I'm just a lady with a foul mouth who really likes writing titillating stories about characters who go through experiences we don't have here on earth.
I like tea.

"You mean the galaxy to me, Maria."~Lyrien😘
🚀🛰️🌌✨🛸🛰️🌌✨🛸🛰️🌌✨🛸🛰️🌌💋😶🌫️💋
The story begins with tension and panic. I didn't know what was happening as I tried to understand what was going on as a woman moved through the ventilation system of a spaceship. Obviously there's fear as she put her plan into action to escape from her captors who are... aliens.😱 They are not kind or cute like ET, but a species who the X-Files have been warning us about for years.😳 They do experiments, illegally, like mad scientists.😵💫👽🤰There are rules in the space federation.🌠⚖️🪐
The space opera doesn't reveal everything, I had to go with Dr Maria Pilar Cortes, who's frazzled, as she takes much needed information 💾, tries to escape evil Evangelia with her sludge, don't ask me what kind of creep she was b/c again, not everything is revealed and no answers are given at the end. There's a bit of a cliffhanger.🫡🫡
Now Maria jumps into a very unique ship. Which I won't spoil here. One with no passengers, aside from droids and pets, but there's intelligence on board.🤖 AI. So Maria thinks. Now I have read Ms Di's previous shorter books before, which one is similar to this one in form and character representation, but it's more elaborate here. More play with building attraction and attachment between tall Xtra0354 ((His name isn't lost on me. He is extra in every way.😁)) or Lyrien and Maria. A human and alien trying to learn, question, share their ordeals while trusting and respecting boundaries with each other. Lyrien is very intelligent and intuitive. He asks for consent with Maria in every way. He cares. Maria is very smart, she doesn't hesitate to tell him if something makes her uncomfortable. She's strong and self-reliant. There's humor. More so when the sludge starts to cause corrosion.☣️🧫🧬🧪🧫🧬🧪🧫🧬🧪☣️
I didn't read the first book, the added notes were that I didn't have to. I think in some ways it might be needed, b/c this one has ties to previous book characters. Plus, I don't know if that book led to Maria's abduction?🤷🏼 I have some questions. I didn't understand the brujería history talk. What did that have to do with anything with the story?🤔 The second half is written slightly different from the first half of the book. There's naughty talk and heat.😚😚☄️🌋🥵🌋☄️ Lyrien the elf, how he looks to Maria, was sweet and dirty.😋 Ha!
There's more space action with enemies, some reveals, ties to the first book, and preparing for the next book in the series. I like the book cover. I like Lyrien and Maria.🤩 I enjoyed the story. If you like dramatic sci-fi with galactic romance, this book might interest you. Happy reading.*•>§<•*💚🖤💚🖤

She escaped the lab, but the trap followed her into his body.
Maria is supposed to be evidence, a stolen human body turned into alien research. When she escapes with a data cube and bargains her way onto a living ship, she thinks survival is the only thing left to want. Then Lyrien gives her privacy, food, choice, and care, and those small mercies become dangerous because they feel like hope.
Lyrien has spent his life keeping everyone out. His kind are hunted, his body is a sanctuary, and trust is a risk he learned never to take. But Maria is brave, wounded, funny, furious, and impossible to leave behind. The more she touches his world, the more she reaches the lonely man hidden inside it.
What begins as rescue becomes pursuit, danger, and a slow surrender neither of them plans. Maria helps heal the damage threatening his survival, while Lyrien teaches her that being protected doesn't have to mean being controlled. Their intimacy grows through honesty, consent, care, and the terrifying choice to be fully known.
Maria transforms from a traumatized survivor focused on escape into a woman who chooses connection, trust, and a future on her own terms. Lyrien moves from isolation and self-protection toward vulnerability, learning that love doesn't make him weaker. Their bond grows into one built on trust, emotional honesty, shared care, fierce loyalty, and the courage to keep choosing each other when fear says to pull away.
An ultra-steamy, alien-human, forced proximity space opera romance exploring survival, captivity, healing, autonomy, found family, and devotion. It's about a woman reclaiming her life, a lonely protector risking his heart, and a love built through choice, care, trust, and the fragile work of becoming someone’s safest place. It also honors desire as something earned, dangerous, tender, and deeply chosen.
The Elevator Pitch: After escaping an alien research facility with stolen secrets in her hands, a human survivor finds refuge aboard a living starship whose reclusive guardian has every reason to fear her. As a hidden threat turns her rescue into a deadly trap, trust grows into an intense bond that forces them to choose between self-preservation and each other. Set against a backdrop of pursuit, survival, and found family, this space opera romance explores what happens when two wounded souls become each other's safest place.
Wow- tension right out the gate gets us off to an edge of your seat start! The pacing is perfect, the characters are amazing (I love learning things from Maria (aka Deiri Di) when she explains things to Lyrien), I love the interweaving of characters’ stories, and when I say I can’t wait for the next book let me put it to you the way I said it when I hit the end:
NOoooo! I’m not ready for the epilogue!!!! I want more! ::cue sobbing:: (okay not really but Maelstrom just jumped the queue and I’m reading it as soon as I post my review!)
In case you’re inclined to skip the sensitivity statement, and you’re reading this after Fathom (great book, wasn’t it?!) I’ll draw your attention to this statement from the author:
if you’re reading this because you think it is a direct sequel to Fathom, be aware the characters from Fathom rejoin us in chapter 20. I don’t recommend skipping ahead. You gotta peel that onion nice and slow. That being written, I am not cruel nor do I want you to be mad at me for switching to another character, so to mitigate your potential wrath, at the end of this book in the author note is a link to a short, free, extremely spicy story that bridges the gap between the two and spoils information you will learn throughout the course of this book, and then more directly summarized in Chapter 22.

This is another excellent installment in the series. While each book focuses on a different couple and their romance, they are all closely interconnected through an overarching storyline, making the series especially rewarding to read in order.
One of the biggest strengths is the world-building. The universe feels imaginative and well developed, with fascinating concepts that gradually unfold as the series progresses. One of the most unique elements is the sentient alien spaceship, which adds a fresh and memorable dimension to the story and makes the setting stand out from many other sci-fi romances.
The romance itself is heartfelt and develops alongside plenty of action and high stakes. Every character has their own distinct personality and motivations, making it easy to become invested in both the individual relationships and the larger conflict.
While the featured couple reaches a satisfying happy-for-now ending, the book also leaves the overarching story on a cliffhanger that made me eager to continue the series.
Overall, this is a compelling alien romance with immersive world-building, memorable characters, and an exciting balance of romance and adventure. If you enjoy interconnected sci-fi romance series with an ongoing story arc, this one is definitely worth picking up.

OMG this was so different from anything I’ve read lately, and I was hooked from chapter one. A giant sentient spaceship as the MMC? I was sold immediately. Maria is smart, funny, and refuses to give up, even after everything she’s been through. Watching her slowly go from simply surviving to finally feeling safe was one of my favorite parts of the book. Lyrien absolutely stole my heart with how gentle, protective, and unintentionally adorable he was, and seeing him let someone into both his ship and his heart was so rewarding. I loved how much the story focused on trust, healing, choice, and consent while still giving us danger, action, and plenty of steam. The worldbuilding was so unique, the banter was amazing (“You are the wheel.”), and I honestly couldn’t get enough of these two. The ending left me so excited to see where this series goes next. If you’re looking for an original sci-fi romance with found family, emotional healing, and a love story that feels earned, you’ll def want to pick this one up.
Other quotes: “Your heart rate increased, and your palm exhibits a slight increase of moisture. You’re lying.” “That is a remarkably short name.”
The story was very focused on the couple. She was kidnapped and experimented on by aliens. She escaped and asked him to help her and the spaceship allowed her to board.
But he is an alien, and the ship is his body. He can use his neurofilaments to create rooms and different materials.
He likes her. She likes him. He really likes touching her and giving her gifts.
Spoilers spoilers. . . . . . . . .
After some touching and conversation she reveals the bad aliens let her escape to infect him with a virus. He forgives her and she helps him purge the virus from the ship.
After they have sex, he gains more abilities and can move around the ship.
They find an enslaved ship alien like the hero, he is a Vaurelcar. They free him. He has humans on-board but he won't let them leave yet until he finds a safe space station. The hero is helping Tanlarc fix himself and his ship and teaching him.
They also rescued the couple from book 1. That hero is also a Vaurelcar. He never knew. He is growing bigger and creating a spaceship.
Heroine from book 1 and heroine from book 2 are good friends now.
4.25 stars. This story is dual POV, well written, and a steamy, size difference, hidden identity, hurt/comfort, sci fi romance between Maria, the female human research scientist abducted from Earth and experimented on by aliens, and Lyrien, the male alien lead presenting as an AI for safety reasons, who provides sanctuary for her. I enjoy the complexity of the author’s ideas in her writing. I enjoyed Maria’s perseverance and her determination to escape and remain free. I empathised with Lyrien’s fears and enjoyed his compassion that allowed him to take a risk. I appreciated Maria’s determination to assist Lyrien when danger threatened. I enjoyed the developing relationship and the steamy intimate moments. I enjoyed their compassion for others and the way they provided help whenever they could. I enjoyed the world building and the introduction of other characters. I enjoyed the continuation of the story from the first in the series.

Leviathan is the second book of Leviathans and follows it’s FMC Maria a human abducted by aliens and kept on an isolated research station as a test subject. All she wants is to go home to Earth and does what she must to achieve her goal. Starting a fire in the alien’s food supply was the first step, then the arrival of a resupply vessel becomes her way out. There she meets Lyrien who is the ship which she doesn’t realize just yet but the sound of his masculine voice is drawing them closer and revelations will be coming. I enjoyed their story and really loving the ones featuring the Leviathans which are imaginative, spicy, and so so good as we learn even more about this intriguing species. Then there is the little matter of the data cube she stole from her captors to use as barter for her passage back to Earth. A good story that is nicely written, with engaging characters, danger, action, adventure, emotion, and lots of passion.

This is the second book of the series and I found it very different from the first, which is fantastic. Deiri Di excelled with the plot, angst, action, suspense, romance, slow burn, recovery from past trauma
FMC, Maria, is kidnapped and used as guinea pig for medical experiments. One of her incidents create a chance to escape (or so she thinks) and she takes her own medical data to barter with Lyrien, the Captain of the ship.
I loved this book because MMC is not the standard 2 legged, 2 armed alien we are usually used to being paired with the heroine, making the story more interesting. He is himself the ship they are travelling in. Maria and Lyrien are so kind hearted and willing to understand each other’s circumstances - a rare trait when your survival is at stake.
Looking forward to next book, ends in cliffhanger.
Weird, but not in a good way. She is a favorite author of mine, whose books I buy without even checking. . I did not care for this book at all. It starts out with a lot of woke stuff and victim stuff and discrimination stuff and then got weird. And then it went past weird…I don’t even know what you’d call the next step, but I’m so sorry, I just didn’t like it. I probably have at least 20+ books of hers in my library and that doesn’t even count the ones that I have borrowed and returned. And, I’m going to definitely keep reading her books, but not this one, or any like it. I find it hard to believe that she wrote it. The first part yes but it should’ve ended there.
I will still recommend her books because they are quite wonderful. I just don’t know what happened with this one.
This is the second book in the Leviathans series and it was such an addictive read with the perfect mix of romance, adventure, and emotional tension. The story pulled me in almost immediately, and I loved the unique world building that added so much atmosphere without ever slowing the pace. The chemistry between the main characters was fantastic, with plenty of banter, vulnerability, and heartfelt moments that made it easy to root for them. The spice definitely delivered and fit seamlessly into the story, adding even more depth to their connection. A few scenes felt like they could have been expanded a little more, but overall this was a thoroughly entertaining 4.5 star (rounded up to 5) read that kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Leviathan, the second book in the Leviathans series, follows Maria, a human abducted by aliens and held as a test subject on an isolated research station. Desperate to return to Earth, she takes bold risks—like setting a fire in the food supply—then seizes her chance aboard a resupply vessel. There she meets Lyrien, whose deep masculine voice pulls her in before she realizes his true nature. As secrets unfold, their connection ignites. I loved their story and continue to adore this imaginative, spicy series. Packed with danger, action, adventure, emotion, and sizzling passion, it’s a well-written, engaging read with compelling characters. Highly recommended!.

loved it !! love this series !! love Maria and Lyrien... this is their story...a fast paced rom/drama... she's been abducted by aliens, experimented on ... trapped in this lab... waiting for a rescue, when, she realizes that she has to do it herself if she wants to escape... a fire... a ship... escape... stowaway... and Lyrien, well, he's hiding as his race are captured and enslaved... he doesn't want that, so he hides.. he has drones and cameras everywhere.. and she ends up on his ship... he sends his drones to watch her... his voice is what draws her in !!! not the data chip she stole... this was so good !!!.

We get to delve more into the Leviathans with Maria and Lyrien. Maria is a fighter through and through and I loved seeing her strength in everything she did. These two had a lot of interesting chemistry and I loved seeing the tension break between them.
Now you should read the first book in the series as we do meet up with them in this one. We also get to delve a bit into the plot for the next book and see what else we can discover within this world. I can't wait to see all of the stories come together and we can get a full picture of everything going on.
Olivia is sassy, intelligent, determined, and curious. Lyrien is a unique alien who can create a world inside his ship and needs his mate to unlock his shell lock. The villians they are up against are scary, vicious, sly, and heartless. Can she actually escape her torture and torment forever? Can he save her while his life is at risk. Will they escape the hunters and save other humans in a galaxy that has no true idea what they are, besides dinner and test subjects. Steamy and fun sex with creative and needed knowledge. To me, this was an easy read. Can't wait for the next one.

Book 2 of Leviathans. Can be read as a standalone.
'Bound by a data heist. Trapped with an invisible captor. But the secrets hiding in the dark are larger than either of us can fathom. A high-heat, forced-proximity space opera romance.'
The characters were very complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

The second book in the Leviathans series. After Maria escapes an alien facility with stolen data, she finds refuge and autonomy aboard Lyrien, a reclusive living starship. As their rescue escalates into a deadly pursuit, their initial distrust evolves into an intense bond built on consent and shared survival. This ultra-steamy space opera romance explores themes of captivity and found family, highlighting two wounded souls who choose connection and vulnerability over self-preservation.I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story took off right from the first page and didn't look back ;) Maria is such a strong, determined, smart and funny gal, despite all that she's been through as an abductee that's been experimented on illegally. Fleeing, she ends up on a giant sentient ship...that's our MMC?! Say what! Yes, and I loved seeing how the trust built between Lyrien and Maria as he let her in not only his ship but his heart. Very swoony! Expect to get caught up in the action, drama, danger, healing, trust and steam as these two work their way to a fab HEA. I can't wait for the next book ;D
This author has created multiple layers to her world-building with series interconnecting. They usually focus of different individual couples with some mentions of other story characters, if applicable.
In this case, I will admit that I grabbed it because I thought it was a continuation of the story before it. And darn if the author didn't call me out. sigh...
However, each book I have read (this one included) has been a good visit and helps me understand her world a little better.

This was so good. Some of my absolute tropes were used in this particular story. Size difference, forced proximity and more.Maria and Lyrien, were well written characters. The overall plot was good and kept my interest. This was a quick read but I really appreciated how things progressed between the Maria and Lyrien. The pacing was just right. Their relationship was sweet and Spicy in all of the best ways.
This book is excellent! I am fully immersed in Maria and Lyrien’s fate. Maria doesn’t have superpowers, she is just a normal human being that is left in a rubbish situation. I like her realism, anger, disbelief and empathy. The misunderstandings between her and Lyrien are fun, yet flirty. I love how once they meet, the sparks fly. I also like how each book, gets intertwined with the last one. Book three look like it will be fun. Bring it on!
It’s fascinating to read how the two stories intertwined. The author gives us a clear understanding of the physical make up of Lyrien as it’s kind of difficult to visualize him. These two novellas are more in depth than her Space Cruise. I enjoyed the storyline and plot as there is so much going on to keep it interesting.

This was quite a ride from opening chapter all the way to the epilogue. Maria and Lyrien were so different from the characters of the last book. These two are cerebrial beings who take the time to think through every action they take. I look forward to their further adventures.

This is the second book in the series. It can be read as a standalone but you would benefit much more from reading Book 1 first. There's more action and danger, and a steamy relationship that builds slowly as the main characters open up to each other.

Cute story and the characters are great as well. I really enjoyed the ship being the alien life form. It’s definitely worth reading. I read other books by this author and enjoyed them. Lived the science fiction aspect of the book.

This was another excellent read. Maria has been held captive on an alien ship and experimented on. What did she do when she set fire to the supply closet and stole a data Cube to bargain for her freedom? When sneaking onto another ship, she doesn't expect to be given choices from Lyrien.

Imagine a being so large that it can operate as an enormous organic space ship. It comes across a human woman who is escaping from an alien laboratory and the living ship allows her aboard. I have read many tales of magical, AI, interstellar intelligent ships before who rescue alien abductees, but this was my first ship that was a living being.
Spicy, male female, 1st person dual point of view, contemporary, alien romance. This is the second book in the Leviathans series. You don't *need* to read them in order, but I recommend it. Really fun and original premise/wordbuilding. I can't wait to read the next installment!
