Myla Rose has been fantasy-obsessed for as long as she can remember. Her preteen self even had a life-size Legolas cutout standing guard in her bedroom. Now, she writes whimsical, spicy romantic fantasies filled with strong heroines, morally gray men, and just the right amount of feminist badassery.

Inspired by Gaelic, Norse, and medieval lore, her stories unfold in a world where magic and nature intertwine, creating lush, immersive adventures that make you want to run barefoot through the woods.

When she’s not writing, she’s lost in a book, admiring the moon, or raising two boys to be good humans who believe in equality and magic.
She’s here to bring you page-turning escapism with a touch of ethereal, moonlit vibes. Come get lost in the pages.

ARC provided by author - this book 2 blew me away!! The stakes were so high and everything felt so real, I got so immersed in the whole world and loved the deeper exploration of other characters and the side quests. The writing was exquisite and this fantasy world just includes so many wonderful things that i love - my favorite aspect of the book was Nolei really stepping into her powers and community of other witches. I can't wait to read the third book and reading about the Witching wood just felt like a cozy campfire on a starlit night. Highly recommend!!

Held its own with other fantasy books. Really enjoyed the nature side of the witches story here, also felt like it was a solid name for an MMC. But MMC aside.....Fen is Bae 🥰

ARC REVIEW
SPOILERS BE WARNED

This feels like a threat😭😭
That ending hurt and I fear I will not recover until I have book three. I NEED BOOK THREE IMMEDIATELY. I can’t exist on that cliff hanger for long.

Right off the bat got into it. Usually with second books it takes a bit of time to get back into it because the beginnings are kinda slow. NO. NOT THIS TIME. Immediately I was hurting from this turmoil between her and Leo/Torin. I can understand why Noeli is upset and hurting from this betrayal but I feel Ike she could’ve been more understanding as to why he hid it in the first place.

I love the idea of a closed off community of just women. Free from men. I would love that more than anything to be reality.

Cardin’s monologue of sourdough bread had me dying of laughter for 20 min. I really thought Sappha was going to kill him. I was doubled over my stomach hurting from laughing so hard. I have the feeling that those two are going to end up in bed together (hopefully) by the end of this book.

I really wanted nolei and blesse to have more time. Get to know each other. Grow a mother-daughter bond that both of them had already lost in the past. I wanted blesse to meet torin and know that nolei was happy and had a love like her and nolei’s father. I wanted to blesse to live to see the ending of ryellia’s rule. I wanted her to see a peaceful realm where witches were once again to exist freely and without scrutiny.

I do however love the line “all reigns are born in ruin.”

You’re killing me with the “stay safe, but let your courage lead” SWOON WORTHY BABE WTF. Like I want me a Torin (literally ugly crying at this man). He’s just… ugh. I want him for myself. Like “there is no version of tomorrow where I do not claw my way back to you… even the goddesses themselves cannot sever what binds our souls - no breath between lightness or darkness can separate us” like Myla are you trying to make me die from jealousy?!?!

I was given an ARC from the author and after devouring Threads of the Maidens Moon last summer, oh boy I couldn’t wait to get started!

Coven and crown starts with our girl Nolei down bad. This book answers a lot of the questions and uncertainty that was prevalent throughout the first book, with Nolei finally coming into her own and into her powers and ultimate status as queen.

This book felt so much more developed than the first, richer story and I really appreciated the multiple POV as I liked getting to know some of the smaller characters from the first book, especially Eryn.

This could be a me thing, but I would have liked a “dramatis personae” or the equivalent in ancient lunarian. I liked the pronounciation guide but would have liked a sentence on each characters identity, just for reference as we got so many wonderful new characters in this book.

I enjoy Myla rose writing style, she writes in a very honest and matter of fact way that is easy to comprehend and follow. I do enjoy the juxtaposition of a primitive fantasy with modern verbiage, because sometimes a good “fuck” really does need to be spoken.

The magic in this book got a bit more complicated than the first, but still easy to digest and well explained. I enjoyed noleis early relationship with her mom, finally someone for her to trust. I’m so glad we went full send with the witchy stuff right off the bat, because I was yearning for that with the first one. If the first book was about wondering about magic, this one we finally got to learn the magic. Adding this book to my own witching altar.

Also, hell yeah for women that EAT. Myla Rose books always make me hungry, so I also ate a lot of baked goods and bread while reading this book, it was glorious.

We pick up right where we left off, heart broken and bloodied. Nolei must find a way to mend her relationship with Eryn (her best friend) and reconcile Leo (Torin)’s betrayal. We are given a view into Torin (Leo)’s mind with his POV included in this second installment of the Witching Wood Trilogy. True to the second chances theme of this novel, my opinion of Fen (Nolei’s brother) has completely changed and I love how he fits into the found family dynamic. Nolei goes on a journey to discover the other half of her heritage and the feminine power dripping from these pages is intoxicating. One of my favorite comedic breaks in this very heavy book is a scene that involves Torin’s best friend Cardin who bakes ‘the best’ sourdough bread…. I will just leave that there, IYKYK. Again, I am reminded that Nolei is one of my favorite FMCs. She is not a reluctant leader which is so refreshing. She takes her responsibility with the utmost deliverance and recognizes she cannot do this alone. She continues to grow throughout this story, mastering her magic, healing her relationships, and reconciling the trauma she has endured. Again, we are left with our hearts bleeding and anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this epic fantasy.

I knew I would love this book! "Of Coven and Crown" is book two of the Witching Wood trilogy by Myla Rose. You must read book one, "Thread of the Maiden's Moon" first! I am in love with this trilogy, Myla's writing pulls you in and makes you feel like you are there with the characters. Feeling what they are feeling and battling right along with them. Nolei grows and develops so much in this book. Her and Torin (Leo's) love story is an epic one. We can't forget the side characters either, all of them joining together witch, fae, or lothari, it doesn't matter. Cardin, Sappha, Eryn, Fen, and more! I love them all. They all grow and learn together in their combined effort to bring down the Dark Queen, but it is no small feat of course. We also meet Nolei's Kindred Familiar in this book, and she is fantastic! Dark magic battling against moon, clestial, and elemental magic in legendary battles. This book is one hell of a roller coaster ride of love, betrayal, action, discovery, anguish, and so much more! I cannot wait for the third and final book!

Thank you so much to the author for the eARC!

It took me a few days to recover from this book, but I'm finally okay... sort of. This book was just amazing, and I loved that it picked up exactly where the first one ended. I was completely hooked from the very first page.

Noeli is so furious at Leo/Torin after she finds out the truth, so she keeps her distance and refuses to speak to him. Instead, she leaves to meet her mother and continue growing her magic. While she was with her mother, Noeli grows stronger with her magic. While they talk, she realizes the extend of her love for Torin.

Torin understands her pain and wants to earn Noelis’ forgiveness. He fully steps into his role which he was born for and I loved seeing him take charge to fully support Noeli. He’s loyal to her and will do anything for her to make sure she lives.

Overall, I loved this book. I loved that other POVs were added and we get some more perspectives from the other characters. There are also multiple battles in this book and you’ll hate Ryellia even more than in the first book. And the cliffhanger, at the end, had me in tears. I can’t believe I will have to wait for book 3 to read what happens next.

Arc reader review.

I want to start with a quote from the author's last words from the book: "There were many moments when I wondered if it was worth it. Would people care? Would this story find the readers who needed it?"

Yes, it was worth it. People do care and you did find the readers who needed it. Who needed the feminine rage, the feminine power. You bring a feeling of empowerment through your words, through your incredible characters. You bring the desire to exist in a world where women are so badly treated. You bring the desire to step up and just.. Be.

I cannot explain all of the emotions this book made me go through because it's every single emotion I can feel. No feeling was left unscathed.

It brings me absolute joy to be, once again, allowed to follow Nolei, and the now other characters povs in advance. And I don't think I could ever thank Myla Rose enough for doing so. And especially for putting so much into these books.

I will see you for the third book.

This sequel starts off running. It picks up right where the first one leaves off. I enjoyed the second book of the Witching Wood more than the first. I felt like Myla Rose upped the ante more in this one. Sometimes sequels in a trilogy feel like a stretch just to get to book three but this one had all the character growth for Nolei. I felt the pacing in this one was better as well, maybe because I felt more invested in the characters now. Either way great continuation of the series and I can’t wait to see how this ends. If the author keeps increasing the stakes, book three will be brilliant. If you love witches, an evil queen, fierce FMC, action, and swoony romance, I recommend! Thank you to the author for a review copy in exchange for a voluntary review

"In hidden hearts, a bond will grow, Unseen by fate, yet destined so. When love unknown ignites their way, They’ll heal the divided, and be crowned united."

There aren't many books that are generally better than the first one. However, I feel like this book kind of blew the first one out of the water. I love how it picks up from where the first book ended, making this a seamless transition into the next story.

Nolei and Torins stoey is absolutely addictive. It leaves my heart racing and wanting more. Myla Rose knows how to tell a story that makes you want to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next.

This was a four out of five star read for me and I highly recommend it.

I had the absolute pleasure of reading this book as an ARC and I have nothing but positive things to say.
Ahem first off: WHY THE PLOT TWISTS AT THE END OF THE BOOKS?! LET MY BABIES BE HAPPY😭
Now that that’s out of my system: This book is an amazing continuation of the Witching Wood universe. Watching the Nolei come into herself, her roles and her powers was a beautiful experience and so inspiring to me as someone with multiple roles in life. I cannot wait for book 3, which I’m not rushing the author…but I’m rushing the author, respectfully of course.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 (definitely more plot driven and I loved it)

Good LORD I love these characters! The found family?! Absolutely EPIC. I 100% had a blast following Nolei as she met her mom, her story, her kingdom, her coven and learns about all of the different parts of herself.
Experiencing how Torin backed Nolei up- never asking her to shrink or be a lesser version of herself was easily one of my favorite parts.
I adored how Nolei handled everything with so much grace. Every part of her, her brother, and her found family contributed to her growth. She was able to lean on them when she was feeling unsure.

The ending though? I threw my kindle and screamed lol. I AM SO UPSET! My babies 😭😩
I love this series SO MUCH! Can’t wait for book 3!!!

This is my review after receiving an advanced arc copy.

Writing this review is taking me a bit longer than anticipated because I am still emotionally recovering from the cliff hanger. Book 1 was pretty good in the sense of enjoying a nice sunset cruise. It is fun, there is some adventure. Book 2. Well that took me river rafting down class 5 rapids and then blew me right out of the water!!!! This is a fantasy book filled with magic, adventure and romance.

The story just grabs you and pulls you in. I felt like I was right there with Nolei as she continued to learn more about herself and where she came from. I absolutely loved when she gained confidence in herself and was cheering alongside her. She unfortunately finds out that love and heart break go hand in hand. She is the definition of a kick butt FMC and I cant wait to see what she does in book 3!

I enjoyed how Book 2 explored different side characters. I felt it enhanced the world building and made me see different perspectives. It was incredibly intriguing learning about how the different communities survived, especially the female led ones.

I really think I enjoyed the second book more than the first! My only complaint: it ended on a cliff hanger and I am impatiently waiting for the next book!!

I also cant wait to see more of what this author writes!

I got this as an arc.
This book was just as good as the first. I loved that we got to read more POVs and not just Nolei's. Another great thing was that instead of picking up months or years after the events where the first left off. That was refreshing and a welcomed change. I love that we got to see how Nolei and Leo work through the revelation of who he really is. The writing in this book is really well done, and Myra writes really complex and enjoyable stories.

Emotional rollercoaster in book form, all the way till the end. Mistakingly made myself believe and hope this was a duo so the last 1/4 of the book was pretty devastating. This book gave me all the feels.

🖤love
🖤found family
🖤one horse
🖤deception
🖤loss, pain
🖤women empowerment

Spice level was fantastic, especially with a male who strongly believes she should always come first. 👏
Ending left me confused, sad, angry, and excited for book 3 🫶

🔥🖤This is the type of series you continue to think about all the time. I was able to jump right back into it which sometimes can be difficult to do with the second book. I loved that we got to discover more about Nolei while Torin (or Leo if you prefer) revealed more about himself. This one is heavy but sooo good! The second book is even cozier and more witchy than the first! (Even with the chaos)✨💙 I cannot wait to see what Myla Rose stirs up next! 📚 Her writing feels so real and normal. It doesn’t feel forced and I can really connect with her characters 🥰

I was a BETA reader for this book.
Now let me start with BETA reading is NOT for the faint of heart😅
I really enjoyed my read through of this book - it kind of has a little bit of everything. Found family, female rage, forbidden magic, feral devotion and an epic battle (or two). A great follow-up to the first in the series and an even better guide into what is yet to come.

Love how Nolei grows into this book and the sister hood that helps raise her up showing how strong women can be when working together

Cardin is Hilarious as always, I love how he can read Torin like an open book and helps him burn off steam so he can focus on leading the people

Cannot wait for the next book! Always leaving me on the edge of my seat

Beta read

I loved returning to this witchy world, I am emotionally wrecked from all the conflict and tension, and it was epic from start to finish.
It was beautiful and poetic, filled with so much yearning, loss and groveling, and emotional growth from Nolei and Torin.
The villainess is very easy to despise and keeps you on edge throughout, with plenty of surprises and threats.
I also loved seeing the side character povs and the quests and challenges they face.
I love the found family feel, all the banter and the loyalty they have to each other, and how invested I am in all their journeys.
I am still shocked and hurting over that ending and desperate for book 3 already!
