This was a story of moving from survival to actually living. Dru had a very tough life at the hands of one of the most awful book mothers I’ve encountered in a long time. Because of that, she made it her mission to care for and protect her little sister, Dreya, to the best of her ability. I really admired the way she sacrificed her own dreams and goals in order to make sure Dreya was good.
Caden is rich, powerful, and completely enamored with Dru from the moment he meets her. I appreciated that he didn’t bulldoze his way into her life, instead he showed up consistently through actions, reassurance, and intentional care to offer her a softer, more stable life. He actively removed obstacles in her path and created a sense of safety that allowed her to exist outside of constant survival mode for the first time in her life. I also liked that, despite her initial hesitation, Dru didn’t push him away in the overly stubborn way we often see with hyper-independent FMCs.
Their love is quick and intense, so if you don’t enjoy instalove romances, this probably won’t be for you. The book doesn’t lack emotion (definitely check trigger warnings) or drama (her mother truly had me speechless at times) But overall, this was a sweet and satisfying love story about survival, protection, and what it looks like to finally step out of survival mode and experience what it means to be cared for. I really enjoyed this one.

DRU AND CADEN
Love at first sight. I really enjoyed this book. Caden came into Dru's life at the perfect time. Dru and her sister Dreya went through so much with their mother. What I loved about Dru was her grind and determination to make sure Dreya had the best. Things definitely changed for the better once Caden showed just how supportive and protective he was of Dru and Dreya. I loved how welcoming his family was to them as well. Despite their troubled upbringing, they were able to thrive and achieve the goals they always wanted.

Caden came in and truly changed Dru’s life for the better and I loved that for her. She was immediately able to embrace the soft life and allow him to take care of her the way she had been taking care of everyone else. It was good seeing her and Dreya thrive after being removed from sharing a home with their mother.
Their mother might have been the most toxic and nasty person I’ve read in a while. I kept wondering what led to her being the way she was, but after seeing how her mother took Dreya in, I realized that some people can truly just be despicable without any reason. While some scenes weren’t completely written out on page, the implication of what happened was hard to get through as well without feeling angry or sad that Dreya and Dru had to go through them, but nothing that was done to them could dim their light and they both thrived and were loved by Caden and his family and their granny.
This was a very good read and I would recommend it.

This book had me in all my emotions. Tina was a sucked up human being and she never should have been a mother or even called one for what she did to her daughters. I’m glad she got her karma in the end. I’m also glad that Dru (despite all her trauma) she got her happily ever after.

Oh Caden Caden Caden, he came into Dru and Dre life right at the correct time. He aided them both in making a complete 180 because their mother was taking them through there. Tina has a special place she will be resting her spirit. She was an absolute monster to her daughters. It was refreshing to read Dru finally breathe a breath of fresh air after meeting Caden. He expediously started to turn her dark days into a ray of sunshine. She started beaming so hard she influenced her sister and made her grandmother proud. Dru can finally have all the things that little girls dream of at her big age. The career, house, 2.5 kids, and white picket fence with her husband as their leader. While Dre be a teenager and enjoy her college years.
Ms. B. Love you did this however your work never disappoints. You penmanship has always been fire and you understand every assignment that has been assigned to you. So ladies and gents grab your copy and take the journey with Dru and Caden. It's a few jaw dropping scenes and a wave of emotions but a true page turner.

Whatever this author puts out is always a good for me. Caden and Dru made the perfect couple. He rescued /helped her out in her time of need. He had the perfect in, to pursue & love on her.
Dru worked hard taking care and protecting her baby sister, whom her mom used in an abusive way. She literally took care of Drey, as if she were her mother. Their mom, Tina was clearly a piece of work. Unfit period!
Loved the maturity of both. No games! Nothong forced. He allowed her to set the pace and he followed. Plus, she realized that she was just existing not living. He was instrumental in helping her with both. Caden was intentional in his pursuit. He was protective, loyal, giving, honest, and full of love.
I liked Caden's family dynamics and how his family instantly accepted her into theirs.

Dru and her sister, Dreya, had gone through a lot with their foul mother, Tina. That all changed when Caden came into Dru's life. Caden was immediately intrigued and wanted to give Dru the world. This book had so many emotional moments between Caden and Dru throughout the book that had me swooning. Caden literally saved Dru's life in order for her to live the soft life that she deserved. Caden was also able to heal and protect Dru's heart and that was something that was essential for her. I didn't feel sorry for the treacherous people who threatened Dru and Dreya's well-being. They got what they deserved and needed. There were a lot of memorable moments in this book, and I highly recommend you read it as well.

As always,d B doesn't miss. This story was good. Dru and Dreya deserved all the happiness in the world especially since Tina was their mother. That chick was way too merch!! Miss ma'am didn't give a s#$& about her kids. She was horrible to say the least.
Caden said he didn't know if it was love at first sight, but I can tell you it was. He was all about Dru from the jump. He wanted to live in her skin. I love the way he ushered Dru into her soft girl era. She had been going so hard to protect her little sister, that she forgot how to just live and be in the moment.

Enjoyed it…the good, bad, ugly, and beauty of this story. For those you truly love especially family you’ll do anything even tire yourself out to ensure they’re good. Dru endured and witnesses some tough things and deserved peace, protection, and a soft life. I loved that Caden was genuine and a true gentleman and lover and only wanted to give her that life. The she shed scene took me out 🤧😭😭 His family was so beautiful in how they embraced her mini family. By any means necessary he’d do what it takes to set her free and help her heal and escape her trauma. 10/10

I loved that Dru was able to live that soft life that Caden was able to provide because she deserved it after everything she and Dreya done been through. Her momma Tina hit a nerve with me and I couldn't stand her and her unfit ways as a mother and she got exactly what she deserved. Even at a young age I was glad Dreya was able to overcome what she been through. The relationship that Dru and Dreya had was unmatched and I loved how much they loved each other. Caden was a man's man and the way he came in and took over was such a turn on because he handled business without question.

amazing story
Sooo let me just say Dru and Dreya’s momma, Galloway and Vontae made my blood boil!!!!! If it was one time I wish I could transport myself into a story and handle business for them, this was it!!! Her momma is beyond grimy!!!!! But her and Galloway got what they had coming. Whew!!! When I tell you Caden and his family are top notch people, my goodness. The she shed scene took me out and was crying right along with them. Dru and Dreya deserved every bit of happiness they had coming to them. I just loved Marilyn and Caden’s family to the fullest! Definitely enjoyed this book and highly recommend.

I love the sincerity of Caden's personality. I love that Dru fought for her sister. I have no words for the birth donor. Her mindset was in fighting mode. Caden was the air she needed to breathe. Where can I find me a Caden? This man walked into Dru’s life and never left. Dru worked two jobs to take care of herself and sister because she had a trifling mother who used and abused them. Unfortunately, Dru was put in a situation that had her trusting the wrong people. After meeting Caden, he made it his business to take care of her in all ways. The book was well written, flowed well and kept my attention. It touched on sexual assault, trafficking, blackmail, bullying, betrayal and violence.

It was sad to see what Dru and Dre had to go through. Some women are not fit to be mothers. I am glad she got what she deserved. Dru life to her on a path that helped her develop into the person she needed to become.

An awesome read! Caden was very direct and intentional when it came to Dru! Dru was everything to her sister Dreya & their mama was worthless! Family, love, loyalty and respect is what you will find in this story along with some deceit, selfishness, emotional and physical abuse, having said all of that the ending will bring tears to your eyes and you won't be disappointed!

Dru took care of business
Dru took care of her sister and that what caused her to be put into a crazy situation that her mother Tina put her in. Tina was a heck of a mammy and I’m trying to see what she did with all that money she was making if she had her daughter paying rent. I liked Caden he was rich and fine. CEO me please
It makes no sense how much Caden will a girl swoon. There’s nothing more an attractive than a man with a good heart, intentional, honest and standing on business. I loved Dru and Dreya’s relationship. Galloway, Harold and Tina deserved so much more for their crimes against humanity. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

He meant business
You have to normalize taking the title of a person out of your feelings. Dru should have been handled Tina and things wouldn't have gotten that far. Thank the heavens for Caden and Lorenzo though because they saved her and her sister from years of trauma and turmoil.

Caden was just what Dru needed.
Tina… that darn Tina 🤬 I can’t believe the type of mother she was. Dru came across Caden right on time. He came in and made her days brighter. Helped her out in so many ways. Her and her lil sis, Dreya. I wish she would’ve been went to Marilyn for help and support. Things worked out in the end though. Enjoyed this read!

Real life love story
Caden and Dru come together when she gets into some mess dealing with her momma who is low down trash. Caden saves her and her sister from a stress free life. He shows her love and a soft life that she’s never had. This was a beautiful book which showed that it doesn’t matter how you start, you can always get better.

Powerful
When God sends you someone to truly see you and love you how you should be loved. Caden and his family were everything Dru and Dreya needed. The trauma they received from their mother no less was horrific, she should not have been anybody’s mother. Thank you for this depiction of trauma and healing through love and trust.

The trauma they received from their mother no less was horrific, she should not have been anybody’s mother. Thank you for this depiction of trauma and healing through love and trust.

I loved this book.... Tina made me want to Jack her up and she got what she deserved. Caden knew she was going to be his at first sight, I loved how his family loved on her at first sight and after their grandmother was told how their mom was treating them it was on. Dru made sure that she could protect her baby sister with her life.

B. Love did it once again. This book was a great read. Tina was trash abs the worst kind of mother. Caden came through and saved Dru. Dru had given up her life to be there for her sister and never had anyone to be there for her until Caden.

Soft life
Talk about a trash mother Tina was the worst but Dru had that protective spirit & looked out for her sister…..now Mr Caden was that man he knew what he wanted the very first meeting…. Caden protected Dru & introduced her to that soft life

Good read
Tina!!! No words for a mother that was all for herself and put her daughters through so much pain! Trifling is all I’m going to say. Caden was smooth in this book, but going after Dru was predictable once he saw her in the grocery store. Good read overall
