MMM PNR
This was a sweet MMM paranormal romance with 3 men with histories and secrets in forced proximity.
Unlike Fang'd and Claw'd, there isn't an adventure component to this and it's a gentler paced book.
If you haven't read Claw'd for James's back story, there are some notes, but it felt better in the context of having read Fang'd and Claw'd first.
There's a lot of mental health struggles represented here. I appreciated the representation of Edwin's WWI shellshock and the horrors of that war being brought up. I would have preferred to see a trained therapist brought in to help with James's PTSD. There not being any supernatural therapists seemed unrealistic in this context.

Edwin, James, and Trace are all likeable characters, and each of them has a well-delineated, unique personality. Their intersection and mutual agreement to form a throuple seemed to happen perhaps a bit too smoothly to me, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. The story was filled with many mutual hurt/comfort scenes, as James coped with the aftermath of his abuse at the hands of Cormack; Edwin navigated his deep-seated war trauma; and Trace dealt with his own hidden secrets. Dalziel featured heavily in an unexpectedly caring role, and we were also treated to scenes with the ever-lovely Charley and Luc, as well as other peripheral characters from the earlier books in this series. The story’s big reveal gave Trace his very own Beauty and the Beast moment, and it was a pleasure to read. This is a must-read for fans of the Evergreen Council series!

I loved this book so much. I totally adored the characters and the dynamic between them and was happy to dive once more into the awesome world VIN George built. I hope there will be more books in this series as we still haven’t heard about some characters yet. If I had to criticise one teeny tiny point it would be that I missed Alec but just because I have a soft spot for him. O am sure his time will come.

Another heart mending from Vin!
We met vampire Edwin and human James in Claw’d. (If you have not read that or Fang’d/Book 1, go do so! But there is a spoiler-free recap of how they met in the preface of Wing’d). As the story begins, both of them are broken men. Edwin takes James as his shadow, and they move into Eddie’s home. After a hundred years as a vampire, there is a steep remembering curve for Eddie to remember what is required for humans, but they find a way to live together. As they grow more comfortable with each other, they find healing and the beginnings of love.
Trace is a witch who suddenly finds himself imminently homeless. He prevails upon the Evergreen Council for assistance, and finds himself moving into an accessory home on Eddie’s little plot of London. While he’s enamored with both men, he thinks it’s not to be - they have each other, what could either man want with him?
Well, actually, what could they not want with him?
As time goes on, each finds he needs both other men to mend the rended parts of him; Edwin finds love he never thought the universe would allow him again, James finds unconditional acceptance after a traumatic youth, and Trace earns forgiveness from others - and himself - after his foolishness earned him a drastic punishment from his superiors.
I usually don’t care for poly books - I find a lot of them trade the intimacy of a developing romantic relationship for bedroom acrobatics, and often when it’s third in a series, it feels like the “Token Poly Book, every series has to have one, let me plunk it here.” Even if you haven’t read the other novels/novellas in the series, you can feel this relationship comes naturally to/grows out of the characters’ and overall series trajectory. Yes, there are some fiery times (wowsas!) between the three, but Vin has balanced both romance and eroticism so we see complex relationships developing between pairs and the triad as a whole. Each character develops as is right for him, which allows the relationship(s) to grow organically, including a few growing pains, rather than just being three men thrown together into a HEA. You are left believing that they really have earned the right to their forever after.
