Highly enjoyed knowing/finding out the ending of this series and where the characters ended up.

It did feel like the beginning of the book’s pacing was slow to build. It also felt like the book was written focusing on descriptions and metaphors for time. At one point i did find myself zoning out and wondering when they were actually gonna do something. The majority of the action of the plot occurs within the last 20% of the book, which felt on the rushed side.

Maybe it was because the characters spent a lot of time discussing what had already happened and what to do next that made it feel slow?

Maybe I expected a bigger ending and more impactful storyline after reading forward and backward. This very much reads like “resolved.” Or “here is the resolution”. Whereas not a whole lot of new information is given but previous events are discussed at length.

The romance that was written between the action felt repetitive (at which point felt unnecessary to include), which was discussed by the characters. Like, we get it, youre in love, thats your person. It also felt like the title was related only to the romance but the romance wasnt set up to be the main story line of the book. I would have liked to see more time related mechanisms throughout rather than just at like 2-3 points in the story. In the other books, the romance added to the forgetfulness of the vibes rather than being a whole separate thing where characters split off and there was a visible pause in the main story arc.

Still enjoyed it, but not as good as the first two.

Arc Review

I was so happy when this finally hit my inbox. It was everything I needed and more. It begins with everyone returned home, memories gone and the Queens instance that no one was to ever tell them the truth. Hurtful right? Family and friends avoiding you and indefinitely keeping secrets because they think it's helpful? Well, that all goes down the drain when each of them are picked off and carried back to find proof for the truth. They go through many trials. There's a good bit of heartbreak in here. I was excited to realize I was right about something! The ending was absolutely amazing.

"New and old together, something that had deep roots and brand-new flowers at the same time."

"..Whoever made you made the stars in the sky and the rivers on the ground, possibly in one breath."
