Based on a true story, this is a Companion Novella in the Ghost No More Series. This book is near and dear to my heart because my readers contributed to it. Thankful for all those brave quotes.
One night changed CeeCee’s life forever.
At only seventeen, CeeCee is out on the streets. For her, it is all about finding a place to sleep and something to eat. Yet, just when staying alive can't get any harder, she meets someone worse off than herself. The last thing she needs is to get involved in someone else's troubles, but even though she wants to, she can't just walk away - or can she?
Not intended for readers under the age of 15 due to subject matter.
CeeCee James is masterful once again. In the moving Fear No More, she completes her triology of the recount of her ascent from the shadow of abuse and despair. Her early life reads like a horror novel, but sadly it isn't. That she has emerged into the light and into the happiness everyone deserves is a credit to her resolve and spirit. That she chose to share her life with us is a gift. Beautifully constructed as I've come to expect from CeeCee, Fear No More is a fast and engrossing read, depicting the last straw in her life in her birth home. I heartily recommend this book.
This newest edition to the Ghost No More series really drove home to me, once again, just how much CeeCee has gone through and what an amazing person she has become because of it. Book 3 is a short sequel that pertains directly to book # 1. It is about an incident that she just wasn't ready to talk about at the time of the first book. After much prayer and through the grace of God, she's ready to share it now. As a reader, I am thankful that she did. CeeCee is an incredibly talented writer who managed to make you feel as of you are actually in her shoes as the events are taking place. It's important for those of us who have overcome these situations to tell our stories so that others may know that it's not their fault and they are not alone. CeeCee's stories give hope and show her intense faith in God. I can truly see God using the Ghost No More series to help abused and battered children for years to come. Thank you so much for giving your testimony.
The writer has delved into the feelings during the incidents. I felt I was there with each experience. Honest emotions that the reader can see and feel as the story is shared. Amazing that the writer has the strength to share this; but for the graced of God. Well written and very important testimony
This book is highly recommend to survivors of abuse that has left them alone and abandoned. Having survived abuse as a child I related well to how CeeCee James felt after being abused.
Excellent job of revealing the emotions and incidents of her story. Such a terrible story to live, but excellent survival and overcoming the challenges and fears to become who she is now.
I absolutely loved reading this book and am sharing it with others. As a victim of abuse in my childhood, and a Certified Peer Supporter now- the book took me in and held it in it's grip till the end of the story. You want to fight for her and give her the hope she needs to get out of the situation. Wonderfully written! I recommend this book to other victims, to peer supporters and anyone else who is a shoulder to cry on for someone.
This book is very well put together it takes courage and strength to admit that first step of powerlessness, but once ceecee had done that the results are so well worded in this wonderful book.
What this woman endured is painful to read. Not because of he writing, but because of the horror. There are so many depressing stories out there, I hesitate to read another one, and yet I feel I owe it to CeeCee James to read this and say "Bravo for telling your truth."
I'm glad when people of victimization share their story and thereby find healing, but I found this account a little confusing. There is an incident on the bus, but was there more to it than what was actually written out? That didn't seem to be enough to cause the pain Cee Cee described unless it had more to do with the fact that to even ALMOST be a victim of violence after suffering abuse as a child would be the problem.
