What do you think?

Crowned in Fire and Fury
Rhiannon is a strong willed, corporate hot shot who believes she doesn’t need anyone. When her morning run unexpectedly leads to a forbidden magical realm, where a Fae boy is being attacked; you can bet your ass she’s going to help that child or go down swinging.
Outnumbered and close to death, she’s saved by the arrival of Aodhan, the handsome Fae Commander. But just when she thinks her time in the realm of the Tuatha dé Danann has come to an end, the discovery of a long-lost brother changes everything.
An ancient enemy rises to threaten all she holds dear and Rhiannon must choose; will she run? Or face this terrifying new future…even if it means confronting the horrors of her past.
Join Rhiannon and Aodhan in this sexy, modern twist on Irish folklore that fans of Sarah J Maas, Rebecca Yarros and Amber. V. Nicole will love

Easiest first time read I've experienced with fantasy
Normally I avoid any books where romance is integral, but this book has enough blood and guts (and smartmouthed animals) to keep me turning the page, a fantastic debut from a talented writer!

Crowned in Fire and Fury by Rose Woods — WOW! I don’t read a lot of fantasy, but I really enjoyed this. It has romance, but there’s also enough fighting, blood and guts to keep me turning the pages.
Sometimes I never know how to pronounce some of the names in fantasy books, but I think that’s pretty usual for the genre. Thankfully, it didn’t distract me from the story at all.
There are so many strong female characters in this story that you’ll struggle to pick a favourite. I do think Rhiannon, the main female character, is mine. She is strong-willed, but she also has her own grief to deal with. Her morning run unexpectedly leads her into a magical realm, where she comes across a boy being attacked and, as any good person would, she tries to help him.
Also, I love, love, LOVE Aodhan! I absolutely love the overprotective “touch her and die” trope, so how could I not love him?!
There’s some good humour throughout, as well as a couple of great twists that I really enjoyed.
The world-building was also fab for me. I think that can be really important in a story like this, and I thought Rose did a great job of creating a world that I could get lost in.
I’m really looking forward to the next book — well, I’m hoping there will be a book two! Rose, you have to let me know, please! And if you ever get artwork done of Aodhan… I NEED one! 😂
