, pero al intentar abarcar tanto, siento que por momentos se pierde un poco el foco.

The negotiation scene as a card game is such a HxH thing and turns a lore dump into something engaging to read. Morena Prudo's story/reveal is so intriguing I wonder what her role in the story will be by the end

With this my Hunter X Hunter journey comes to an end. Just catching up on the newest batch of chapters.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the switch from the main story to the Succession War is like an entirely different manga and they both hit hard, although I’m privy to the drama and political intrigue of the Succession War. Truly a masterpiece of fiction. Yum

Al corriente con el cap 410.

Mucho setup lo que va del arco, pero pinta fenomenal. Como pedir en un restaurante con tres estrellas Michelín, ver cómo van trayendo los ingredientes más frescos y de calidad, y ADEMÁS ver al chef hibachi prepararla enfrente de ti y hacer trucos cool con los utensilios de cocina.
