The niece of the saintly priest, Don Dolindo Ruotolo, recounts his extraordinary life in this moving biography. Don Dolindo lived a life marked by holiness, profound asceticism, and immense suffering. Though he endured poverty and countless hardships, he never missed an opportunity to offer his sufferings to our Lord for the healing and conversion of everyone he encountered.
The book is an easy read, but it jumps from one story to another frequently. Also, it reads like the author was trying to reach a word count on an essay. Other than that, the book did a great job of introducing me to the life of the author of the Surrender Novena, and it left me wanting to read Don Dolindo’s own writings.

The story of an amazing priest Fr. Don Dolindo, who was given the words of the Surrender Novena by Jesus, as told through the memories of his niece.
He's a spiritual super hero, that's for sure, but the story itself gets bogged down in a lot of details of names and place etc. as it appears that it was written by a historian.
I would prefer to read his actual writings instead.
