one night to something more
No pregnancy trope.
I actually really enjoyed this book. This series has been a good one. Loved the first generation and the second generation is just as good. Sammie J is one hell of a man. Believing women have autonomy, and can take care of themselves, and is possessive and gorgeous.
Poppy is wild and free. Living with so much loss she has no interest in ever settling down .
The book is a fun easy read. Simple plot.

Poppy is in town for her best friend’s bachelorette weekend when she meets Sammie Jr., the son of Lailani and Sammie from His Lair. The attraction between them is instant, but with Poppy living in Vegas and Sammie in Texas, they have to figure out if what they found together is strong enough to survive two very different worlds.
Man, I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Right off the bat, what I loved most was that their relationship was about so much more than physical attraction. Sure, the chemistry was there from the start, but it was the easiness between them that really sold me. Despite the insta-love vibes, nothing about their relationship felt forced or like toxic possessive. They just naturally fell into each other, and honestly, they made so much sense together. The real conflict never really came from their relationship, it came from the circumstances surrounding them if that makes sense.
Poppy was SUCH a fun FMC, I had a blast reading her. She was full of life, confident, outgoing, and completely comfortable being herself. And I absolutely LOVED that she wore the pants in this relationship. Sammie Jr. was more than happy to let her shine, and it was honestly so refreshing. No unnecessary alpha male ego, no sir.
And speaking of our beloved Sammie Jr.? Yep…he is definitely his father's son. Protective, kind, eccentric and completely devoted to the people he loves. I especially loved seeing him as a brother because his relationship with his baby sister was so healthy and supportive. He respects women, respects boundaries, but at the same time knows when Poppy is simply running from her feelings and isn't afraid to gently challenge her on it. Man, I love Emilio but Sammie Jr was coming in hot on my list of top Kylie Kent men.
Of course, one of my favourite parts of these second generation books continues to be seeing all our beloved first generation couples thriving. Lailani absolutely stood out in this one. I loved seeing that she and Sammie are still so deeply in love, and I'm very happy to report that she's still the same baddie running the show.
Emmanuel AKA Tio E is basically everyone's favourite uncle and I adore him so much. I swear this man steals every scene he appears in. I loved seeing how involved he still is with all his nieces and nephews, spoiling the girls, looking out for the boys, and just being the heart of this found family.
I'm so excited for Alfie's book next as we continue finding all these second-gen kids their forever people. And I have to say, the introduction to the Kestrel family's dirty cowboy world has me completely intrigued already. I love the different directions Kylie takes with her mafia worlds, whether it's Vegas, New York, or now Texas. Somehow she always makes each setting feel fresh while still giving us that same family centered emotional and heartwarming magic that keeps me coming back for more.

Absolutely devoured this read! Once it hit my inbox, read in one sitting, I could not put it down! I knew straight away reading this was going to absolutely fantastic, especially when I was giggling over the banter between Sammie and Poppy within the first few chapters.
Loved Poppy's direct approach about asking for what she wants, living in the moment, never shying away. The special things and gifts she got for her best friend Alice was really precious.
Sammie with his protective nature from the beginning, which instilled from his mother I'm sure, to look after Poppy and her best friend setting off their first encounter knowing after he could not forget about her that easily. Sammie's love for his sister, the dinner dates he would take her on, O melts my heart so much🥰
The whole banter with all the families/characters in this read I really thoroughly enjoyed. So upfront, easy going, honest but more importantly the very loyal and protective nature they all have for each other. I laughed a lot with some of the comments and comebacks they would throw out to each other. I could not get enough.
Easy flow and written very well as always. The suspenseful plot recovering the truth.
Loving this next generation, I can't wait for Alfie next in this series, let's see who can tame this play boy!!!

He loves his parents, and he has a special relationship with his younger sister. There’s nothing he won’t do for her. Other than that, he doesn’t care about anyone else. Until the day he sees Poppy, a young woman dancing on top of his bar. He wants her from the minute he meet her. When he tells her to get down, they flirt a little and they end up spending the night together. He doesn’t expect to like her so much and when he wakes up alone, he’s actually upset. He wants to see her again so he tracks her down. What will happen when he finds her.
Poppy is a fun, carefree, wild spirit. She loves to party. She’s in Vegas celebrating her best friend who’s about to get married. She wants her to have the time of her life. She’s only there for the weekend so she isn’t planning on meeting anybody. When her song starts, she gets on top of the bar and starts dancing like she doesn’t care about anything. She is just living her best life when a very handsome guy tells her to get down. They flirt and talk and have an incredible night together. However, the next morning she sneaks out of the room to avoid seeing him. She doesn’t think she’s ever gonna see him again so why be there when he wakes up. Kylie Kent had me falling for both Poppy and Sammy Junior. Poppy is so loyal to her best friend. She makes her feel like she’s the center of the universe. She’s very carefree, but she also hides her sadness. I loved how Sammy Junior got her to open up. They had very cute scenes together and very hot ones. Sammy Junior was the sweetest. I was not expecting him to have such a beautiful heart. The relationship he has with his younger sister was amazing. The way he treats Poppy, is admirable. I loved the friendships and the bond the guys have. I also loved Poppy‘s family. This was such an emotional roller coaster. It’s filled with drama, heat, danger, action, humor, sweet moments, secrets, suspense, and devastating twists.

**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars) — A fantastic, one-sitting read with top-tier banter and zero miscommunication!**
Another fantastic read from Kylie Kent! The flow of the story, the characters, the plot, the dialogue—all of it was amazing. I read this book in one sitting. That might be partly because it was a shorter read, but mostly it was just because I couldn't put it down! To me, Kylie Kent simply isn't capable of writing a bad book.
We get Sammie Junior—the son of Sammie and Lailani from *His Lair*—as our MMC, and naturally, he has taken up his father's business. I loved how protective he was, especially of his sister, Imogen. Their relationship was so cute, and I loved their weekly dinner dates just so he could check in on her. I also really appreciated that while he was protective, he wasn't controlling; he let her make her own choices. It was also a refreshing change that Sammie wasn't your typical playboy! He wasn't a virgin, of course, but he didn't make chasing women half his personality.
Our FMC is Poppy, and I absolutely loved her! I loved how feisty she was and that she wasn't afraid to ask for exactly what she wanted. She was so unapologetically loud and proud to be exactly who she was. As with most FMCs in this genre, she has a tragic backstory, but that didn't stop her from living her best, fun-filled life! I also adored her relationship with her best friend, Alice.
Both Sammie Junior and Poppy have commitment issues they have to work on, but they are inexplicably drawn to each other from the moment they meet. I honestly loved them together. They were so open with each other (hooray for not having to deal with the miscommunication trope!). Their dialogue and banter were top-tier—I was cracking up! And the spice? It wasn't over-the-top constant, but when it did happen? Phew!
I feel like the mystery at the end could have been fleshed out a little bit more, but I am totally okay with the way it wrapped up. Plus, the plot twist was one I definitely didn't see coming!
Now I am (not so patiently) waiting for Alfie's book to come out. He is definitely a playboy, so it will be really interesting to see what kind of woman will be able to tame him! I also can't wait to see what the Kestrel Ranch brothers are going to bring us when that book releases!

The goddess @ has blessed me again with another one of her amazing stories. We are in 2nd generation of the Vegas series. It is an interconnected series and they all are perfect so go read them. Trust me.
Sammie Jr
Son to Sammie (His Lair) and heir to his father's throne. Sammie Jr and his "cousins" are going to take over for their father's and work together to run Las Vegas and the underworld. He's ruthless and to the point but soft when it comes to his family especially his little sister. He never wanted to settle down but one look at the women who was dancing on his bar top and he was ready for forever. I loved how hard he loves those important to him. Especially when it comes to Poppy. He would chance her around the world if he had to. He seriously is amazing and I cant get over how perfect he is. His interactions with his whole family Especially his sister warmed my heart. Especially because he's the one who respects the women in their lives the most. His mother is still a badA and I loved seeing this side of her.
Poppy
She is fierce and never wants to get married because of what she's seen people in love do. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and take what she wants. I loved how she didn't let anyone tell her what to do and put everyone in their place. Her reaction to the kitchen scene really made me think her family was in organized crime too (which could still be a possiblity) She's smart, quick witted and stands up for what she believes in.
I loved how much we got to see Sammies sister Especially for when they went to Texas. She is so strong and ruthless and absolutely took after her mother haha. I hope she also gets a story.
Sammie J being the only one who didn't try to control his sister and her dating life was seriously the best. He has manners but also knows women can take care of themselves.

And we are now at the third book in the Owning Vegas second generation series and this book focus on Sammie Jr (Son of Sammie & Lailani) and Poppy.
Now how these two meet is that Poppy is in Vegas for her best friends bachelorette party and on the final night the find themselves in an establishment owned by Sammie Jrs family. While Sammie is walking through his club he spots one of his bartenders trying to coax a woman down from dancing on the table and let’s just say his interest is piqued.
Of course one thing lead to another and the pair had a wild night in which Poppy sneaks out early in the morning to catch her flight. I think everyone knows by now that what happens in Vegas very much does not stay in Vegas as when Sammie awakes to an empty bed he is determined to track Poppy down because she is the only woman that has captured his attention in a very long time.
With Sammies resources he easily tracks Poppy down to her hometown in Texas and immediately flies out to her only to show up at her place of work the following day. Sammie makes it known that he has unfinished business with Poppy and he is determined to go after what he wants.
Poppy was a great FMC, she was feisty and certainly didn’t back down when it came to Sammie which is definitely something he loved about her. She was a character who also had her walls built quite high due to her past and Sammie was determined to bring down these walls, only to uncover that his family seemed to be tangled up in her past. But Sammie was determined to prove his family’s innocence while also getting Poppy the justice she deserved.
Side note but I loved how welcoming Sammies family was to Poppy, especially his mother 🥹
I loved these two together and I cannot wait for the next installment in the Kylieverse. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

While Sammie is walking through his club he spots one of his bartenders trying to coax a woman down from dancing on the table and let’s just say his interest is piqued.
Of course one thing lead to another and the pair had a wild night in which Poppy sneaks out early in the morning to catch her flight. I think everyone knows by now that what happens in Vegas very much does not stay in Vegas as when Sammie awakes to an empty bed he is determined to track Poppy down because she is the only woman that has captured his attention in a very long time.
With Sammies resources he easily tracks Poppy down to her hometown in Texas and immediately flies out to her only to show up at her place of work the following day. Sammie makes it known that he has unfinished business with Poppy and he is determined to go after what he wants.
Poppy was a great FMC, she was feisty and certainly didn’t back down when it came to Sammie which is definitely something he loved about her. She was a character who also had her walls built quite high due to her past and Sammie was determined to bring down these walls, only to uncover that his family seemed to be tangled up in her past. But Sammie was determined to prove his family’s innocence while also getting Poppy the justice she deserved.
Side note but I loved how welcoming Sammies family was to Poppy, especially his mother 🥹
I loved these two together and I cannot wait for the next installment in the Kylieverse. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

Well Poppy had no chance resisting Sammie Jnr. The man is seems to be the perfect 50/50 of his parents. Sammie J has his dad’s swagger and charm and his mums sweet side mixed with her intensity.
One night in vegas with just her and her best friend celebrating her bachelorette party was all Poppy wanted before they headed home. That’s exactly what she’s having when Sammie enters the picture.
The woman dancing on the very expensive bar too immediately snags Sammie’s attention and when she opens his mouth it only increases. She’s feisty and sassy and he kind of likes that she says what she’s thinking.
It supposed to be one night but after she sneaks out in the morning before he wakes Sammie finds himself thinking about her a lot and even goes to the effort to find out who she is. Without too much thought Sammie heads off to track her down.
Poppy heads back home planning to keep her weekend in Vegas to herself but when the man himself shows up in a three piece suit with the soul purpose of seeing her again word gets out pretty quickly.
Now they have to navigate families, distance, a past that pops back up and some danger.
It’s funny how equally resistant these two were on a relationship. Sammie because he just didn’t do relationship and Poppy because of insecurity, hurt and fear.
It was Sammie who wanted something casual but it was also him who wanted more first. Poppy pushed back every time Sammie got to close but there was no way she could hold up against the Sammie Russo charm.
This second generation has been a great addition to the Kylie Kent Universe and I loving riding the wave of these new couple while still getting to enjoy the old ones.
I’m excited for the rest of this second generation to get books too.

For two people who say Never to getting married, it didn't take them long to hooking up.Now they have to work on staying together and one big fat secret may cause to split permanently,Poppy was told that a certain cartel took out her mother,so when she hears Sammie J 's uncle's name that brings more bad memories and she bolts and wants nothing to with Sammie J.He does fine out why she left him and he swears his family has nothing to do with her mother's death and Sammie will fine out with happen.So Sammie J has that to Handel plus the very sad news that his sister Imogen is sick,seriously sick and they are very close.Believe me that came out of field when I read that,I thought she was going to say she was pregnant or something,so when I read what was wrong with her,my heart for Sammie J,him being so close to his sister and all.Poppy was there and also for Imogen and the comforting words she said to her put a tear in my eye.Now Poppy can rest and be at peace over the lost of her parents and the new members of her family will be there to hold her hand if needed.

Sammie & Poppy
Did I love the couple in this book? Yes, but more than that I love the family vibes. The banter between the 4 sets of parents from the original series and all their children is so off the charts fun. Not to mention the introduction to a whole new setting and family for future series’s.
When I say one look was all it took to bring down both of these MC’s that’s exactly what I mean. From the moment Sammie spotted Poppy across the room he was a goner. While it took a little more convincing for Poppy, she knew right away off that he would be something different. Sammie went for what he wanted even when he didn’t realize he was already in love with her. But Poppy tried her best to run from her feelings due to her past. They were so sweet through the process though and I can’t wait for more of them.

I enjoy all of Kylie Kent‘s books and this one was no exception! I read this book almost in one sitting - while sitting in the pool, so this is the perfect read for a weekend of just lounging!
We have Sammie Jr. who is a lot like his father! Very charming, habdsome and knows how to treat a woman 🤌🏻
Poppy has three overprotective cowboy cousins (yeehaw 🤠). The boys aren‘t too impressed with Sammie Jr. but they quickly deem him worthy of her. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself!

I love Poppy. Although, I will admit that I am her best friend, who is embarrassed that Poppy is on top of a table in the bar dancing. As soon as Poppy and Sammie locked eyes, I felt the sparks flying. I knew he had fallen hard when he flew to another state to see Poppy again.
"I didn't make a deal with the devil, Poppy, I am the devil."
Poppy has so much sass. She keeps Sammie on his toes. In fact, with her wild side, this allows Sammie to let loose more and become cheeky as well. As if he was not already the total package, he is an amazing big brother.
"If he doesn't marry you, I'll adopt another son who will."
There is no resisting Sammie's charm. He and Poppy are meant for each other. As Leann Rimes would say "You Can't Fight the Moonlight"! This book is a must read.

Loved this one.
It had some heavy hitting topics close to my heart but the humour and banter made them a little lighter to bear. It’s a bit heartbreaking this book in a few ways. My heart for the FMC and her family trauma was rough. Then there is the Russo heartbreak my heart was breaking for the family and frankly I thought it was something else being announced not that. Honestly the banter with these families is so good it sucks you in and they are so easy to read and get lost in. I can’t wait for cowboys stories so excited. Found family, Mafia,

Well, Sammie Jr. has officially stole my heart, probably even faster than his father did! This man knew what he wanted the instant he saw it, took it, and refused to give it back....all while denying what those feelings truly meant. Poppy wasn't about to make anything easy for him and I LOVED that! She made him work and he had no problem getting the job done. She threw out challenges left and right while he completely walked through them. The banter was fantastic, the spice was hot, and the characters were so much fun! Seriously, from beginning to end I was hanging on to every word. This series just continues to get better and better!

Sammie Jr. is probably my favorite thus far of the 2nd generation. I admire how much he lets women be women and doesn’t treat them like they’re beneath him. I love how close he is with Imogen. When Imogen was talking about getting away and a bucket list I thought something happened with a guy for her to be afraid of life, not the fact that she may be dying. I’m glad that Sammie didn’t give up and worked on figuring out what happened to Poppy’s parents. But now that I have finished the book I feel like I need to find another Kylie book to read.

A lovely story that follows Poppy and Sammie Jr is book 3 of owning vegas second gen series is really truly amazing The plot and twist of this book was everything I didn't think the plot in this book is who it was been a way I know it wasn't a manual because of him being badass but it was shocking and there are sets things about this book because of his sister but she needs a book but 10 out of 10 recommend this book and how they both fall heavy in love with each other from the first moment they met love at first sight 🥰🥰🥰

I love the owning Vegas series and I do like the second generation series so far I do feel like these are really short and they’re kind of rushed. I mean in this particular book they go from strangers to engaged in less than 300 pages. And there’s three or four complete other stories going on during the book as well.
And with the MMC and FMC both really young. It’s very hard to get into the romance side of this.

I loved this book. I thought it initially started a bit slow but that thought left me the more I read the story. Now I want an Imogene story.
I love Sammie J and Poppy together and I need to see the next chapter of their story Kylie!!! Please make that happen.

It's really good catching up with the families in Las Vegas the new generation are making their mark in the same would as their parents...
I really enjoyed this story, the characters are just how the reader would expect them to be but older, Sammie J's mum is still the dangerous lady that she was in the original books. She was always my favourite, strong and tough with a heart of gold.
She's taking in Poppy now and I'm sure we'll read more any them in future books...
