This story was such a thrilling ride through domestic drama. Being someone's best friend until death do you part? The idea? I’m not so sure of that!
Meet Flora and Sophie, two best friends who have been inseparable since they were young. Flora’s parents died in a terrible car accident; Sophie’s mother is an alcoholic. Such deep-rooted trauma can incredibly bind people, and in this case, it brought the girls dangerously close together. They are complete opposites in personality, yet their friendship somehow thrives!
Both girls married into the Cavendish family, hoping to realize their dreams. Flora tied the knot with Sam, while Sophie married Greg, and for a while, everything seemed perfect. However, Flora starts experiencing some odd and almost childish events in her life that are tough to explain. Naturally, fingers begin to point at her mother-in-law, Cecelia. Then, Sophie's own secrets start to pour out, leaving readers unsure of who to trust.
The author does an excellent job of hiding key details and clues until the very end. By the conclusion, everything falls into place, and while I partially guessed the main twist, the how and why remained a mystery. Once the truth emerges, the situation escalates, and I hope you can keep up! This is my second read from this author, and I found this one to be a bit more of a slow burn.
This book is perfect for those who enjoy tales of domestic drama featuring wealthy people behaving badly, mild obsession, and friendships that can turn deadly. If you love piecing together a mystery with minimal hints, this is right up your alley. The ending caught me off guard and had a touch of sadness to it. Overall, I hope both of this author’s books make it to your TBR list!

Wow!! This was incredible!
@abigailosborneauthor takes toxic relationships to a whole new level with this! I had no idea that we were going to end up where we did, just brilliant!
Flora comes across as soft and cuddly and she has all her ducks in a row, until her world gets pulled out from under her by strange happenings. I must say I was behind her all the way in this! This family seemed bad and it felt like they revel in other people's misery. What she tried to do for her and Sam seemed appropriate.
Sophie came across as a real hard worker, someone that was shunned and silenced her whole life. It felt like she was trying her best to get to the top.
I was floored with some of the relevations made and my heart broke a few times for these girls.
What I did not see coming was that end - those last few chapters I practically inhaled!!! What a rush!! Do I still have questions .... sure! Will I get answers ... probably not! Does it matter .... not a bit!! This was such a crazy thriller - even I will be looking over my shoulder from now on!!

From the very first chapter, I was completely invested in Flora and Sophie. Their friendship is the emotional heart of the novel, and seeing two women who have survived so much together continue to fight for one another—even when everything around them is trying to tear them apart—made the story incredibly compelling. Their relationship felt authentic, raw, and full of genuine emotion.
The Cavendish family is one of the most unsettling fictional families I’ve encountered in a long time. Beneath their wealth, status, and polished appearance lies a web of control, intimidation, and psychological abuse. Cecelia is a brilliantly written antagonist whose presence lingers over every page, creating a constant sense of unease without needing over-the-top theatrics.
One of the book’s greatest strengths is its psychological tension. As strange incidents begin surrounding Flora, I found myself questioning everything alongside her. The creeping paranoia, the manipulation, and the constant uncertainty over what was real made for an incredibly immersive reading experience. The gaslighting was handled exceptionally well, making Flora’s growing isolation both believable and heartbreaking.
Sophie’s storyline was equally gripping. Her desperate attempts to escape a marriage built on fear added another layer of suspense and emotional weight to the novel. Watching both women navigate impossible situations while trying to protect one another kept the stakes high throughout.

My gosh I love this authors work so much. I can’t believe how good her writing is and how much I loved this book. Seriously so so good !!!
I was hooked from the first couple of pages I really was. I couldn’t put this book down and I have already got the audio book cause I need to hear this book come to life. So much better!!
This book had so many twist and turn and I couldn’t figure it out. I really liked how we had like parts of the past that came into this book to paint the whole picture. Really was great! This would be so cool to have you and your best friend side by side in marriage married to brothers. I would have loved this for me and my best friend but Flora mother in law Cecelia well isn’t the best and the gloves come off essentially when she find out Flora and Sam they might be moving she definitely isn’t who she seems to be at all. Nope.
I love that you get to hear from Sophia and Floras POV really makes the book !!!
The writing was so good I just can’t over it. I really can’t. This is a book that sticks with you and makes you really think. Like hmmm what ?!
My mother in law is great she definitely has some issues but that’s ok we all I feel like. lol.

Great second read!
This is my second Abigail Osborne read and what I can say is she knows how to write characters with hidden depth.
In this book we meet Flora and Sophie, friends from childhood who are now married to brothers. Told via a split Pov, we learn how they became friends.
Flora's parents tragically died in a car crash and Sophie's mum was an alcoholic who didn't have the time of day for her. They become each others family. They are inseparable. Sophie has always looked after Flora and will do anything for her no matter the consequence.
When strange and unsettling things begin to happen to Flora, Sophie is on hand to help. Then things also begin to happen with Sophie who has always been the strong one. Soon, the question is who needs saving?
The pacing of this one ramps up towards the end, there are reveals that make you question what you've read, and a host of suspicious characters so it's hard to know who can be trusted! Although I guessed the ending, the story is engaging.
You'll love this book if you love stories about obsesssion, manipulation and messy family dynamics.

Firstly a huge thank you to Acorn and Ink for allowing me to read an ARC of Save Her.
This is the second of Abigail Osborne’s books that I have read, the first being The Puppet Master and I’m very quickly growing to love her work.
Save her was an incredible psychological thriller. It was fast paced and filled with an intricate plot that had constant twists and turns.
The start of the book does an excellent job of building the story, the snippets to the past help you understand why Sophie and Flora are so interconnected. The cat and mouse element that’s woven into the story had me sprinting to the finish the book, honestly the last 40% of the book was read at speed because I just needed to see how this played out.
You’re going to be gripped from the first page until the very unexpected ending.
Abigail, I can’t wait to read more of your work.

This book was really such a wild journey. From the beginning up until the very last page .
So I’ll be honest. It was a slow burn , but I truly love a major build up so I enjoyed that aspect. It was fast paced and action packed. The ending was a teeny bit wrapped too soon there were some things that didn’t exactly get an answer that’s the only reason I give 4 but besides that it was a great story. My Thriller reading friends are going to love this one.

I became a fan of Abigail Osborne’s after reading The Puppet Master, so I was excited to read Save Her. She did not disappoint! The story was fast-paced, twisty, creepy, and chilling. You had better not start the book at night because you are going to want to stay awake to read it to the end because you need to know what happens next. Save Her is a thrill ride that sure is fun if you love psychological thrillers like I do! 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Save her is a dark and tense psychological thriller by author Abigail Osborne.
I’ve read other books by this author so knew I was in for a good read and I was not disappointed. Whilst I did guess most of the various twists I still enjoyed the book a whole.
I’d love to hear more of Cecelia’s back story and more about Greg and his situation as I didn’t feel like l got to know him that well as a character.

Save Her was full of drama and events from the very first chapter. It was a slow burn thriller that had me eagerly turning each page, excited to know what was going to happen next.
The underlying theme was of friendship and there was a lot of love within the story even if it was misplaced sometimes.
I was never sure who to trust and the few theories I had about who was behind everything were completely wrong.
This is the second book that I've read by Abigail Osborne now and I'll definitely be reading more. She's a very talented storyteller.
